Damn this is one that has “Almost Home” by shadowgod. I remember getting to read it before it was submitted I still get the chills from it. All of these are old school works that definitely need the reread or first reads.

This isn't a love story. But it could be if you twist it enough. Everything about this story is twisted though, from Kieran's growth into someone he didn't think he could be, the silent mentor that carves this new creation with a quiet kind of blunt force and fear. It's a deep read, but one worth while.

That's going to be an interesting one. As for this story, it ended a lot better than I thought it would. I love the King vs God bit, I think I said something about that in a comment somewhere. I think I liked Kier a lot better after this chapter than the previous, but that kinda started with his reaction to Matty. It feels like he learned to merge those two halves of him into something that wasn't so...Ben. Ben thinks that having a "heart" of any kind is a weakness, when in reality it's a strength. It allows you to pick your strikes, instead of just burning the entire field. Moments of mercy can do more for loyalty than outright fear, and perhaps that's just something Ben never learned. Or just gave up on. I knew Ben would be able to get out of the legal stuff though because well, you know lol. The bit about texting Lee at the end, totally didn't expect that one though. But yeah looking forward to the next one.

I was typing one handed on an iPhone Pro max and I’ve got medium sized to small hands (and before someone makes a size comment no I was blessed enough in other areas) and trying to hammer it out quickly. Auto correct failed I tried to wipe it out and fix it then that failed so I gave up and hit send anyway and just never got around to fixing it lmao. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

The numbers for Trump would still be the same probably as it really happened. But with the addition of Canada that would add 54 seats to the house of representatives (and thus 54 electoral votes) and add 2 in the senate, and raise the simple majority in the electoral college from 270 votes to 297. Yes I already did the research for some reason. @Topher Lydon if you want a suggestion keep the electoral math the same as the real 2024 except flip 2 swing states Michigan and either Wisconsin or Ohio (but not both) and if you want your brawl have it happen over there. And if you do need the “brawl” then think about flipping Michigan due to the automotive industry getting disrupted due to whatever supplier problem you wanna invent on the Canadian side. Ohio could go that way too for almost the same reason. Just a thought.

Let's start with Lex. I gave him Steve because he was becoming a little impossible for me to keep up with. That's why Steve doesn't talk he's just there to keep Lex occupied until I either figure it out or totally give up on it. I can't kill him off because he's got a contract for the season so I just shove him around. Sloane totally figured out the vest bit, she even commented on it when she was whispering with Gabriel when Skylar was busy staring at his object of affection. He probably would have heard more if he hadn't been so busy drooling. I left you guys as clueless as Skylar on purpose. Part of it was chapter length. I knew this one was going to be a big one when I plotted it out and I made a deal with myself, if it made it to 10-12k I'd split it, if it made it 10k or under I'd send it, so I literally had to keep it short in some areas or risk going over. lol Madison could be worse unfortunately I was never a teenaged girl. I'm always going to miss the target on the fairest of the sexes especially how mean they can get just because I cant fit myself into that mindset. I can try to imitate it but I can't feel it. It's something I'm working on, I'd like my female characters to eventually be just as good as the male ones. That's why Kenzi and Sloane are the way they are, it's also why I always have at least one female friend that's just a strong mean one in general. One thing about Sloane though she could give a damn about the crown, she just hates Madison so anything to the effect of putting her down is worth it's weight in gold. And Gabriel my golden child. Go figure the scene that's been in my head would be the one you didn't like hahaha. I totally get what your saying though, and it really is a fair and valid point. To counter that point though, Gabe did have a fair bit of responsibility for what happened and he really is just trying to fall on the sword as it where. Yes Sky needs to figure out where his courage is, but I kind of felt the urge to cap off an explosion before it had a chance to happen, and hopefully give Ryan the chance to see Gabe as something other than a huge threat. I really almost want to fling Gabe at Sloane to be honest so I could have something like: "Ew. You kissed my brother and touched this butt!" "But now I want to kiss you and touch your butt." "Not happening choir boy." Then: "You know that's gross right?" I said as I watched my sister saunter away. "Hey, I'm keeping it in the family!" Just to give him something to focus on, while Ryan tries to figure his self out because you know he's all messed up inside. A five minute conversation that happened one night with a hug isn't going to fix his mess. Or I could just say to hell with it end it here, call it a novella and go about my day. 😂 Not like I don't have half a dozen things breaking my door down.
