    Chapter 3

I’ll have to write something some day about the evil murderous dark lord who gets turned by the village idiot.

    Chapter 3

“Why are you hugging me!? No stop! I’m darkness the shadow that stalks the night! FFS STOP WITH THE HUGGING!”

    Chapter 3

Also it’s harder to hate Ben when his humanity starts to show. 😂

    Chapter 3

That was a good chapter. This line however made me laugh so hard: Riley snorted, a wet, dismissive sound. "You're so full of shit your eyes are brown. But carry on, Picasso." I find it funny that Ben thought of Riley as just a pet both in book 1 and this story, but in that mangled mind of his he failed to notice that pets tend to find a way to worm into your chest. Honestly I’m not sure who Riley should end up with at this point.
  5. I lost it at “what in the world are you reading?” 😂 You would think he would have figured this out by now and would know better.
  6. And you didn’t complain! In fact what did you call it? Oh yes, this one is a better one anyway. Despite you clutching your pearls for the public we all know you look to check to make sure no one else is looking when you look back and squint to make sure you didn’t miss any of the filthy bits. Our dear esteemed @Jason Rimbaud baits you with this on purpose, don’t think I didn’t notice. You’re just as bad as we are, except for maybe me since my filthy writing has limits to the point I should really get a strand of pearls to clutch, since I’m the innocent one. 😂
  7. Yes Gabriel was just meant to be a device in the machine. Now I have to find another role for him to fill. While I totally could end it here, there’s still the war with Madison and the fallout. And I haven’t hit a few tropes yet.

    Chapter 5

And she calls this a little spicy. 😂 So obviously something happened during this festival with Malik and fire, and of course somebody saw it and now Nyrra is still trying to play the “tailless one is dangerous,” card again. Rhaelce isn’t having it until he gets some, and the author leaves us on a major cliffhanger before we find out what color it is. I mean obviously we know what color the humans shoot but what about these guys? Is it green? Blue? Pink? Oh what if it’s like a gender reveal blue if it’s a boy pink if it’s a girl. 😂 Science demands answers!
  9. That seems to be what happens when me you and @Jason Rimbaud spend any amount of time together in a thread, it just goes sideways until we are on a new topic. 😂
  10. I’m kinda with Jason on this one, the first time I ever did it was awkward as hell and it wasn’t for love lmao.
  11. The end of Chapter 5 (The beach episode) - I’m Gay: A Nifty Story. I usually limit myself to soft core stuff lol.
  12. The Saint Sebastian poster would combust and burn the house down if we did that. It would take Father Matthew blessing the fire hydrants to create enough holy water to close the gates of hell that would have opened up on Skylar’s bed lmao.

    Chapter 2

This version of Ben is a bit more likable. Maybe it’s because his control is slipping because Riley just can’t be controlled lol

    Chapter 1

I'm stuck on: "Still up here." 😂 Glad to see this one going again.
  15. Yeah speaking of both of those you know what would look good on this list? Falcon Banners Book 5 and The Watchers book 3. 😋😂 *hinthinthint* ❤️❤️
  16. I’m definitely a prude.
  17. Christ this chapter made me bust more than once and no, not like that you pervs. 😂 Such a smart child that one. 😂
  18. 3am in the central time zone, but I woke up around 6:30pm because generally I work nights, but not tonight.
  19. You'd be surprised at how it's not. I used to make the most amazing things using off the shelf crap I had at home because I smoked a bowl and got the munchies. It was like almost instinct. Like I had awaken the inner pastry fairy that lives within me. So many tarts, turnovers, upside down cakes and cream pie galore!
  20. Same lol. I'd love to be as filthy as @Jason Rimbaud but I grew up modest, and never broke out of that mold. 😂
  21. I used to be one hell of a pastry chef when I got high.
  22. Back in the day I had a well stocked pantry so a little bit of everything. I ventured out and looked up stuff online occasionally to keep the menu from getting old but it was fun.
  23. I play around with sauces too. I guess that would be one thing my ex would miss about me, the food.
  24. This came up a while back in my feed and gave it a go. I was born in the middle of those date ranges but yes I totally feel all of it. I remember when I was like five we could do four digit dialing for in town local calls, then one day it didn’t work anymore and we had to use the prefix code as well. So to go from that to the smart phones we have today is crazy when you think about it. Independent and critical thinking skills were very much required growing up because most of the time parental supervision was almost nonexistent at times. Although a group effort was made by the adults to at least keep kids in line so we didn’t become degenerates. By the time I was 18, the internet was taking off, dialup first then when I was 19 dsl came out of nowhere, then cable. It seemed like every 3 months there was something new. The iPod shook us free of our CD binders, PC gaming advances and video card technology made the original PlayStation that just a few years ago held our teenage life with such reverence seemed old and obsolete. Never mind that old Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis that propped up our social life during the middle school years. Then to have your early adult work life effected by Enron, 9/11, and when you felt like you where finally making it with a job that paid 40+k a year, making more than some of your extended family the 2008 housing crisis shows up, bringing with it massive layoffs, rapid inflation, and a mortgage you suddenly can’t pay for. So you clear the slate, get out from under it before the complete crash, and have to start over while living in an area that has a 14% unemployment rate. And you start over. Again. At this point your so disenchanted because in your short adult life you watched the towers fall, business empires collapse, your credit rating go from “sure!” to “sorry son, would love to help but can’t”, not to mention the ongoing military actions in two countries, and the bodies that keep getting sent home, you’ll believe anybody that says ‘change is something we can believe in!’ And then nothing changes. Growth is stagnant. You have experience and credentials but good luck putting any of it to use. You lose weight not because you want too, because eating costs money which is something you are in short supply of, but change is coming! Just not for you. So you stop relying on what you relied on before to provide for you. You stop believing in everything you’ve been ever told about ‘how the future will be.’ Your motivations change, your thought patterns change. You know you’re getting screwed but instead of complaining about it you consider it as ‘dancing with the devil in the pale moon light.’ You just play your part in the game, work a job you hate for a company you know doesn’t care because the pay is timely the benefits while terrible won’t leave you dying in an ER because that cold you’ve got turned out to be pneumonia. You just play your part. You smile at the things people want you to smile at, say the things that make others feel good. When really you just want to burn it all to the ground. But you’ve learned patience and resilience. And you’ve gotten strength through adversity. You know when your being lied to, you know which truths to believe. And you still play the game, but now you know. There’s a reason why we feel it, why we seem to have that disconnect, and that feeling that we are stuck in the middle. We are our own, born at that perfect time to have both feet firmly in two different worlds and the unfortunate timing of being affected by the crash as both collided with each other. Im not sure I would have had it any other way though, the lessons I learned from the experience just seem like it would be too much to give up. Anyway that kinda went ranty but those of you who know will get it lol.
