Thank you Onim While writing this chapter, I could easily visualize the change in my mind and how he looked. Describing what I saw was more challenging then I expected.
-
Thank you Brian. My mind could take that pun in so many directions

Thank you for this wolf

Thank you LadyDe. Well, he's a hybrid Alpha/Elemental. I'm not that familiar with what really defines a Mage and the one time I ask some friends involved in WoW about it and a few types of beings, I left the conversation with a headache and in bad need of a drink. lol.

During the past week, Ethan was increasingly on edge. His mood shifted from happy one minute to sad the next. At times, there were angry outbursts for no apparent reason. He was snappy with everyone; yelling he needed space, and telling them to stop crowding him. Only to turn around needing to be held by his mate. His body ached and itched, and nothing he did would alleviate the discomfort. Everyone, including the former ferals, was thankful there had been no new arrivals entering the territor

This had me smiling from start to finish. I had to laugh at his reaction to the first time at the shelter with you telling him to shut up Thank you for sharing your life and giving some of us hope for the future.

Thank you Zenith Knew when I started this that I wanted to bring in more than just wolves.
-
Thank you Avid. So far, there are three people in the pack that could detect him if they run across him and none of those three are people that I'd want to piss off

Thank you Onim The two Solaris meeting could go so many ways, but as you said, it should be interesting.

Thank you rbenn. I'm not sure if they will ever know for sure if Ethan has any Druid in him or not. Based on him having a Celtic background and his ability to heal others, it's a guess, but the legends they have of Elementals talks about healing as well. So far, Ethan just gets feelings as to what's wrong as opposed to actually seeing the problem. Running his hand over the head of a feral, he can feel where he needs to concentrate the healing. It's possible as he learns about himself and grows that this will change or he might just become more proficient at healing.

Thank you Centex Keep in mind that with the rogue pack, this little endeavor isn't part of their main business. He has some information on a large pack that normally he would never engage and has just been probing to gain information without exposing himself or his organization to any risk. Will a criminal gang's greed end up bringing them down or will the leader cut his losses? I didn't want Ethan and Aiden to have to struggle as they start out together, so I though the gift of the house by both sets of parents was a nice way of going. I had fun with the teasing between Aiden and Casey, but from the moment I first thought of giving the guys the house, Casey was going to move with them. With luck, John Doe will remember something. The fact that he can remember the abuse and identifies it with the strength of someone similar to an Alpha might allow him to eventually remember.

Thank you Reader. I'm sorry I didn't notice this sooner. I don't know about strength, but thank you for the compliment. There area a lot of things from those few years that I don't have the strength to talk about or even write about. I was hesitant to post this story given it's nature, but it had introduced me to people that have gone through similar situations to me that I'm thankful because it give me hope to keep going.

I've got to say, I really like Michael!! I still need to read your story about him, but just from this, he is someone I would respect. For some of us, the past tends to haunt us and rarely stays where it belongs. The biggest thing to me at least, is that you tried. You were able to make the effort and it is his loss for not allowing you to be a part of his life. You've been at this longer than I have and seeing that you've managed to find love, get married and even attempt to reconcile things with "him", give me hope that maybe I will find that in my life someday. Thank you for sharing this tim!

The wolf scented the air, and knew several man-wolves were near. It took a few tentative steps to the open cage door. Peering around the edge of the enclosure, it could see the man-wolves on both sides with their pain sticks pointed at it. Ahead looked clear as it sought a path to escape. It dropped to all fours for better speed as it sprinted into the woods, quickly vanishing into the dense foliage. While it was fast on two legs, it was even faster when running on four. It knew the others

Thank you LadyDe. Alex and Nathan as well as any other shifters in the territory should be included in the pack if they want. I may not have written it into the story, but I kind of see Ethan saying something in front of the Alpha about how it sucks that the non-wolves are being excluded. Even as the writer, I have to feel sorry for the Alpha and Jackie, knowing how their son turned out and there not being any explanation for it. It is just something that happened to a loving couple and for the sake of the pack it had to be dealt with.

As always, Thank you Avid. Like you point out, the rogue leader is working off assumptions of how ferals have always been handled in the past. Now he'll have to make decisions based on what he's seeing and what information he thinks is of value from Michael. An unhinged mind is not necessarily incorrect about the operation of the pack, but that information alone is definitely not enough to plan anything more than some tests. Only time will tell

Thank you Jeffery. I've been posting every Monday and with luck, I'll stay far enough ahead with my writing so there are no interruptions in that schedule... hopefully.

Thanks Centex. Darius is having the same experience with Ethan that Alex and Nathan had when he identified their species, and that was even before Ethan was turned. It's possible his very nature allows him to see beyond the physical form of the different shifters and see them for who they are. What part the two new comers will play, only time will tell. Normal procedure for dealing with a feral is kill it, get a DNA sample for the Lycan Council, medical review for research purpose and incinerate the body, so a transmitter well hidden in the dense fur of a wolf could easily go unnoticed and would have if they hadn't reverted to human form.

Great job. I always enjoy seeing when you've posted a new poem.

For a second day in a row, a team of hunters chased down a feral that had crossed into the pack’s territory. They made quick time heading for Silver Pines and after three hours, the capture took place just outside of town. This wolf was a little more aggressive, but it did give up. To the feral, it was no different than any other chase by the ones who held it captive, although this time it was not harmed at the end. It had been trained by the gang for use in their hunting parties. The pack’s hu

Having the parents he does and knowing the way they think it's probably for the best they are as detached from Joshua as they seem to be. Though no child should have to go through that, he is at least preparing himself for when things go south and knows to be cautious. His loneliness at the pool is sad. Another very good chapter!

The writers block seems to be easing. I've had some good days of writing so I still have several chapters beyond what I've posted.
