Thank you, Bard I had fun writing those two chatting. Casey's always been the one running around, mounting any guy who'd let him. Now he's told to his face he'll be the bottom, and gets excited by it. It worked out well. As far as the house being soundproofed, they've got a little acreage around them. What's a little extra howling in the night when you live in a large wolf pack.

Thank you again, Bard. It's kind of a lycan thing. Sex isn't a taboo and in Aiden's case, he's more than happy to share at times. Probably the dog in him Only reason Trevor wasn't in the loop was the order from Alpha Stockdale about not discussing it. If he was living full time locally, he'd have known.

I went back and forth with this when I originally wrote the chapter and I knew I'd catch heat from the readers. I was leaning towards it just being Aiden and Ethan. Ultimately it came down to combining the two sides for one reason. There is a line most people might miss in the rest of everything going on: no one noticed the slight smile on Michael’s face as he was held down against the bar by the powerful wolf. Their own arousal covering the scent of their prey. Both Ethan and Michael got what they wanted. One in a wonderfully romantic way and the other through brutality. Michael may be insane, but he's also not stupid. He tends to be very calculating, so odds are this was a scenario he considered while trying to find the rogues. My real regret was not being able to end the chapter with the heart monitor going to a flat line. 😈 Would have made for a nice cliffhanger.

Thank you, Bard Yes, The lycan was proposing marriage to the human without talk of getting turned. That discussion between them can wait for another time. Aiden is making a human offering to Ethan who is happily embracing the lycan world for his mate. Ethan is now in the company of his true mate. By lycan lore, that's the person who completes him on every level. Aiden is likely the one who unlocked Ethan's abilities as they both go through changes leading up to their mating.

The lake is a good place to relax, and who doesn't like a little skinny-dipping among friends I'm sure Aiden and Casey were both shocked at Aiden being picked up and spanked. Size is no indication of strength or weakness though. For Ethan, his mate left a hand print that turned him on. He was going to return the favor. Ethan will definitely not be anyone's bitch, though submission and dominance can be shared in many ways.

With how heated things get between the two, I'd guess the water would actually boil in the pipes before freezing

These responses to the chapters continue to make me smile. I had thoughts of the relationship taking a more animalistic nature with one being dominant or alpha to the other, but it didn't work out for how I wanted each character to behave. Ethan would have quickly shut that down, grabbed the bigger guy by the balls and made him beg to be a bitch in exchange for said balls not being torn off Kanley was added to the story during it's rewrite. Aiden's original response was too weak for someone who's mate had been attacked. As much as I wanted the fight to take place, the die had been cast and there would have been no way to avoid Michael dying at Aiden's fangs. Still, it will be fun for me when someone catches the reference Flawed as it may be, John's decision ultimately comes down to that of a father. No matter how good a leader he is, how strong he is, can he really take the life of his son without trying everything possible not to first. Chris' fate was directly tied to Michael's. If one was to be put to death, the other would as well since they were equal partners in the crime. Remorse was shown by one and even though John knew in his heart his son had none. He tried to hold on to a shred of hope in his heart that his son could not be as evil as his mind said the boy was. Mark as a long time friend and doesn't know just how bad his friend's son is. He's willing to help if he can so there is honor in his decision. He wants security precautions in place to handle possible problems, but again he doesn't know what's heading his way. All around it was an imperfect choice, but could many fathers make a different one?

That is the moment Ethan finally believes what the alpha told him. Without his mate to guide him, he would never have accepted the truth because he would not have tried to find it. Even being still so new to the relationship and his new life, the water changing to the droplets is an expression of love he would have never thought possible a short time ago.

I greatly enjoy your speculation The lunis vary in size just like the lupus, but they are imposing figures. This leave Aiden with new worries, but also some comfort in knowing his mate can protect himself.
-
Thank you, Bard. Ethan does have a way with animals. Neither Aiden or Ethan have any clue what caused the water to dance around them, but Aiden's response pushes his romantic side a little more. A part of me wishes I would have had John order Robert to be neutered even if he didn't intend to carry that out. Still, the puddle Robert left at listening to Rafe say why he couldn't administer the lashing was satisfying to me.

Michael knows something happened, but doesn't understand what. If he told his story to the Council, it's possible someone would believe him, but odds are they'd think he was crazy.
-
Ethan got to see what awaits him when he turns. As terrifying as the prospect seems he also saw the love surrounding someone on their first shift.
-
Thank you, Bard. It was definitely a lot of research, but I'm happy I did it.
-
Thank you, Bard. It seemed like the appropriate way to finish their time at the waterfall. And it was a first step in each marking their territory Aiden is definitely finding his romantic side.

The three younger brothers accepting Ethan into the family and trying to include him in as much as they can was a gift to the stray. And he gets to do things he hadn't had access to in years, if ever. Playing fetch, while considered embarrassing to a wolf, gives some special bonding time with a member of the family. Allowing Ethan to chose his attackers fate was more of a test than anything. It gave the alpha a chance to look into the teen's heart by what he decided. At this point, John is assessing whether it's a case of teen rivalry or something more. He also views service to the community as a better punishment than taking a strap to someone if possible. It is up to interpretation if that is weakness or strength in leadership.

On the streets there was only one trade presented to Ethan. Unfortunately it wasn't one he could find pride in. It would be interesting to see another wolf try to mate him and watch Aiden's reaction. The fur would most definitely fly and someone would end up dead. The lycan gerbil suggestion gave me a good laugh

Thank you, Bard. I think I'm enjoying your comments as much as you're enjoying the story. The alpha sees his son differently from others. Or more correctly, he's blinded to some aspects of his son. Aiden's wolf needed the run to keep itself under control and burn off some excitement and excess energy. Both parts of him wanted to remain with Ethan, but the animal has needs. He also knew Ethan was in the safest hands possible. ti

Thank you, Bard. Ethan is giving up independence with this change in his life, but he doesn't need to worry about where his next meal will come from or where he'll sleep. While the adjustment is difficult, it is also somewhat of a relief if he can accept the struggle of the past several years are in fact behind him.

Thanks, Bard. My writing style has been described as a slow burn. I don't like to hurry, but instead try to enjoy the moment. And why not shove a cold, wet nose in someone's crotch. All those wonderful scents to enjoy

Thank you again, Bard. Each of these I read brings a smile to my face

This was a cool question and the responses were great. I hope more questions come in. I really enjoy this feature and appreciate all the work @Carlos Hazdaydoes to present it each month.

Having gone through a self-realization of my own, though not quite like Chris did, this was fun to write.

Thank you, Acid. I'm happy with how the revision turned out and to me it was well worth the effort. That isn't even counting what I learned from Carlos during his editing.
