Holds are set manaully by the author or automatically when authors stop posting on a story and aren't active on site. Holds come off manually when an author sets status on a story. If they don't adjust the status, it stays on whatever the system set it. If they change it back to "In Process" and don't post, the system will switch it back as soon as the author isn't on site for a day. You must be posting actively for "In Process" to stay that way. Generally speaking, yes. Staff may manually adjust sub-genres if there are obvious errors. We did adjust the software in the back to block authors from the obviously incorrect things like Poetry in Fiction category or "World Building" genres outside the World Building category.
