Wry Ramblings From A Hot Wing
Jeff Burton replied to Jason Rimbaud's topic in Random Thoughts and Statuses
I enjoyed PT myself even though it hurt like hell because the muscles where just so stiff but once i was convinced my arm wasn’t going to fall off it went pretty smooth and I got full range of motion back pretty quickly. I still use some of the stuff I learned there on a daily basis just to keep it limber. (I ended up with some permanent damage but it’s manageable) -

I'm glad your feeling better and hope the boot thing works out because it'll definitely improve your mood, probably not for your husband but he has two hands toys and the internet if he can't handle it himself for a while well... lol Let's hope your PTA is flamboyantly happy like my nurse in Encrypted, it would definitely help the healing process. But judging from what Cassie posts it seems like the majority of them have their soul crushed by the second week so good luck. I will say though good job on kicking the pain bills. When I got my shoulder crushed in 2018 I did the same thing. I think I took 2 out of 2 different kinds they sent me home with and after waking up from the first dose I never took them again. it's like the morphine they gave me at the ER was good enough to make me stop crying and made me half normal again, and really that's all I needed. Those pills are just too easy to get attached to and I didn't want it either. Besides using an existing addiction to stop a restart with an old one was a good call all the way around I wouldn't have done it any different lol. -
Much appreciated. Trust me if I ever do publish it, I’m going to rewrite parts of it mainly to make it better in a couple of areas that bug me. Book 2 is currently being worked on and I may have it before the end of the year, trying to keep the pace and flow of the original plus add new concepts is challenging but we will see. Im so glad you enjoyed it. This was the first time I’ve ever attempted anything related to a thriller and responses like yours tell me I may actually be good at it. 😂

I’ve been threatened with tornado sirens twice in a 7 day period, both were too close for comfort, I don’t mind spring showers but can we please turn down the chances of hail and tornados? 😂. The wind has been blowing branches off the trees over here.

Don’t get technical because you know exactly what I’m talking about lol. Bruce Wayne wouldn’t be anything without daddy’s money. -

Batman is just an over emotional teenager with daddy’s Amex black card. There I said it. -
AI can be interesting and it can be creepy
Jeff Burton replied to Myr's topic in Random Thoughts and Statuses
This is actually pretty cool. Ive been using Claude to help keep dormant coding skills active, and the crap my imagination comes up with sometimes surprises me. My original niche way back when was php and mySQL back in the mid 2000s and sorta branched into other languages and use cases that used databases. It was mainly set towards community building with PC gamers to keep them from eating each other, but there’s a definite line between gamers who just play and the group I belong to which can not only play, but also build and develop with imaginative solutions. i guess my muse is multi tiered lol. AI so far has managed to keep me current in that field and even teach me some new stuff. Kids these days with their fancy programming languages. One of these days I’ll see if I can pick up a new language, but programming/coding/ even simple scripting can be time consuming. Anyway I’m all for it. If AI can help me find something to read or just pick a movie on Netflix because I can’t make a decision due to sheer volume of choices I’ll take it. Other wise great things may not be read or great content may not be watched. -

Not gonna lie I did laugh when I read that first paragraph and it sounded like the sea witch from the little mermaid. You know which laugh -

Well it's been an amazing experience for me, I've never been called out in a story before. So there's that. -

After reading the last half dozen posts on my sacred status thread I must officially state that I am indeed afraid of Krista as people well should be and I do not officially support the Knights in their endeavour. Unofficially....I might giggle in the background occasionally. 👼 -

Damn each time you talk about it the injury seems a little worse. Try not to go stir crazy, I can tell your a pretty independent person who probably isn’t liking this at all but do what you can to allow your foot to heal. -

I totally believe it I once fell down the concrete stairs at a downtown BART station in SF. I got lucky that the only thing I broke was my pride lol -

Absolutely not. I've got a disfunctional brain as it is you start adding pressure, and I'll forget to come on the site for 6 months until the campaign thinks I've disappeared. Then pop out of the shadows, rage post some stories for 3 months then disappear for another 6. Just don't do it. -

@Davide I didn't take it as such so no need to worry on that but I felt an explanation was needed for anyone who cared to read it just to make sure people get where I'm coming from. Yeah well if my muse would stop rewriting shit and just FIGURE IT OUT ALREADY it wouldn't be banged so hard. -

Yeah, I get that. Maybe it’s because I haven’t found my little spot to be yet so I’m just covering the field until I find what actually sticks? Exploring it is fun I just wish it didn’t take forever for the momentum to get going on a particular project. Writing does take a massive amount of time sometimes. And I know people are waiting for the next banger but trust me when I say I’m not that fast. 😂 And don’t forget GA itself has The Secret Author contest which I will be participating in this year as well as the yearly Anthology. The first one I have no idea what I’m doing yet, the second one I’ve had an idea since it was announced and it’s kinda my favorite one at the moment, even though it’s a shorter story. I’m completely stalled at the moment on the in progress stuff but only because my muse won’t share the energy at the moment which is another thing I hate about it. If I’m not feeling it I can’t write it lol. -

I’ll send you the next bit once I let it stew for a while. There’s a lot of material I’m absolutely happy with but there’s other stuff I feel like I’m either not being clear on or the words just don’t feel like they’re right. what I’m probably going to do is start a version 2. Not delete anything just kinda go back, and make parts move another way. Maybe I can keep the parts I like that way. Or I could just be setting myself up for failure but it’s not like I haven’t written 50,000 words before and trashed all of it before.
