    Arrival

Gotta say, there's something cool about reading one of your chapters for the first time when it gets posted for a change. Love this and it's a great continuation from CDMX and Key West.

Just happy I'm not playing with those big hoses all summer this year.

    Wheelchair Guy

I go out of town for a couple weeks and come back to find this little gem posted. Such a nice way for me to start my day. Brion will be a fun new moon to CJ's orbit.

    Wheels

Another wonderful addition to the CJverse we've all come to know and love. It may only be one chapter, but this introduces us to a new character and the ups and downs that make life what it is. Like all of Carlos's books, a definite must read.

    Chapter 14

It's great to see you adding to the story. This update was long overdue, but well worth the wait. It was easy to pickup where we left off too, though it's always fun to go back and reread what the guys have been up to. I hope the doctors are able to do something for your vision. 🐺

    Key West

This is a great, and much needed addition to the CJ saga. The different POV from the matching chapter of Cadet only serves to enhance what we'd already been teased with. It's always a pleasure to read your work, Carlos.

    Moving Reasons

I enjoyed this as much today as the first time I read it. Nice to see it finally posted. It's still fitting you named the HR person after two deadly snakes. I'm still disappointed there was no Nurse Pomfrey nearby.

    TA-Epilogue

You missed this when originally posted? That was a week after what I joked was the final chapter. Happy you found it now. Part of me still thinks I should have ended the story as I had intended, with Dorian's death. My reasons at the time for adding this chapter seems all the more important now. A little happiness out of the darkness can go a long way. Dorian and Karissa got their happily ever after and the readers get a feel good ending. Thank you, Clancy. I hope you find more surprises as you read.

    CDMX

Once again, Mr. Hazday crafted an incredible story to build on the life of CJ Abello, Owen Liston, and their daughter Liebe. It chronicles the young diplomat, on his first assignment, working at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. We're treated to a variety of new characters who fit in well with the Abello/Liston family. Intrigue, action, and of course wonderful travel locations all come together to make this the perfect addition to what Carlos has previously crafted. This is a definite must read, no matter if you have or haven't read the previous books.
  10. Every time I read this chapter it gets better and better. It's a great end to this part of CJ's life. Ambassador Cox, even with the small part she played in the story is a wonderful character. Austin, Calum, Sir Kent, and many others were fun additions to the cast. Awesome job!!

tim, you're writing is always beautiful and thoughtful. Lonely observation can lead to insight about the world our about what's within. You have a gift for getting people to set with you and learn.

I've read this several times during editing and know what's going to happen, but my pulse still rises when CJ gets the text from Owen. Very well done chapter. I still think you should have ended this book here like Brett's accident, but I'm just evil that way. 😈

I haven't hit my 30th yet, so nothing to remember. Though if I do it right, I suppose the video will be the only real memory. Great chapter. Chipper is always fun to have around. As one of the two most famous of the Squad he does make it back often. He also hasn't let things go to his head and hopefully won't. Nice to see CJ and Peter getting along better. The teasing between the two works well here. At about a foot taller than Peter, I can understand his feelings on being picked on for his size. Kind of a pity CJ didn't arrange a special concert for every person employed at the embassy, except for Northman.

This was a nice gift to wake up on a Sunday morning to. Great chapter. Another day in the life if CJ, with a spy walking up and saying, "Hi. I'm a spook." Love Northman being kept out of the contact report list. Why do I picture the ambassador and Spike telling CJ not to bother including him since they foresee an accident in his near future.

Great chapter. It might have been a short visit, but always nice when Sean gets to make an appearance. All the sights they visited sound cool.

    CDMX • XXXII

This is such a wonderful chapter. CJ shines when put in front of the press, especially when he thinks he doesn't. Having read this several times during the editing process, it's just as enjoyable, if not more than is was the first time around.

A nice Sunday surprise. It's fun having the Oscars from a different POV from Ranger. Also great having Stephen shot down once more is a great way to start the morning. With how often high-up people roll over him for the sake of CJ, he's going to have tire marks embedded in his face and scalp.

Thank you for the enjoyable comments and wonderful compliments throughout the book. We'll see if Brandon and Austin adopt Dainen in the future.

Thorin getting slapped down by Brandon was fun to write. Especially with how everyone else rallied around Dainen. The Liston Winery scene is what actually started this book. Thanks to Carlos and the CJ series, I knew where I wanted to visit in and around Sydney and Brandon got to do his own along the same lines.

While I commented before that I try not to write sex scene's that often, this one flowed well and while not planned, allowed Brandon and Dainen to bond friends (even though sex isn't required for that). Plus, my husband asked if it could be added and helped guide it's development.

We know not all wolves are good just like people, the same is likely true with Elementals too. Unlike Dorian, Brandon's time in Australia isn't done, so I wasn't going to kill him off. Dragging out his recovery would have been a pain too with no real benefit to the story. Plus I kinda like Brandon and wanted him back on his feet sooner than later. As to his wolf being so quiet, Brandon just went through something major that almost killed him. Even with Ethan's healing abilities, it took a lot out of both the human and the wolf side. While Brandon's awake, the wolf is still sleeping as they recover.

I'm still thinking I should have left Dorian dead like I originally wrote the story. 😈😈 There are apparently more Elementals in the world. Legends are a nice place to start, but they're rarely accurate. When I started writing, I was under the mistaken impression that gay fiction needed to have sex scenes in it. The ones I've written were fun, but it's kind of a pain also. I'm a major flirt and my characters pick that up from me. While I'll still include a sex scene at times, I try to limit them to when it flows with the story rather than just to have the guys going at it.

Even though many people struggle to know themselves better and accept all parts of who they are, it's harder for Brandon. His human and wolf side will likely always be more separate than some of the others, but they are moving closer. The more time Brandon and Ethan are together, they both realize the other isn't that bad.

I've seen so many neighborhoods like this, or an entire town during the 2021 season that I'm getting desensitized to it. It still effects me and is demoralizing during and after the firefight, but it's been a sadly common sight for me over the last several years. The only plus to my time in Australia is something like this wasn't common. I think the entire state of NSW lost a total of 2800 homes during the fires.
