That's funny. Some of your made up sentences actually translate in Marathi! I usually only read one tale by any author at a time, to avoid confusion. Confusing me, not you! I'm sure I'll enjoy the others, too!

Ouch. Well, prejudice pops up everywhere, even in the home at times. At least mom decided she wasn't putting up with it. What language are you using for the elf language? There are hints of Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi in it, according to Google translate. If it's a made up one, it just shows that you can make up any word and it will match a language someplace!

The third story has actually been started, and has perhaps 10,000 words written. I have stepped away from it several times to complete stories that have a holiday or other deadline, and just haven't gotten back to it. But it will show up one day. Thanks for being patient!

Friggy was amazing. I kept my eyes on him as he moved smoothly among the crowd, wending his way among its members with a care that suggested absolute deference. He was walking against the flow of mostly grandly-clad gentlemen that were leaving the station at the end of the business day, after having just arrived on the train from Meridian and points south. He was darting to and fro to avoid directly running into anyone, smiling, and tipping his cap apologetically that he was going the wrong

Friggy and Jewl were street kids in a world that had been changed by momentous events. They survived by simply taking what they could get, working if work presented itself, and choosing other means if needed. If that sometimes meant a little basic thievery, well, that was a part of the world they lived in. It was a big city, and small crimes were tough to solve. Until one day when they picked up something unexpected, something unique. And in so doing, set off a pursuit that would ultimately redefine their very existence. A long short story, presented complete.

There is history, and there is family history. My mother's family is Dutch. Nederlands was occupied during the war, and has its own stories to tell. There are far more tales of those times that have never been told outside of families, then there are in all the books of history. A general knowledge of the plights of all the peoples of that region of Europe was more commonly available when I was a boy growing up there. It's a shame that so much of it has now been lost. I was especially interested in the few stories my own grandfather told me. This story was for him, and for those like him.

This obviously has been a tough time for you. You've documented it very well, and quite eloquently. That in itself says you are in charge of it, rather than the other way around. Just remember that every cloud has a silver lining, but that sometimes you have to rip a big, stinking hole in the side of it to find the damn thing! Nice to see that your claws are still working.

These two stories are atypical of what I write. They are both based on my own teens years, and were a trip back for me. It may please you to know that I hardly mention cars at all in any of my other tales! Thanks for the patience!
