Who? (he asks innocently, batting his eyes)

Geez, what a disgusting perv Simon is! This is a great story. As for Johnny Rocket (more like missile), I hope he’s as wonderful as he seems to be because he and Jason appear to have an amazing connection. I have to laugh about Texans considering Austin the weirdest city in Texas; it’s the ONLY city in Texas I can manage (except for the oppressive heat).
-
I bought it on Kindle just now (my Prime Kindle unlimited allotment is already full) because my middle name is “patience“. This is a fun, Sunday treat! Johnny sounds like a walking wet dream. Very hot beginning to a story that seems vaguely familiar, but I don’t care. I’m going to use the same excuse as Mr. Seismic Seco.

Donald Harper Transformed
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Donald Harper Transformed
OMG! Meu Deus! ¡Dios mío! I was hoping for something like this between Donald and Connor. (For some reason, I just thought of Singing in the Rain. 😏) Back to the story… What a great chapter. I loved seeing the developing love connection between Connor and Donald, not to mention Donald’s renaissance. I’d like to see them go the distance, I think. I sort of got the gist of the game; I just hope Devyn‘s injuries aren’t serious or permanent. Shelter is one of my favorite gay films! That was the perfect choice for the boys’ first date. This was an excellent chapter that set a great happy tone before the storms develop. I’m kind of hoping, though, that Connor and Donald have an easy time of it given Donald’s hard life thus far. I also hope we get to see Eric and his boyfriend reappear at some point; they were a fun couple. -
Such a sweet chapter! Loved it. So, our suspicions about Donald were spot on. He and Connor seem good for each other, but...CONNER4FUN? Sounds like sweet Connor has been busy. 😈 Oh boy, another football game. 😉 Well, as long as there is drama, I think we’ll be entertained. Steamy sex next episode, huh? Bring on the sex and drama.

Such a great chapter for so many reasons. I love it when younger siblings grow up to become confidants and allies - even more so when they dispense great, much-needed advice to a stubborn, overly-emotional older brother. By the way, I’m glad that Matty advised Eddie to ease up on Nate’s forced celibacy. In their conversation, Nate was more clearheaded than Eddie. So, the outline is gone, huh? Very cool; some of your best plots just happened organically. Connor and Donald? How sweet. Clearly, Eddie and I don’t share the same taste in men because Connor sounds adorable. I always wondered whether Donald was gay, given the extreme nature of his homophobia. I suspect he learned ASL in the desert, and what serendipitous preparation for a relationship with a hearing-impaired hottie! I look forward to each chapter of this story. You have a gift for creating characters that we care about.

Green may not be Eddie’s best color, but I can understand how he could slip into it after wearing blue for so long. After all, they’re not only next to each other on the color wheel, they also represent adjacent emotions. (OK, I’ve beat that analogy to death.) I think the separation may be harder on Eddie because he stayed behind in an area (even the same house) he shared with Matty, whereas Matty is off having adventures in a brand new location and meeting new people. Speaking of new people, what a freaky situation with Alex! They did hit it off amazingly well, and didn’t Matty used to date girls? I know... that would be way too obvious a complication. If there is to be trouble, and I’m confident there is, I hope it comes from another direction. An Eddie doppelgänger able to make a baby for Matty and Eddie (If their relationship survived it) would just be too awful a betrayal for words. I had to laugh at the scene with Eddie and Donald fighting over show tunes in the car; the SiriusXM Broadway channel is also one of my guilty pleasures while driving. Another Barnstable book? YAAAYYYYYYY!!!

Chapter 131 Christmas with Conner
tesao commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 131 Christmas with Conner
Although Connor may be a bit much for Robbie long-term, I find him to be such a sweet, refreshing change from Robbie’s prior experiences. It’s a bonus that they can get together far away from Robbie’s toxic family and within the welcoming environment of Connor’s household. I hope Robbie is able to relax and just enjoy this seemingly genuine, kind and sexy guy - without hurting him. -
Loved the chapter; it was a great Christmas gift to your readers. It’s also beginning to feel like the happy calm before trouble begins to develop. I’m trying so hard not to predict where and with whom the first problem will occur. There are several possibilities-some worse to contemplate than others. Nate continues to warm my heart and surprise me, but sometimes I wish Eddie would ease up on him and Simon. The no sex rule is going to become increasingly difficult to honor, and it seems like an unnecessary developing source of stress (or maybe I’m just projecting). 😏 I wonder if they make it to age 14. 😈 I mean… blow jobs wouldn’t hurt them. I worry about the burden of guilt that Eddie is potentially placing on their shoulders when they almost inevitably “slip up” one day. Wishing you the happiest of holidays, Geoff!
-
You may be right. However, I sense that the worst trouble - and it will be catastrophic - won’t come from Donald. It’s fun to speculate, though...trying to piece together the clues that Geoff has dropped here and there. Then again, we could all end up blindsided. He is a sly one, after all. 😏

