Yay!!! What a welcome surprise.

I read the original story and enjoyed it, but in this revision you have added much more emotional depth and more fully fleshed out the characters. While I do hope you get to the sex – especially between Greg and Scott – as I think it would be especially meaningful, I applaud you for focusing more on character and plot development. Too many authors almost cut and paste repetitive sex scenes into their stories that detract from their writing efforts. (No one who knows me would believe I’m saying this 😁.) This tragic, heartbreaking chapter was especially well crafted and captured Greg’s meltdown in a very convincing way. Having lost my own father not long ago, it was an especially tough read - in no small part because I never got to experience the kind of closeness and bond that existed between Charlie and Greg. I can’t wait for the next book!

Ah, now everything is making more sense. Awesome that Tom and Kit (and Mischa) were able to form a close, supportive friendship, which will prove essential if Mitchel and Tom become serious - and they’d better! 😏
-
I love that Tom is already taking care of Mitch before he really starts to “take care of Mitch“. 😉 As a foodie, oenophile, and amateur chef, I am with Tom’s nutritional intervention - if not his wine choices. 🥴
-
The witty, clever banter is a great mask for the simmering sexual tension between these two. I’m really enjoying this unexpected plot line.
-
Intriguing! I’m dying to know where it went wrong with Kit and Tom, but I’m sure you’ll get there. I wonder when Tom developed his preference for older men, and if that played a role in the end of his relationship with Kit. And Mischa? You’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do. Taylan’s passing is a tragic disappointment, but it does open the door for Mitchell…and Tom (?).

This is very exciting news. I remember these stories fondly, and was so disappointed when they abruptly halted. So glad to see you back and inspired once again.

A beautiful, sweet love story with a perfect ending. I especially loved the kind, generous multi-generational friendship between Mr. Wilbur and the two boys, and his loving, guiding influence on them. This was a treat.

A very sensitive story that provoked a lot of thought and reflection. Beautifully done.

Wow. False imprisonment, child endangerment (what if there were a fire?!)…I have a nasty feeling that the charges - both legal and moral - against the sinister Simpson and Matt’s co-conspirator parents are just going to keep mounting in this increasingly dark tale. My loathing of fundamentalist religion didn’t need more encouragement, but I think this story is going to provide it in spades.

My stomach is in knots. If there actually are gates of hell, people like Pastor Simpson will act as greeters.

EPILOGUE: A Life Unexpected
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in EPILOGUE: A Life Unexpected
This chapter - and the end of the Barnstable series - was really emotional for me. I’m a bit surprised at my reaction but, then again, I shouldn’t be. Clearly, your writing and storytelling gifts have created beloved, impactful characters whom I’ll sorely miss. My favorite relationships definitely revolve around Noah, David, and Charlie - for a number of reasons, some of which are less than pure. I mean, a sexy pianist with long hair is almost too much to bear. 😈 For me, the most impactful was between Charlie and Noah as Charlie saved his life and helped him blossom. The bond between David and Noah is at a similar level and, I agree, it’s a rare, beautiful thing. Now, I can hardly wait for Nate! -
So, Matt gets in deep trouble with his “God-fearing“ parents for doing the “Christian thing“ and stepping in to protect Charles from physical and verbal assault. Irony much? His worthless carbon-based parental units need to read their own damn Bible. I’m starting to really fear for Matt.
-
Beautiful, tender story. I loved it! What a treat to visit the camp again.
-
Yikes! Some people should simply never, ever, ever have children. At the mercy of a miserable maternal unit and satanic sperm donor, abusively poisonous parenting, and toxic religion, Matt is at serious risk. The poor kid needs to be rescued. Very engaging story, even if it is a bit triggering.

I am SO very glad to see you back and well! Your absence had me worried, and I’m happy to hear you’re OK now. It’s especially exciting that you’re back performing live. There’s nothing better. Um… I take that back, there are things that are better and this chapter contains some of those. 😈 Hot chapter, and funny too. I’m really looking forward to the Nate book.

I’m always happy to see a new story of yours. Welcome back! Really looking forward to this one.

Well, I know one author who remembers Last Tango in Paris. 😉 Yay!! NYC. 🤗 Hmmm...I wonder if Vic will give Antonio’s number to Hunter and Perry. 😈 Remarkable, unexpected chapter. Those pictures perfectly illustrated the transformation you described. The old man is going to shit his pants. And...lucky for Maggie, Texas is a community property state. This sea change and reconciliation is so much healthier for both Hunter and his mother. As unlikely as it was, I’m glad it could happen.

Chapter 144 Looking After My Interests
tesao commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 144 Looking After My Interests
This has been such an amazing story, and I’m so happy to read a new chapter. It warms me to see Nathan and Robbie building something more profound and real. In spite of all of their immaturity and poor choices, they seem to fit together. I would love to read a sequel, perhaps one featuring their wedding. 😉 PS... Though I suspect it was someone creepy connected to Mr. Symmonds taking pictures from the car, the thought occurred to me that the break-up left Connor pretty embittered and resentful. -
The Final Piece of the Puzzle
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in The Final Piece of the Puzzle
My first reaction was… damn, that Jaime is getting pushy. 😉 As I read further, the old Russian proverb came to mind, “trust, but verify”. Her journey from the dark side didn’t seem to take long enough for her to have actually reached the right destination. I really do hope it works out for her and Hunter as she has caused him so much pain, but if I were him, I would keep my friends close and my mother even closer. For now. Fortunately, the realities of NYC real estate will make a long-term residency for her all but impossible. Since Jaime seems to be able to get around so easily, maybe he can appear to Hunter’s dad and scare him to death. -
Wow! Creating a chapter worthy of Perry’s and Hunter’s first time, falling in love, and making making a lifelong commitment to each other was a pretty demanding task. You exceeded expectations by delivering an episode that was sweetly romantic, sexy, sizzling hot with the addition of Ian, and ultimately deeply moving. That was an amazing roller coaster ride - especially when it came to a sudden stop with the shrew’s call. I wonder if her darling husband kicked.

The Cowboy Finds His Poolboy
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in The Cowboy Finds His Poolboy
I loved this chapter! One could feel Hunter’s emotions shift from despondent to hopeful to beginning to fall in love. I may have mentioned it before, but I have a Perry/Hayden fantasy, too. What is it about your adorable characters? -
A Cape Cod Yankee (Part 2)
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in A Cape Cod Yankee (Part 2)
Even though I knew it was coming, I still delayed reading this painful chapter. As it was, I could barely focus on the last couple of paragraphs. Beautifully written, your words captured the poignancy of the final good-bye as well as the depth of Hunter’s emotional desperation. It’s ironic that those who give the most love and compassion, Hunter and the Vegas, have suffered so profoundly. Life isn’t always fair. Now, more than ever, I’m looking forward to Hunter finding happiness.
