    Thanks dude, this story was a total accident that happened when I was writing Salvaging the Road to Redemption Chapter 2 or 3 I think. Either way I had writers block for about an hour trying to get something to work and it wasn't working so I opened another doc file and started free writing hoping it would help me out. That damn essay Tyler was writing and wasn't happy with was basically how I felt about the chapter I was working on and it just kept going from there. I had someone tell me once that sometimes the best works of art are born out of a mistake, in this case this one was born out of frustration from a chapter I couldn't write correctly lol. Then the characters took over and bam 8 chapters later here we are. 🤷‍♂️

    It's funny how details like that are often overlooked when you read something isn't it? I've slowly been removing the pieces of the janga tower that is Ben's mental state since Chapter 1. He wasn't ready, he thought he was, but the fact is he so wasn't. Benjamin just doesn't have the support structure in place. Or does he and he just doesn't know it's there and doesn't know how to use it? All I can say is, poor Benjamin. I have so much more to say about this character and where it comes from but I'd be giving too much away. But I can say, with this story, 'the devil is in the details.' Even if that detail is in a few words buried in the chapter.

    That is the theme for the end of chapter 5 and this one really. Because really the person going through it is in the dark because their thoughts are so all over the place they can no longer connect the dots or see the obvious. Doesn't help either that there's something else entirely going on but I may be too subtle for people to pick up on it.

    Originally chapters 5 and 6 was just chapter 5. And it was missing a lot of content from both, but I've got the setups I needed done so now I can get to the juicy stuff.
