Mission: Impossible, was fun, but it really was ridiculous in some cases. Especially the ease with which one of the cast put on a rubber mask and looked just like the bad guy, or whoever. As a kid, I used to say, "Yeah, right. That's gonna happen, sure!" My dad liked the show, but I guess he had sixties sensibilities, where viewers didn't seem to get that some things were just ridiculous.
MacGuyver had his own slightly hard-to-believe moments. I mean, most of his gizmos were fairly plausible, or even 'wow!' moments of ingenuity; but there was also the impression that the man could fashion a nuclear attack sub out of a diaper, three tin cans, and an old box of pretzels. The show was fun, but sometimes you had to say, "I don't think so!"
