As long as you can't see her, too, you're okay!
-
I hope you mean the city, and not the entire state. I would not miss the city so much, myself. But I'm not ready to have the whole state go. I'd have to buy flight insurance, and I just know they'd lose my luggage!

Doctor Who can have those colors. At least the guys had the sense to change before going out in public!
-
That's...terrible! I am just barely old enough and movie-wise enough to get that, too!
-
Well, hi again! Uncle Bob has a role coming up in the Halloween tale. That's all I'll say at the moment. I can't even imagine having Frit or Pip as an agent!

"You do understand that Security will follow us about as we take our tour?" the big Trichani asked, as their car floated above the parked starships on its way to the city. "They are most curious about you, and probably alarmed at your ability to detect their watchers." "And their inability to detect ours?" Kippy tossed in, smiling winningly. Charlie tried not to laugh, impressed that everyone not only seemed to be picking up well on all the plot changes as the day moved on, but that th

The Trichani were an old people, even older than the Moth. But their history was less ordered than that of the dark ones, more tumultuous, and the Trichani had come later to space as a result. Moth technology still held an edge in quality, though the Trichani had made things just about even with quantity. Whereas the Moth were not a prolific people, the Trichani were, and their population was a hundred times that of their chief competitor. The two empires were similar in size, though the Moth we

I don't explain why XXXXXX sits on the throne. Ask George R.R.! Or ask my agent. He can probably wave a finger, and tell you!
-
George R. R. is writing this one? Why wasn't I told about this? I'll get my agent involved, I swear! And my agent...is an elf!

Thank you. I always have fun writing these, so I like to see another one, too! Chapter two should appear about 8:30 this evening; chapter three about 4:30 am tomorrow; and the conclusion about 12:30 tomorrow afternoon. I could only make four parts because i wanted it all posted by the holiday. GA only lets us post two chapters per day, and they have to be 8 hours apart. That's to keep any one author from dominating the new story list with a dozen chapters of something new. A VERY reasonable precaution on the part of the admin here, but occasionally something that needs to be worked around. Aw, geez! You're kidding, right? Would I harm Max or the guys??? I ask you!

You, sir, are paranoid! I LIKE it!

It's funny that I can like the idea of a Murcha, but that I am creeped out by Alexa. Having a voice (and more importantly, an EAR) attached to the Internet in my home rattles every security bone in my body. I guess until such aids can become self-contained and mostly local, I'll pass. OR, I could just trust Amazon! Yeah! Doorways? Um...is that a hint? It's a scary universe right here, too!
-
Yep. Thanks for spotting the typos. We proof this stuff multiple times, but we're only human. Maybe I can hire Murcha to proof the next one...?
-
I wasn't aware that you had read any of this series. I'm sure that Kippy, especially, would be particularly pleased!
-
"Just a matter of minutes now," Murcha said, as the watermelon ship approached Engris, the ancient world hidden within the vastness of the mysterious Cooee. Charlie Boone leaned back against his pylon seat within the Moth-built starship and watched the central viewing globe intently. He was feeling just a hint of nerves, which was keeping him from being completely relaxed. I should be overjoyed to be back out here, he thought, frowning. Instead of worried over what it's all about. At the

Charlie, Kippy, Rick and Adrian are off on another adventure out among the stars, this time to help a couple of friends in trouble. They travel farther than ever before, meet some of the strangest - and nicest - people ever, and face off against an ancient threat from the dark past. Typical Fourth of July, right?

I have faith in Danny! We all have cases of mistaken lyrics. There are songs I have liked where less than one in five of the lyrics are even understandable, and I just liked the music and the sound of the vocals. Before you could Google stuff, you just assumed that your ears were halfway right. It's nice to know what a song is about, and for most, the lyrics are plain enough. But it doesn't in any way reduce a song's appeal for me that I don't get all the lyrics. I do Google stuff these days, but it's just a whim and not that important to me. What matters is what my ears tell me about the sounds I am hearing. i either like them, or not, and the words can be purely secondary to the sounds.

Snow will do that to you! And following the things you believe in, sometimes, too! Both are worth the experience.

Can't get a better review than that! Thank you!

Chapter 68 Variations on a Theme
Geron Kees commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 68 Variations on a Theme
Nice look inside Gary's head. Introspection is not what I would expect from a Viking, but what do I know? I only know one, and Hagar the Horrible is scarcely a good model for the line! Very elegant portrayal of some complex and difficult ideas. Bravo. -
Great chapter. Still wondering about Danny, though he seems to like Allison. Love the conversations! Got a hoot out of Dylan, The Who, and The Lovin' Spoonful. When I was nine years old, I loved Hot Town, Summer in the City. Still do!

I grew up with parents that were into sixties and seventies music, and some of it rubbed off. You are not the only one that struggled to decipher the lyrics of Blinded By the Light! One of the most indecipherable lines in modern rock, unquestionably. It always reminded me of the grade school game where kids lined up and whispered a phrase into the next kid's ear, and by the time it reached the end of the line it bore no relationship whatsoever to the original phrase. For that song, you could ask 100 people what that line was, and get 100 different answers! So feel no shame, brother! You are just one soldier in a very large army there!
-
Scary for any parent. Good job of giving me the willies!
-
Thanks for explaining. I'll be sure to ask if i am not sure about anything else!

I guess it all depends on which side of interesting you are standing on. The Chinese always have been pessimists. I happen to believe that interesting is a positive thing. Instead of trying to be clever, the Chinese should have simply said, 'may you live in really crappy times', and dispensed with the ability of others to interpret.
