Look at the crowd here! Ohmigosh, Ivor! I could make a bundle selling iced tea and hamburgers! 😂

A nice little bit of up and down. Good to see Adam and Troy healing so well together. The tension added over the possibility that Adam's dad may be acquitted is good for a slightly accelerated heartbeat and a desire to go out and purchase a shotgun. We all know how stupid government agencies and the courts can be in the things they decide are best for the rest of us. Adam is part of a loving family now, and it would be tragic for that to be broken. So. I'll just cross my fingers at this point, if you don't mind! 😈

Thank you, David Santos! It's great when two people find something fun in the same idea. I have always thought storytelling is proof-positive that we are all much more alike than we are different. Look how many popular authors we have in the world. When a new hot title comes out, a million people might buy copies of the book, and then pass it on to a million friends when they're done. Most everyone that reads the story reacts the same way, laughing at the funny parts, racing through the exciting parts, feeling creeped out at the scary parts. It's a shared experience, where all of us get the same charge out of the same ideas. It's very nice to know that you enjoyed reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it! Thanks! .

I can agree with all of that. Magic, like beauty, is in the eye - and mind - of the beholder. I have always been a believer in magic of all sorts. Of course, that's just a catchall term for the good things in life, most of which stem from the people we share that life with. Our day-to-day existences can often close our eyes to the magic around us. Usually, it just takes the simplest touch from someone we care about to reopen them.

You again! I do so love return engagements! Thank you for the very kind review. 😊

Thank you. Sometimes life freezes at a single point in time, and a person cannot move on by themselves. It takes something - or someone - special to provide that extra push needed to get going again. If we each knew someone magical in nature, life would be a lot easier to get along with!

Very nice, the way you let us think several different things might be going on here, before revealing the ultimate crack. No better use of a reader's imagination, than to let him or her run around in a few circles and have fun with it! Thanks.

You're very kind. I do believe it will get better. It's been the lot of the human race thus far: struggling to ever better things, with the ghosts of the past always lurking close at hand. It doesn't take much to give us a little push back, as current times can illustrate; but we always go forward again, eventually. Let's just stay focused on what's ahead, and hope that others will some day be able to do the same.

Gee, you say nice stuff! Thank you! I have some other stories around here, some place. You just have to look a little.

Healing always works best when someone is there to help. Both of these guys need some healing. As for the baddies: the disappearing scumbag trick seldom works for long. They'll be found. Tend to agree somewhat that assigning a 'different' label to one's sexuality is more divisive than anything else. Sex, when it comes down to it, is designed by nature only for procreation. In that sense, it is simply a biological act. The evolution of complex emotions in humans has linked sex to love and affection. Intimacy thrives between any two people in love. Unfortunately, too many people continue to mistake biology for emotion, when they state that sex is supposed to be 'straight'. Biology is supposed to be straight, if you want to continue the race. But sex as part of love has no biological requirements, and therefore should have no similar limitations. Sex, as an expression of love, is for any two consenting equals, of any gender. The straight people of this world need to get over the fact that everyone is not born with the same emotions and needs that they have. Sexual bigotry is every bit as repulsive as racial bigotry, or ethnic bigotry. And who put that damn soapbox there, anyway?

Oh, I got warm fuzzies everywhere! I used to think that the lint trap was clogged in my dryer, but I've since learned that it's part of my make up. Pleased to have you along for the ride!

Fragment Four: Pillow Talk
Geron Kees commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Fragment Four: Pillow Talk
You mean a gay version of Prisoner of Zenda? Don't think so. There's a gay version of Zorro, as I recall. I am a fan of the '37 version of Zenda, myself. Douglas Fairbanks. Jr., as Rupert of Hentzau, was magnificent. James Mason, who played that part in the '52 remake, was not the rascal that Fairbanks was, by any means. Hard to remake a classic. Hey...you shouldn't be reading this! You should be writing! -
Fragment Six: Breeding
Geron Kees commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Fragment Six: Breeding
You need to sit down and get writing on this, CG! Seriously. Too long between each installment. If I have to wait six months to find out what happens next, I will be sending my buddy, Carmine, over to your place to rearrange some things. Capiche? Okay...I don't really know any Mafia hitmen. Will please do, instead? -
Fragment Five: Refugees
Geron Kees commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Fragment Five: Refugees
Man, this is a dangerous future you've concocted. I think I'll stay here in that past, where it's kinda safe...mostly. Interesting moving about we are doing. These fragments were based on prompts, huh? And incorporated into your story line? You need to do less reading, and more writing, buddy! -

A gay remake of The Prisoner of Zenda? Wouldn't mind having a body that felt twenty again. Bottle some of that stuff and send it to me, will ya! This is fun! -
Fragment Three: Insecurity
Geron Kees commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Fragment Three: Insecurity
Yeah, you read science fiction back in the good old days, when it was still exciting! I liked the idea that the Jäger climbed so far to accomplish its mission. That's machine dedication for you. Little scary, too. Well, on to the next, um, fragment. -
Interesting so far. Science fiction is kinda one of my interests. Build away, CG!

Interesting so far. I'm late to this...how did I miss this in the first place? Where's my left shoe? What day is it, again?

Prologue: Dreams Crashing Down
Geron Kees commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Prologue: Dreams Crashing Down
Haha. Well, that was less than subtle! I'm hopping aboard! Take me wit'cha! -
Yeah, I already knew that! Close the curtains!

Hi, Ivor! Animals are nice people, too. And when people play at the games animals play, are we any different, really? Oink, oink!
-
Yep. Being caught is more fun than catching, I think! Ohhh! You were the guy that read about the pigs! Haha. I knew someone had, just not who! Thanks for the nice words.

Hi Gary! Thank you for the kind comments, as always. Actually, you have not been remiss. This is the first story I've posted here in a little while. I've just been very busy with my business, and life in general. Most of my spare time goes to writing. I can say I have been missing your stories, too. Have to figure out a way to cram a couple more hours into each day!

Thank you once again. Always delighted to hear from you.

Thanks! Love is a chase, don't you think? The reward is both catching, and being caught!
