  1. This was a great story to start my day! I read it to my son (minus the swear words), and he thought it was hilarious!
  2. Hey, Drew! Missed you too, buddy.
  3. The same thought also crossed my mind.
  4. No, nothing special. Just some gardening and yard work, maybe a campfire.
  5. Hey, Spikey! Hey, Bertie.
  6. Yup! We're all good, thanks.
  7. Dinosaur anthro's?!! The purple Triceratops character, named Fang, is non-binary. Not sure yet about other rep. The game is scheduled to be released sometime later this year, for PS4, PS5, and Windows.
  8. Glad you're feeling better, Comsie.
  9. The United Avian General Assembly has designated Gary's farm as a "no-fly" zone.
  10. He's busy reading and reviewing.
  11. You look so cute! Hey again, Drew!

  13. Hot dogs, S'mores, and fire-baked mac and cheese.
  14. Hey, Drewbear! Happy Mother's Day to Mama Espinosa!
  15. Hey, Terry! Yup! Things are good here. We had a campfire last night, though the drop in temperature after sundown necessitated a blanket snuggle.
  16. First campfire of the season! For dinner tonight, we had hot dogs, fire-baked mac and cheese, and S'mores. It quickly got cold after sundown, however, so Max, Morgan and I bundled up in a blanket next to the bonfire pit.
  17. Hey, Tink! You look cute!
  18. I wasn't worried about the money; you put it better than I did. I'm concerned that he might not get in, and he'll end up being disappointed. But there are other, similar programs, and even if Max doesn't make the cut, he can always try again next year. I'll check the website again, to see if it says anything, but I also sent them an inquiring email. Still waiting to hear back. I explained to Max that even if he auditions, there's no guarantee that he'll be accepted. He just looked me in the eye, very seriously, and said, "Trying and failing is better than not trying at all." That was all the convincing I needed. So, I talked about it with Morgan. Money isn't an issue for us; if the SI program says yes and agrees to have him, we'll allow Max to participate. He is currently down in the studio, working on an audition video. I suggested that he make several videos, and send them to multiple SI programs, as if he were applying to colleges.
  19. *siiigh* School is almost over. For most kids, that means vacation. Sun, sand, surf, maybe some camping. As for my kid, he's already talking about a Summer Intensive. Is it too soon? Max has only been dancing for eight months. He's been getting better, but some other kids have already been dancing for years before Max started. I worry that he won't have the experience of other kids his age. There's an SI program in Grand Rapids; the 8 - 11 year old division is between $285 - $540 tuition, depending on whether you want one week or two. We missed the window for in-person auditions (that was back in February), but they accept video submissions until the end of this month. There's also the issue of sleeping arrangements. Is it like a boarding school, or would the kids be expected to stay in a hotel with their families? My boy has certainly given me a lot to think about.
  20. Hey, Drewberry Pi!
