This side of Dorian is fun for me. Him turning into the guy we met also was, but more for this man who just wants to deal with saying goodbye to the man he called his alpha.

I like the process of giving a character a backstory and building them out into someone you can get to know. What was his family like, who were his friends, all that ends up running through my head and I'm glad when I can get that where it belongs. The stabbing could be the cause of his problems if a fragment of silver remained in him. That would be a constant source of poison and if it remained in him, Ethan would need to heal more than once until it was removed.

Thank you, Raven. Kind of like Chris, Dorian was supposed to be a throw away character. Have an obnoxious bully come in, puff up his chest and just be a general dick. Then he became helpful after the dose of humility Ethan gave him. The rest is now the history of his story.

CJ's interaction with the museum director is just perfect for him. Everything about this chapter comes together so well and it's always great when a squad member shows up.

This is great. I was looking forward to seeing what you did for Earth Day.

Thank you for the wonderful compliments and for the enjoyable comments through the story, Raven. This should have helped to make more sense of the second book. I hope you enjoy the other two books as much. I'm still working on the 5th or I guess I should say multiple options for the 5th and beyond.

My husband jokes that I foreshadowed meeting his family when I wrote this. It's a wondrous thing when a stray ends up with a massive family that accepts him.
-
Thank you, Raven. I wish it was this easy to bring people together.

Thank you, Raven. I kind of wanted to put dragons in this from the start, but there was never a good place to do it. Creating the international guests was fun, but ultimately this was so the Parker Valley Pack could stand with their friends and future alphas to celebrate.

The guys all made some new friends that will be important to them for years to come. On top of them, the council has been taken back by the people who should actually run it. Not bad work for two weeks. Trevor has always been the mystery, even for me trying to include him in various chapters. I'm guilty of just sending him off to school and forgetting in instead of trying to work out his place in all this.

Thank you, Raven. The time with the other alphas is good for Ethan and Aiden. The group can mentor the younger couple in ways John and Jackie can't. The run through the mountains adds to the list of places I want to go. It would be fun to see all the places I've written about. It was important for the people gathered to see Ethan safe a life as easily as he took one and also reinforced the idea that he could cure a feral if he could save someone from a lethal poisoning.

The Lycan Congress chapters were the ones that made me the most nervous to post. Even if they totally bombed, it was still part of the story I wanted to tell, but I'm happy they worked out as well as they did.

Ethan fights the way he learned on the streets. He could probably teach the others, but it's more of an acquired skill of necessity. I still enjoy him throwing his opponent 30 feet into the lake to cool down. I try to avoid crossing lycan politics with real world, but I modeled the councils corruption of how I view congress. Less bloodshed in the real life, but still out to line their pockets at everyone else's expense.

JP does have two personalities, sort of. There is the French-Canadian pack alpha trying to make sure his people are safe and the one he displays to the people in his gang. That isn't to condone anything he's done, but slightly different from duel personalities. Kind of like a gay man trying to live a straight light. JP doesn't so much want to die, but knows it's highly likely for everything he's done, and that it would be fair justice if he did. He also realizes that he's found someone who can assume control of his pack and give them the protection from outside harm if he does die. Yes, Aiden has a lot riding on his decision. He has seen and experienced the gang first hand. His law enforcement training and basic instincts would be to destroy this person who has committed such horrible crimes, but he knows there is more to it along with everything the man had documented.

Great chapter. CJ and Owen get along so well with the cadets and it makes for a fun trip for everyone. Gotta love Fred and his interaction with CJ. The "Ten Hut," is just icing on the cake.

Thank you, Raven. Kind of like the Christmas chapter or Ethan's first shift, this was one of my favorites to write. Aiden giving himself to Ethan in the playroom, Casey, Darius, and Cody becoming mated, plus the celebration at the apartments. I like the idea of diversity and it is a strength. Just wish the real world could learn that.

You've had me smiling as I go through these comments. I enjoy when a chapter causes questions.

I had way more fun with JP than I expected. The way i had him when first introduced in the bar, he was going to remain just an average, cut-throat criminal who was quickly killed off. Then I gave them the five lights conversation with Aiden and his character took off.

Thank you, Raven I enjoyed writing all the chapters, but this one was among my favorites. Ethan deserved to have a special Christmas with his mate, family, and small pack. I ran through all the possibilities with Gaelan, but since he's named after two BSG characters I knew he had to survive.

Thank you, Raven. It's fun having JP as a mystery.

Never be what pisses off a powerful luna. It just doesn't end well.

The black suits getting captured was fun for me. Figuring out how to heal that many feral proved to be a challenge at the start. While I've given Ethan virtually unlimited power and he hadn't run into any problem he couldn't fix, the construction of the cellblock was something he couldn't overcome. On the surface with him in contact with the ground and nature, put him in his element.

Thank you, Raven. I'm not familiar with Taoism, but it now give me something to research. The more time that passes, the more Ethan is able to control his gifts. Aiden, possible just through shear rage and anger is able to make use of what Ethan's given him without completely draining himself. You're right about who Michael's greatest victims are.

A certain level of mythology and legends is part of all shapeshifter's lives. It's something they're taught even if many quickly disregard it. Those who know of the Elementals revere them. They are know more in the solaris community since it stopped their extinction at the claws of the wolves. Being presented with one, Gaelan knows he has to do something to try and ease this person's pain.