Excellent chapter! Matty and Eddie have such capacities for good with their big hearts and empathetic, intuitive natures. I hope those attributes will be available to both of them as their relationship hits the rocks because of the separation and who knows what else. I can see some interesting, potentially scary foreshadowing in this chapter, but I hope I’m wrong; I’ll keep my mouth shut. (yes, OK… A rare occurrence). 😏 Donald continues to be such a revelation. Who knew that the boy who nearly killed Eddie would end up being a source of comfort and strength? I wonder what else is hidden beneath Donald’s surface.

Eddie and Matty have the best method for overcoming jet lag! 😏 This chapter was lovely and uplifting without being smarmy or saccharine, and really made me think. I’d never considered the self-bullying idea, but it rings so true. Great insight. Eddie seems tailor-made for the role of youth minister. Those kids are lucky. Nate has revealed himself to be a real sweetheart. I love the bond that is strengthening between the brothers, and I have the feeling that their close relationship will become a critical support during tough times. I’m totally invested in this story and am really looking forward to seeing how Eddie and Matty navigate their upcoming challenges. I love how you’re keeping it real.

Relationship rules are, of course, personal, and a couple - even a fictional pair - has the right to make their own. However, it’s inaccurate to equate a consensual, mutually-enthusiastic sexual encounter involving both members of a couple with cheating. By definition, that cannot be. And then we get to the issue of slut shaming. I suppose it’s human nature to feel threatened when an idealized couples‘ relationship veers off a comfortable path because we project our own wishes and aspirations - and insecurities - onto their actions. However, it strikes me as unfortunate and unfair to blame an author for plot turns and twists that are quite realistic and plausible in real life. Mattie and Eddie are just 19 years old and have yet to start college. Clearly, they are not only at their sexual peak, but they have curiosities and appetites consistent with their ages and life status. One could successfully argue that it would be a mistake for them to proceed in their relationship without ever experiencing fun with a third or fourth person, whether together or separately. I’ve known too many couples who are together several years who then encounter difficulties because they “never got it out of their systems“ and have only been with each other. Sometimes they act out, and in other cases one wants to open the relationship while the other is left shocked and devastated. For other people, that life-long exclusivity has worked although, according to statistics I have read, those couplings are rare, indeed. So, to claim that three is ALWAYS a crowd is neither accurate nor, probably, realistic. On a personal level, my husband and I don’t do thirds, but I can’t sit in judgment of those who do because I don’t live their lives. He and I also met AFTER I went through what can only be described as an active “free phase” during which I did get it out of my system. Mattie and Eddie haven’t had that opportunity. As a thoughtful author, Geoff has chosen to portray their mostly idealized relationship with a few doses of reality to make it more believable and, I would argue, palatable. Saccharine, after all, is not only harmful but dangerous in large doses. 😉 These issues are, of course, personal to all of us, and we all have our own opinions and beliefs, but it would be a shame to discount this terrific story simply because the characters don’t always behave in a way that makes us feel safe or settled. In fact, if they did, it would be a dull story. Just my two cents - or, since I went on so long, closer to $3.95.

That’s ok, Sr. Seismic Seco. I wear that crown proudly - probably because (according to my husband) it fits. <ouch> -Self-confessed theater geek-

OMG, Georr! 😏 Loved it, loved it, loved it. If you knew me, you would know I have high expectations of artistic expression and don’t hand out compliments lightly, but this was terrific. You had me laughing in the second paragraph: I also detest Cats. I enjoy Betty Buckley or, especially, Elaine Paige singing Memories, and that’s IT. Broadway actors are some of the hottest guys I have ever personally met in my life, so I can’t blame Matty and Eddie for their sexcapade in London. Those scenes were incredibly hot and well-written; however, something tells me that instead of getting it out of their systems, it may have opened Pandora’s jar for during their separation - especially given their ages, libidos, and the inevitable temptations. I think this is going to get a bit messy, which will make for a great story. 😈 I suspect that the flirtation with Nigel was a bit of foreshadowing. I know I’ve said this before, but I can hardly wait for the next chapter!

