The event that got Chris in this situation takes place in chapter 13 of Running with the Pack, which thanks to you is now back to book 1 in the series. He's effectively living under house arrest. Everything he does is heavily monitored, but he is watched for how he acts and treated accordingly.
Thank you, Raven. Chris makes an extremely brief appearance in a few chapters of Running with the Pack starting with chapter 10. He was a use and toss character at the time. While trying to work on a follow-up to Running, and not getting very far, Chris popped into my mind.
Thank you Raven. You mentioning this as a prequel had me looking for what was going on. Not sure how it got how it got placed in the first position, but I've corrected that and it's back to #2 in the series. This was written second and posted a while after Running had concluded.
I think this is one of my favorite chapters so far. Chipper gets mentioned a couple times, and wins some awards, Ambassador Cox makes a small appearance, we get some time with Sir Kent mentoring CJ again and appraising his abilities, and Stephen gets slapped down with the assistance of new ally Carter. How can it get better?
A bite from a lycan causes a violent reaction in most humans as the virus takes hold. Ethan being not entirely human probably made it worse, even though being mated to a wolf was his destiny.
Thank you, Bear. I'm glad these early chapters were rewritten, reviewed, worked on some more before they were originally posted. Especially glad they were edited and rewritten again so the readers can enjoy it and not cringe at how they started. lol
Thank you Lt.Mac. It's not an activity I'm overly fond of since it's too close to negative experiences I've had, but my husband enjoys it from time to time and I'll do most anything for him. I worked with people to learn how to safely and properly administer the flogger. When it's done just right, and I see the pleasure he feels, it's worth it.
It's a toss up between the two. Chris has deep remorse about everything he did, but sees the amount of pain me goes through to shift as part of his penance.
