I just got done reading it and thought that the flashbacks were a great way to let us get to know the characters a bit better. I do like the name Dominic Steffanson so I'm glad you kept it. Perhaps your subconscious was trying to tell you something when it kept nagging you to call him 'Dom'...lol I also found the juxtaposition of the lunch scene with the after-sex scene kind of interesting. And since they had subway sandwiches I was like, "Kinky!" Looking forward to the rest, hopefully we'll know more about Derek's secret.

I'll probably give the person above me a try (since he sounds naughty and I'm weak). Trust me, there's not much I can teach you that you don't already know. But we could learn together. Now that's cute!

I don't post my poems online very often but here's one that I just felt like writing for some reason and thought I'd share with you all. It's called 'Forever' and is about the passage of time and how difficult it can be to adapt to changes in our lives. It isn't about anything or anyone in particular but the emotions are based on real experiences. Forever It seems as if a thousand years Have passed and worn me out, Taking with them all my strength And the fire I could not live without. The air I breathe consumes me, My mortal vessels begin to dry. I feel life flowing through me Yet in this weakened state I lie. I second Nephylim's comment, it seemed too short even for a prologue. I thought it was a good start, though, and I'm definitely curious to find about Derek and his secret, like why he thinks he's sick (my guess is it's either because of self-mutilation or sadomasochism). If his secret does turn out to be the latter then it would be kind of ironic that the other character is named 'Dom'. Perhaps it's intentional or I'm reading too much into it. Either way, I'm looking forward to the other chapters.

Hi, I just wanted to let anyone who might be reading Walker's Path know that I'm still working on the story and have no intention of ending it just yet. I know that it takes me a while (almost forever) to update and I apologize for the delay, but just know that new chapters will be up in the coming months. I'd also like to thank those who have sent emails, reviews and PMs. You've all been a great help. While waiting for updates feel free to discuss the storylines, the characters and individual chapters in this thread. I am open to criticism and would appreciate any kind of feedback (be it good, bad or flame-y).
