  2. With SpikeyDrew calling each other names every other sentence?
  3. I still enjoy gummy worms. But combined with the pudding and the crushed cookies, it was too much.
  4. I went along with it because I remembered my mother making a version of it for Halloween. I suppose it tasted better in my memories.
  5. Actually, no, thank Cod. That's a medical myth.
  6. I made a "Dirt and Worms" pudding dessert last night. It was Colton's idea. I'm not sure I did it right, but the kids were happy, at least. I only tried a small portion, and I felt nauseous from the sugar overload. 🤢
  7. @Bucket1 I found a copy of an old telly series called Round the Twist, adapted for DVD. I bought it because it sounded funny—and it is, but the humor is...unhinged. What the hell did I get myself into?
  8. I Hear the Sunspot, by Yuki Fumino Kohei Sugihara is a university student who developed significant hearing loss during high school. His experiences have gradually pushed him into social isolation. He finds it difficult to connect with classmates, and he's become accustomed to keeping people at a distance. Then he meets Taichi Sagawa. Taichi is practically Kohei's opposite: outgoing, straightforward, energetic, and occasionally rather impulsive. He's also struggling financially and looking for work. After discovering Kohei's situation, Taichi offers to take notes for him in class in exchange for meals. What begins as a practical arrangement gradually develops into a genuine friendship, and eventually something more. The reading order: I Hear the Sunspot I Hear the Sunspot: Theory of Happiness I Hear the Sunspot: Limit (Three volumes) I Hear the Sunspot: Four Seasons (Three volumes)
  9. She'll definitely put him with the Hobbit.
  10. Hey, Bumble B. I'm having some spiced blood orange tea with a little bit of brown sugar.
  11. I made baked lamb buns for dinner. Tomato, cucumber and parsley salad with lemon-mint yogurt sauce served alongside.
  12. It's been quiet today. Drew must be preparing some mischief for page 666.
  13. When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. Several days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards." He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling." So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..." Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing."
  14. Wait. It's inspired by "Baba Yaga"? Say no more; I'm sold.
  15. I've also been experimenting with photography and filming on my phone.
  16. Actually, I think I might leave hospitality/restaurants and start writing full time. Research or non-fiction to start, maybe some food writing.
  17. That's how I feel on a good day. This job sucks. 😟
  18. It was Macaulay Culkin waving through a window.