Finishing High School is Mostly Woke
tesao commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Finishing High School is Mostly Woke
I loved the chapter! Not only was it a fitting conclusion to this book, it laid the groundwork for the next story and I can hardly wait. I have to confess I would have been disappointed if you’d found a way for them to both attend the same college and live together, as it would’ve made for a boring story without the drama of which I am so admittedly fond. Now, the possibilities for tension, relationship challenges, renegotiated boundaries, accommodations for distance, unintended and unplanned connections, surprising quid pro quos, independent growth and all that can bring, are almost limitless. Yay! I have a feeling that that two-hour drive is going to feel longer and more burdensome over time. That Donald Harper is attending the same school as Eddie also presents fascinating plot opportunities. This is going to be such fun - especially since I know that, in the end, we’ll get our HEA... which will be even sweeter coming on the heels of their relationship facing the inevitable pitfalls of living apart for four years during school. 😈 -
Fairytale book? Fairytales?! All this time I thought it was a book of Bronze Age mythology. Damn. (Don’t worry, it’s in the book.). 😏
-
I had a wonderful gay pastor who helped me recover from an abusive, oppressive birth religion. Betcha can’t gue$$ which one! 😉 It turned out to be a transitional exercise, as I’ve now disassociated from all organized religion - so I understand your point. As for the life insurance policy, he lived beyond the two-year suicide exclusion so it still pays out.
-
I think it would severely test them - especially if their visits grew less frequent because of distance and school demands. So many long distance relationships don’t survive the disconnection and the unmet needs in the face of more convenient outlets. However, it’s probably one of those “whatever doesn’t kill it makes it stronger“ scenarios.
-
As long as (a) neither decides to date girls and (b) the seminarian doesn’t take a vow of celibacy, I’m down.
-
Totally not surprised that Eddie is going to be a minister. His parishioners will be unbelievably fortunate. However, the possibility of Eddie and Matty going to separate schools - especially if they can’t live together, does surprise me. I can’t quite picture that and, even though their relationship is very solid, they would be opening themselves up to a risk of failure - not to mention inevitable “distractions”. Something tells me that Geoff will tidy this up in the last chapter, unless he really wants to inject some drama. I mean, more drama. 😏 I’m thrilled that there will be a second book! I love this story, and I’m just not ready for it to end. Now that I think about it, an entire second book indicates the high possibility of more drama. 😉 This is going to be fun - especially as I’m confident in an ultimately HEA.

A teenage friend of mine lost his mother to suicide when we were around Matty’s age. I have never seen such a broken kid before or since. The look of complete anguish on his face at her funeral haunts me to this day. When I read the story last night, my immediate reaction was probably not printable so I decided to wait overnight. What a despicably chickenshit thing for Matty’s father to do! I get that he was broken up over his wife’s death and hadn’t handled it well, but give me an effing break. The impact of what he did to his son is going to leave scars that he will be discovering for the rest of his life. It’s nice that he left Maddie financially comfortable, and I’m happy that he will have financial planning and direction. The money might seem like a lot, but it doesn’t even qualify him as a high net worth individual, and he could easily blow through it if he weren’t careful. Other than that, Matty is incredibly lucky to have Eddie and his family in his life. I hate to think what might’ve happened if he didn’t have the kind of emotional support that he enjoys. Oh, almost forgot: so...Nate and Simon?! I find it rather sweet, and it was loving advice that Eddie gave his little brother. However, the kids are 12 and have already experienced a blow job. They’re also going to have more overnights. Like they’re going to be able to keep their hands off each other for two or three years! 😁 Powerful chapter, Geoff!

In most US life insurance contracts, there is a two-year suicide exclusionary period. Given the large size of the policy ($5 million), it may have been a whole life policy with cash and investment value that he had purchased some time ago.

Chapter 128 You're All Crazy!
tesao commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 128 You're All Crazy!
<Groan> Ewwwwwww.... I didn’t see that coming. (I’ll wait.) Seriously, Viagra or not, Robbie needs to start making better decisions in his life. Hell, he’s cheated on Connor before they even have a chance to start (without even considering him jacking to Nathan‘s video). Part of me thinks he’s not capable of sustaining a relationship right now, yet another believes that he would be if he were with the right partner; I’m just not sure who that would be. He needs the sexual chemistry he had with Nathan, coupled with the calmness of Connor, and the loyalty and stability of Tom. Good luck with that! If there is any hope to have something with Connor, he’s going to need to be honest at the outset and let the chips fall - even though that would be atypical for Robbie. I just hope that Stephanie is on the pill and that she remembered to take it! By the way, very enticing description of Stephanie’s anatomy. if I weren’t already a Kinsey 6, I certainly would be after reading that. 😏
