  1. Well, he was born in '97, according to his bio. So, he's only four years younger than me, right now. 😂
  2. Yep, they're all doing good in school.
  3. Both busy with their families, this weekend. Next week, maybe they'll come over. I'll make pancakes for them then.
  4. Yup. Still here, watching a movie with Morgan.
  5. Yeah, Mickey is a sweetie when it comes to his nephews. And Rory, too. But Grant is only a year-and-a-half. Too young for kayaking yet. 😀
  6. We're doing well, ourselves. No mishaps occurred while my nephews were visiting. Mickey changed a couple of diapers after dinner. He and Grant sat on the sofa and cuddled while Mickey read Grant a story called Seven Silly Eaters. Morgan is watching a movie with Mickey right now.
  7. Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash! *waves to the foster kids* How is everyone?
  8. Glad you saw your favorite butcher, Clo. Shame about the zipper, though. Mickey helped me make sure that the electrical outlets were secure before the nephews came over. I also did some laundry before going to the market, and I got some writing done.
  9. Hey, Clo. It's 53F/12C here. Pumpkin donuts and apple cider were bought at the farmer's market. I also bought a good, sharp Wisconsin cheddar for the fondue. Mickey is playing with Haley and Grant in the living room. Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. *scratches for the wee pup* Hey, Bumble B. Hey, Bertie! How are you and Steve?
  10. Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle.
  11. They wanted to have a three-way with Tom, but he was too busy trying to hit Jerry with an anvil. 😀
  12. Grant and Haley are doing fine, so I hear. No colds or sniffles yet this season. Haley is....five months old, I think? And Grant is a year and a half. I'll pass on the sentiment to Mickey and Remy.
  13. We're all doing well. Morgan went to bed early tonight. Deirdre is bringing Grant and Haley over on Saturday. Mickey called me today, and he's so excited to see his nephews. I think Remy is probably going to be busy with something this weekend, and IDK about Rory. What are the girls reading?
  14. Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash! *waves to the foster kids*
  15. Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. *scratches Thistle behind the ears* I'm not overly fond of lamb, but if you're willing to share, could I have some gratin potatoes, please? Hey, Buckie.
  16. Blame the Germans. They're the ones who started it, I believe. On the other hand, I do like other kinds of sausage, though.
  17. Yep. He's a recent discovery.
  18. Does anyone have any stories/books they can recommend, about boys and ballet? Either on GA or offline. I've been reading "Dancing on a Star" by Ronyx, and I have the Billy Elliot movie novel.
  19. Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash! *waves to the foster kids* I'm sure the kids love their "mommy" very much.
  20. I think pork chops are much more appetizing than blood sausage.
  21. Pork chops and applesauce is a classic food pairing, going back to the 1890's. We roast the apples in the oven, and then mash two-thirds of them with the potato masher. The rest of the apples are added after. I think some recipes finish the chops by baking them in the oven, with the applesauce spooned over the top. The acid in the fruit keeps the meat tender and moist, so it doesn't dry out.
  22. Pork chops marinated in honey mustard, with applesauce and roasted potatoes.
