Beautiful chapter! You write about children with such tenderness and affection that I found it challenging to read this chapter without resorting to tissues. Cade will be a fabulous addition to this growing extended family, and has made the emotional content of the story that much richer. -
Hmmm... tag-teaming the straight-ish talent, huh? Kenny may not think he’s bi, but he’s definitely not a 1 on the Kinsey scale, either. Then again, who could resist those two, especially the gorgeous Native American with long hair? (Yeah, I also have a thing for long-haired guys.) The memorial service sounded lovely and appropriate, focusing on Simon’s achievements instead of his character (thank God). The music couldn’t have been more perfect. A Chorus Line is one of my favorite Broadway shows of all time; I was lucky enough to see it in the 70s (I was two years old... in my revisionist history), as well as the 2006 revival that began its pre-Broadway engagement in San Francisco before it went to New York. A seven-year-old boy?! I can hardly wait to see what this does to the plot and character dynamics. Knowing Geoff’s other work as it involves children, it will only enrich and deepen the emotional content of the story.

JJ is truly remarkable. I find it fitting that he used Simon‘s money to compensate the people the perv hurt most. I had to turn the attorney part of my brain off as the gift tax consequences kept piling up, but it’s nice to have a fantasy story that allows us to ignore that unpleasant reality. The hotel scene with the fab four was incredibly hot and gave a certain balance to the plot: this way Zach doesn’t feel excluded or jealous. It certainly brought them as close together as guys can possibly get, while maintaining the distinction between making love and fucking just for fun. Somehow, it seemed more, though; it cemented the bond between four close friends who have formed a family of choice.

Surprises and Revelations
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Surprises and Revelations
I loved this chapter! One of the things I most appreciate about your writing - aside from sizzling hot sex, story lines that are set out like scenes in a play or musical, and constant references to musical theater - is the genuine romantic love connections you feature in your plots. I’m thrilled for JJ and Zach, as well as JJ’s mother. The airport scene was great. I’ve been in and out of Austin-Bergstrom International any number of times, though, and I never had experiences like that! (Then again, my husband might’ve had serious objections if I had. 😏) I’ve also never seen any guys there who even approached the hotness of the fab four. UT Austin, however, is a different story. I digress. 😈 You handled the Simon tributes with subtlety and grace. While they were all accurate, the muted eulogies were notable for what they didn’t say. -
Unforgivable… in every way. Withholding JJ's mothers letter from him was a monstrous, selfish act. I retract the mean things I said about her. Turns out she did have a spine. The villain was Simon. Again. All characters, like people, are complex and a mixture of positive and negative. Simon, however, is in a class by himself. I’m relieved that JJ is now financially independent, even though the source is tainted. He’ll need to use a chunk of that to hire a good therapist. Thank goddess for Jason’s and Johnny’s friendship and support.

Magic to Do: A Cast Party for the Ages
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Magic to Do: A Cast Party for the Ages
Ding dong. That’s all I’ll say about Simon for now. I’m glad JJ opened up to Jason so that he could feel their support and love and start to feel more secure. I’ve been to many, many cast parties in my life, both as a cast member and a musician, but I’ve never experienced one that ended in a monster cock DP! 😁 That was an incredibly hot scene. I loved this chapter because it felt very personal to me; I could identify with so much of it. As an accompanist, I’ve experienced that feeling playing for singers when the magic happened and we were so much in sync that the whole was far greater than the sum of the parts and the performance felt transcendent. It’s thrilling when it occurs. In fact, you inspired me to go sit at the piano and play along with the soundtrack of Wicked for awhile this evening. I can truthfully claim that I have accompanied Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel. 😉 -
I love seeing Jason and Johnny’s relationship deepen as they probe the depths of their expanding... feelings. Excellent chapter.

Simon is kind of like a mafia boss: incredibly loving and generous on one hand; but creepy, intrusive, disrespectful, and manipulative on the other. JJ's play time with guys his own age was super hot; Simon’s spy cams were not. I worry about the lasting psychological damage to JJ from his unhealthy relationship with Simon - who is plenty old enough to know better. Not only that, but all of these espionage tools are bound to be discovered sooner or later. Then what?
-
Ggrrrrrrrrrrrr! First, I think we can all admit that it would have been very, very, very difficult to resist the gorgeous, blond god that is JJ. Having said that, however, this was just all kinds of wrong. Simon should have put a stop to it and had a long talk with JJ, explaining that he loved him like a son or a nephew and that it was inappropriate for them to have sex. It’s not just that it was technically statutory rape (it would not have been in more than half the states, the UK, Canada, and many other less uptight countries), but it was the unhealthy dynamic of an overly generous benefactor and a “kept boy“ that is so disturbing. The big clue is that JJ never felt loved by his parents - especially his asshole father, and he has unfortunately channeled that desperate need towards Simon, who is only too happy to indulge himself. Despicably creepy.
-
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good [people] do nothing.“ What is with JJ’s wimpy, spineless, sniveling mother? Somebody needs to tell that “woman“ that Texas is a community property state and that she doesn’t have to obey her evil preacher husband. Thank God for Simon! If not for him, I guess she was prepared to let her only son live on the streets. Puta! Simon did save JJ, but his largesse is starting to make me highly uncomfortable as it seems disproportionate. The power imbalance between Simon and JJ is enormous, and an unhealthy relationship dynamic has developed. JJs final text is evidence of that. PS: why is it that old creepy pervs always seem to drive a black Lexus AKA Japanese Buick? It’s never something cool like a Benz or a Beemer. I guess those are left to younger villains. 😏

