Jackie is not The Alpha of the pack, but she is half of the alpha pair. She's a full alpha in her own right and silently splits the leadership duties with her mate. Per position as part of the alpha pair gives her the rights to step in when needed. Ultimately she's the mother to the pack and will defend those they care for. With her own son as the danger, in her mind it had to be her to deal with him.

Thank you, Will. Originally I was both writer and editor. It didn't go to well as there were tones of errors. I've never had a beta reader, but after completely redoing all 50 chapters with my editor it greatly improved. I think you might be confusing my with Mann Rambling as I've noticed you referred to me as Mann a couple times now.

Lycan in my world come in both male and female. Insemination can occur from frisky behavior in either wolf or human form. At a certain point, the mother would loose the ability to shift to wolf for the duration of the pregnancy and the offspring is born in a human form. Going through puberty triggers the first shift. The age at their shift can vary just like changes in human adolescents. The lycan family live their lives alongside humans: go to work, to school, the mall. The superior strength of lycan make them well adapted to sports like football.
