  1. I liked all of these. Nice to see you are using your days to such great advantage. April 4th seems a little lonely, or introspective, or both. But by April 7th, the sky would seem the limit. Fascinating week!

    Chapter 10

Thanks for the nice comment. I'd have made the story longer, but it seemed done, at least for now.

    Chapter 10

Thanks, Ivor. You say the nicest things!
  4. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Thanks, Gary. I just read your newest chapter, and I am having some nice boxes ticked myself!

    Chapter 10

The real world is a tough place, and I also enjoy stepping away from it now and then. Haven't decided on an actual sequel to this one, but I will try to offer more like it. Thanks for nice pat on the back, buddy!

    Chapter 10

Granddad was in a particularly even position to understand both David and Mark. He seemed to understand that a connection was building between them right from the start, and it maybe reminded him of some of his own history. It's a lot easier to be compassionate when you really know what someone is going through. I didn't mean to tug on you. That's considered rude unless asked! Thanks for the very nice comment, CG.
  7. Well, this is surely progress. Looks like we are on the return leg of this particular orbit. Chase is talking to Hank, Hank is talking to Chase, Trey and Carlos are talking to Chase, and Brent and Dawson are talking to each other (among other sweet things they're doing). Even Stacy is having her say. Only Perry has no one to talk to, and he doesn't deserve anyone! Hank seems to have revised some important opinions about Chase, and reviewed some of his own conduct. Chase seems to have arrived at the courage and will to speak his mind to Hank calmly. Heck, even the darn dog is delighted! I won't say that we are totally on the road to recovery here, but I see some possible hope ahead for Chase and Hank to fall in love all over again. Oh, come on! Admit it!

    Chapter 10

Happy to have you along for the trip. Stay safe, and stay well!

    Chapter 10

Thank you for that comment. It means a lot. These people may be back. I rather like them, too.

    Chapter 10

Well...that's pretty definite. Let me see what i can do.

    Chapter 10

    Wishes sometimes come true.

    Chapter 9

I guess it's safe to say that desperation makes everyone more resourceful. Mark did the only thing he could think of. He went home.
  13. Geron Kees

    Chapter 9

Thanks for the nice comments! That's the way I saw it, that Mark would come back to the last place he was really happy. And then, for David to make it a happy place for him again...that was the ending I wanted.

    Chapter 10

Yep. I was not sure I wanted to end this story here. But I think a lot of things are best left to the imaginations of readers. Maybe!
  15. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Sorry. Want a sequel? I could probably be convinced.
  16. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Happiness is always best when shared with other people. When you just do it by yourself, it's nothing but a good feeling.
  17. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Yep. I wish that could be the way everything in life worked out, for everyone. But I'll just have to settle for writing them that way, for now.
  18. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

I am not built to write tragic endings. Happy ones are easier, anyway!
  19. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Sharing is the best part of writing. Without people willing to read, it would just be whacking away at a keyboard! Thanks for reading!
  20. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

    Me, too!
  21. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

I just call 'em like I see 'em. Thanks for the kind words!
  22. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Well, this was the end. I couldn't mark it as complete (I thought) until after the last chapter has posted. But a sequel might be nice.
  23. Geron Kees

    Chapter 10

Well, I have to write something 'normal' every now and then to keep my hand in the game!
  24. Geron Kees

    Chapter 9

Some people are born reasonable. Maturity is the ability to use that quality wisely. In David's case, he was just learning, but he had some good teachers, and that counts for a lot!
  25. Geron Kees

    Chapter 9

That's a very kind statement about a fairly short story. Thanks.