But at least you got Charlie and David back together. That made up for a lot of sins! 😏 -

No, I didn’t really think you were going to kill off sweet, poor Nate. What surprised and delighted me, though, was the very clever way you handled the plot development of his treatment journey and successful outcome by reintroducing the family on GMA and featuring Nate’s vlog. That was also a great way to advance the timeline. I also have a feeling that the real drama is yet to come. In fact, I’m kind of counting on it. Perverse, maybe, but it’s what keeps stories exciting and titillating. Don’t worry: I’ll defend you against all critics. I’ll even do it pro bono. 😉 -
That was really painful to read… something about art imitating life. Twice. I just hope that Nate’s outcome is better. You handled a difficult chapter really well, and artfully introduced the core diagnosis in a very credible, effective way. It also presents some interesting plot opportunities; I’ve seen families nearly come apart, and people do things they wouldn’t normally do in reaction to this kind of painful trauma.

Such a great chapter! It almost feels like a voyeuristic privilege to see their relationship develop and grow. Talk about sizzling chemistry! Dayamn. As simmering hot as the sex is between them, the depth of their emotional and psychic connection makes it even more satisfying. I’m so glad they’re both actually versatile, though. To me, there are few more profound disappointments than an outrageously hung exclusive bottom. ☺️ it’s hard to believe that this is your first story; it’s so good!

Your friend had a brilliant idea, though Brian Boitano’s repeated Olympics performances forever ruined Bolero for me. One of the greatest porn seduction scenes I can ever recall (I don’t remember the name of the film) was set to Chopin’s Scherzo #3 in C-sharp minor. It made it that much sexier.

“Who’s Dolly Levi?” Those are words that can get a gay card revoked! 😏 I agree about Simon: he’s a mixture of supportive and awful; unfortunately the creepy perv part tarnishes the rest for me. Though he’s done wonderful things for Johnny, his blatant sexual interest in him - given his power position - provides a classic setting for sexual-harassment. To his credit, however, he did back off - if one doesn’t count the tawdry spy cams. One of the many things I love about your stories, and this chapter in particular, is the fond theatre memories they trigger. I love all the shows you mention, but Angels in America had a life-changing impact on me. Years after seeing it at A.C.T. in San Francisco, I was able to have a memorable one-on-one conversation with Tony Kushner in which I explained how his marathon play forced me out of the closet. When I explained why, he found it both poignant and humorous...and a bit eerie. What an amazingly warm, humble, sweet guy he turned out to be. I also enjoy how you weave pure fantasy into your stories. I mean...house movers that show up on time?! In what parallel universe does THAT happen? 😉

Given the breath and depth of your knowledge, I think you should become our new porn guru! I don’t recall ever seeing any college courses titled “history of gay porn“, but it sounds like you could teach the class. 😏

Matty’s Big Week/Nate’s Tough Week
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Matty’s Big Week/Nate’s Tough Week
Oh no... can you even imagine?! I know of some successful gay male thruples, but the guys are adults and have their eyes open. Not only would it be a bad move for young Simon and Nate, but “shifty Simon” couldn’t get it up for Charlie, anyway. That Simon would try to have full-on sex with Charlie within a day of becoming her boyfriend is very telling about shifty Simon’s motivations. -
Matty’s Big Week/Nate’s Tough Week
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Matty’s Big Week/Nate’s Tough Week
It seems it’s either fickle, unreliable, user Simon.....or perv theater Simon. Did you hate someone named Simon? 😏 Poor Nate. I feel terrible for him, but I think he handled that just right. Thank God for Eddie. I hope Nate and Simon can rebuild their friendship, but I don’t know that I would trust Simon on an intimate level ever again. I realize they’re young and Simon is still finding himself, but that was pretty harsh. The major drama to which you allude sounds life-shattering. I love all these characters, and I’m afraid to even guess. <bracing myself> -
One of my very favorite 80s porn stars. Such a cutie. I think I still have a bunch of his stuff. By that, I mean his videos/DVDs! But Hunter Parrish sings like an angel. 😈
-
And he can cook, too?! Geoff, you really have created dream boy. I love their simmering connection and the ease with which they are “integrating themselves“ into each others lives, not to mention the porn-worthy hot sex. Cameras in the bathroom? Somebody’s got a put a stop to that perv. The other character that intrigues me is angelic blonde boy JJ. In my mind, I can see him as a young Hunter Parrish type. . <sigh> I hope he figures prominently in the story, as I sense from his reaching out (literally) to Jason that his “relationship” with Simon involves just “getting off”. He seems like a sweetheart who deserves better.

You’re a naughty boy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😏 I have to admit, this is one of the odder but more entertaining conversations I’ve had relative to story reviews. I suppose I use LGBTQ as an umbrella term in a general sense, because I don’t watch L., B, or T porn. Straight porn is out of the question, unless I’m trying to actively court nausea. I don’t think Q is a porn genre, per se, though it was an Avenue that some say stole the Tony from Wicked... which leaves us with G! This really sounds like adult Sesame Street.
-
Hey, I was teasing you with tongue firmly planted in cheek. I’ve long been a supporter of the LGBTQ porn industry! Now... whoever said tech was respectable?! 😏
-
Well! I resemble resent that. To quote the late, great Tallulah Bankhead, “I’m as pure as the driven slush!”
