Michael, I think you are right on. I had the same feelings when I read the chapter. They both are interesting in the way that they decide when to be "gay" and when not to be. And yes, he is becoming more comfortable with James, but he is only 8 and jealousy can always rear it's ugly head again. I also think that Nick is close to coming out to his dad and he really likes Lori. I think that she is a wonderful woman and the way she deals with him is so touching. Jensen

Welcome lustful_orcs, I am some what new myself, not a writer though just a reader. I enjoy reading the stories here and have tried to give feedback as well. As a reader, it is weird because you don't want to offend the writer so sometimes you feel odd giving an opinion. But, I have been trying to do better with my feed back and make it constructive. Anyway, Formosa is one of the shared authors here and he has started a really good love story. Hi CJames, I have done some research in that area as well. What I found when I went back to the older languages, siting mainly Sodom and Gomorrah, that the ancient words that were actually used to describe the city were describing behaviour. The same words used to describe a whore, woman, was the exact same words used to describe the men's behaviour. It was the actual behavior of the situation, that was admonished not being homosexual. Anyway, I took that further and found it to be consistent in almost every text that the word homosexual would apply. But, I never found that in any case that it was wrong when love was involved. Michael, I think you are correct on many levels, but as Nick I too knew who I was at that age but I did not have the luxuery of having my boyfriend right next to me. I had a horrible life before coming out. Nick on the other hand has taken the bull by the horns and decided for himself what he wants and he will make sure that he gets it. Now, on the other side, he is very concerned about Taylor, he would never let anything happen to Taylor. He would protect him with his life. I think what we are seeing is a young man willing to say "this is who I am" and moving forward. Who are we to say what speed he moves at. He actually might need to move a light speed. That is a personal issue and I won't even touch that. Nick is very strong headed, very typical of a Greek, but it is also an admirable trait as well. He sticks to his guns. I can only imagine what he will grown into as an adult. He will be a force to be reconed with. I am glad that he is growing up in a world that will allow him to be who and what he is and that is simply a person. Time will tell, but I think this young man will lead us to a new tomorrow. Jensen

Wow, what an interesting chapter. Well, it does not surprise me that Andrew's parents took things so well. They have been supportive of him from the beginning. I think it is safe to say, that they have had conversations about this day many times. They are by no means ignorant of gay relationships. I think it took them by suprise and then they had to put things into persective. They want Andrew to be happy and if Jarred is making him happy, then they won't interfer. But, with that, I think Jarred is digging a huge whole for himself. One he does not realize he is digging. Andrew's parents can tell their son is in love or smitten but Jarred is not. Andrew's parents only want Andrew to be happy and to demonstrate that within the walls of their home he is safe and loved. What Jarred does not understand is to what length they are going to show their son how much they love him and at this point are trusting Jarred not to hurt their son. Jarred will hurt Andrew then he will a problem on his hands he can not control. Andrew's parents will do what ever they have to for Andrew and to make sure if he gets hurt no one will ever get hurt like that again. So Jarred is not just hurting Andrew now, he is hurting the family because he is being accepted into the family. If he hurts Andrew, I can see Andrew's parents and Jarred's parents having a pow wow and Jarred will have such a mess on his hands he won't be able to get out of it. He has created a second family now whether he knows it or not. Let's just see if Nick takes this even deeper still. I think he might build this up to as deep as it can get before Jarred dumps him then Jarred will feel the wrath of things he has never felt before. A whole family hurt by him. Jensen

Hi All, I am trying to get through this as well and I found this to be a great chapter and it seemed to me, that Nick learned a lesson in humility and in love as well. He sure loves his Papu! It must be hard for him to be so young yet have to share you dad and Papu. I am not so sure I would have done so well. But, I think he did a great job writing about it. I can't wait to read more of this story. Jensen

Hi All, I just got caught up on this story and wow, I was shocked at the ending. I was like something from Knot's Landing (Those who can remember that), or from CSI season finally. I must say that I am leaning with Talon Rider on this. But, I don't think it was Mark who is the issue, because Kevin knows who was in the room with his stepbrother and knows the identily of the person. Just my personal observation from reading this so quickly. I do have an idea that they at one point must have confronted Kevin's dad since they were at the center of all this and I bet he was not nice to them. So I think Kevin's dad is going to be very embarassed by this scene. If not something worse, like maybe a bad business deal. But, I have a feeling that Kevin will be involved in part of it. Great job Nick, can't wait for the next chapter. Jensen

