That’s part of the reason why I can’t stop rewriting it. The devil is in the details with these things and my brain just blows up if the details suck. What I should do is just let it sit for a week or two and see if I still hate it.

It’s just an idea that’s been kicking in my head for 2 decades, since the 6th book published. I’m not even sure when I’ll be done with it because I can’t stop rewriting shit. I’ll probably get halfway done with it let it sit while I work on other crap and won’t post it till 2027 at the rate I’m going now. This isn’t the even the first fanfic I’ve got going I’ve got another one from Mercedes Lackey I’ve been working on off and on since last year. I tell people I write for me first and foremost because creativity is a personal thing, like region and sexuality (at least to me anyway.) If people enjoy it great, if not that’s also great. It’s no skin off my back either way. Otherwise I’d just be “chasing the market” like other people. Ive got no shortage of crap in progress I think I’m up to 12 stories now that have at least 25,000 words completed, 9 of which aren’t even posted here. Eventually I’m going to complete those 12 and have a foot in every genre which will be a win for the readers overall even if I am being stingy and a little selfish by writing for me first lol. I have a wide range of interests so I’m not gonna limit to what’s popular. I’ll even write my own Twilight Saga mixed with 50 shades of Gray to prove that point. It’ll be so horrible it’ll be glorious.

That was a hard one. Now I understand why no one goes out at night, it's not a choice really. It's survival. I just hope Malik isn't blamed for what happened. It'd be very easy to spin this as a "curse" for helping the no tail, and it's not like Nyrra has particularly liked Malik from the get go.

Guess I should come clean with "what the heck am I even doing," so here is a snippit from Chapter 7:

My muse is more like... It's like that morning just after a big snow, it's calm outside it's quiet. It's bright it's sunny. Your all ready to go to work, things couldn't be more perfect. Then you step outside, and a ball of snow shakes itself loose from overhead and drops cleanly on your head as you step away. With one splat, your good morning isn't good anymore. The snow is no longer fun, and now no matter how hard you brush the snow away you're morning and possibly the whole day is absolutely ruined because no matter what you do your going to find a new wet spot on your coat or shirt that absolutely annoys the hell out of you even after hours later. That's my muse.

Yeah I am lol starting chapter 7. There’s two chapters that are a little short so I’m going to end up merging them probably when I start posting it here.

Oh trust me some of us absolutely love the blind panic because we need the push, me especially. ❤️😂

Glad I'm not the only one.

The “what the hell am I even doing,” is my attempt to totally ruin a literary dynasty. So it’s either going to be great or I’ll never recover from it.

I’m on chapter 6 now of the project I’ve labeled “what the hell am I even doing,” and I still don’t like chapters 1 through 3 despite rewriting them twice. Chapters 4 - 6 thankfully don’t fully depend on them for exacting details if I do rewrite them. i think I’m at 22k words and stuff now.

Oh crap secret author already? Time for me to schedule my blind panic as I come up with an idea rewrite it 10 times leave half of it undone till the deadline and only submit it at the last possible second before I try to rewrite it again. I shared that so our lovely community members can experience the show twice this year as I intend to do the same thing for the Anthology at the end of the year. Thanks for the update @Cia! 😂. A couple of squirts from this inhaler and I’ll be good again.

Ugh Ben. (And I mean that with love.) I’m glad Riley actually has some morals because using Ben as an enforcer he could totally just take over the underworld, and leave just enough traces to make it look like Kier did it. Ben has a vulnerability now, and those tend to get exploited by enemies.

Plus if Riley sucks up to Ben’s mum enough maybe he gets in the will. 😂 Of course they may just buy Riley a chip shop because it’s cheaper.

I know a small group of Milwahii raiders that could definitely handle a visit off the Mormons lol I’m going to have to blow the dust off Jonah and Jace when I get done with wizards.

Wow this thing is ugly. And the only thing that might be uglier is the Galapagos which I can’t talk about yet. it also looks vaguely familiar in a spinning tail kind of way. You’ve taken blasphemy to heights even I didn’t see coming lmao.

That was kinda my thought on it too, the short chapter did its job as far as the plot, had some funny moments at the end that went with the funny moments in the middle. But it felt like a whole piece without feeling like it’s too short and making it longer would just ruin it.

Ben was so wrong about Riley in book 1, Christ 😂 Riley did such a good job in the last 2 chapters at practically disarming Ben it was like watching a street urchin disarm a bomb without precision, just randomly reaching in and pulling shit hoping he doesn’t get blown up in the process until something clicked. i wasn’t sure what I was expecting for this sequel but it sure as hell wasn’t this. ❤️

Oh too much to process in this chapter. Plus I’m behind in reading it I’ll try to be more eloquent in the next comment. 😂

Almost at 20 thousand. Chapter 5 was really short, I’ll probably end up posting that one mid week and 6 in the regular slot.

I ended up rewriting damn near every word after I let someone read it. I still don't know how I feel about it. Maybe I should put out a call for people who want to beta read the latest creation of my crazy muse. I'm at 16,000 as of Chapter 4 in case anyones counting.
