If he were younger, the temptation might be there for him to play his parents against each other. When divorce happens, there's good and bad on both sides. I tried to display that here. Jake's dad was a terrible husband, but he seems to be a good father. His mom is a good mom who took her ex-husband to the cleaners in the divorce out of spite and pettiness. Jake realized he was wrong when he called his mother stupid. I really enjoyed writing Jake all through this chapter. Everything seemed to click for me as I wrote out the divorce of his parents. He's a little bit of a mix of WAR's Big 3, yet he's his own person. I'm looking forward to seeing where he takes me.