Well, I voted interesting characters. I think that if an author can develope a range of interesting characters then I believe that a story plot will fall into place. Because as you develope the characters, they make the story. They develope it and they carry it. If you have one or two characters in a story, it is more complicated to make the story likeable. But, if you develope a line of characters that are interesting then it is more likely they will contribute to the story and the plot will thicken or develope. With out good characters, you loose the heart of the story what makes you want to come back what gives the story soul. Jensen

Hi, I am Jensen and was lead here by several friends. I am just getting use to the enviornment and other things the site has to offer. I have posted on Formosa, who has a great story "Loving You Loving Me" and I was told there was a forum to discuss his story. So I joined and my first post was there. He is really a great author and I love the story. Leo and David are great characters and true to life. So anyway, I am getting my feet wet and will soon jump in whole heartedly. Great Story!! I liked the way that family was described and how there are diffent types of families! Well done and the emotion put into it was increadible. Ah Michael, Finally, someone has come up with what I feel is a very good reason for Nick to do this to all the close characters. I think you figured it out. I had it in the back of my head, but you put into words. I know that it is done on purpose and that there is a real reason for it and I think you may have just found the key!!! Great insight. Hi Everyone, I was waiting to post to see what the rest of you thought. I have my own feelings on the story. There seems to be 3 parts to this chapter. 1.) What is all the drinking and smoking about? Seemed in excess? Where is it going? Why? 2.) The Dream in the middle, in a car naked and going into a grocery store? Maybe the munchies after the joint. 3.) Well, we know what the we dream is about and he is about to find out as well, the question is, will he tell his dad the truth or come up with a lie? He has to be scared. Then if he tells his dad the truth, he could be a very unhappy man and just walk away from him again, or love him for who he is. Oh, I did some checking, remember Kevin is 11 as well as Justin. Justin's big brother is 17 and Mark must be close to that Maybe 16. So we are looking at a possible 16 or 17 year old going afte someone who is 11. Doen't anyone think that is odd? Well, I enjoyed the chapter, but for some reason, there is something maybe a little more sinister going on. Hugs, David

I am enjoying everyone's responses to this story. Everyone is bringing something new to the table. That is why I like these forums so much. I think Kevin hit on a key element though, what is love? There are so many ways to define it as there are to display it. I still feel strongly that Jarred does not love Andrew and that it is just a booty call. You know, in our world everyone has a different type of relationship. To describe a few, there are those that love the heart and only one heart is for them. The traditional relationship, which I have in my life with Mike. Then there are those who "agree" to have an open relationship. They love each other but they still want to explore sex with other people but they both agree to it and for the most part agree that they will only do that once with another person never the same person twice. Then we have the Muslim's who can have multiple wives. Now, I have a muslim friend and she explained that yes many muslim men have more than one wife, but he must also get permission from the first wife to be able to marry another. If it is hidden from the first wife, she can divorce him. Then there are the cheaters. People who profess their love to one person but can not be sexually satisfied with one partner, ever. So they cheat and hope they don't get caught. Do they love the one that they are cheating on, I don't know because I have never understood cheating. But, it happens all around us in all kinds of relationships. So, what kind of relationship is Jarred in? Is he really in love with Phillip, then he is cheating. Why is he not satisfied with Phillip as his one and only? Is Phillip not as sexually willing and available as Jarred wants? Something is missing or Jarred would not be having this booty call so often. So, is Jarred really in love, getting back to Kevin and his point. Well, I have gone off the deep edge with this post haven't I. Sorry for the long post, relationships are something I study and enjoy. Thanks for listening or reading, David

Well, actually for Dallas it is very odd that it is this cool for September. Feels more like October to me. But, I am not complaining after the many days of 107 degree days we had here this summer. One of the 5 hottest summers in the history of recorded temperatures in Dallas. The person below me is trying to figure out what they are going to be for Halloween!!

Well, you must have to be from Arkansas to understand it. I am and it is funny. Basically any kind of sexual contact with anything seems to be acceptable. Ark. has a history of interfamily marriage and all sorts of things to nasty to mention here. Only because I am from there can I actually comment. HeeHee, why do you think I ran like a crazy man to Dallas!!!! David
