  1. thanks @Cia I wasn't sure who the coverage person was this week
  2. It's been a busy week and our buddy @wildone has went out to the wilds on vacation. Somebody, somewhere forgot a little something... so I'm dropping this in and you'll have to check back later for more updates. -Myr Update: That somebody was, me Cia... and I developed a migraine last night and went to bed at 7:30 PM and slept for 11 hours. Isn't that always the excuse? 😉 Too much sun yesterday, and I'm not as good as Wildone to get a nasty burn and keep on working. He's a machine! My family rightly calls me a vampire, and we're on day 6 now of a heat wave of 95-100+ degrees. I hope everyone else is surviving the weather where they are at! Let's stay indoors and catch up with this week's blog posts: Monday's blog was our CSR Discussion Day. Did you read July's story by James Matthews? August's Feature day is tomorrow! Thursday was a feature by Valkyrie about her Anthology experiences. Have you considered participating in this year's event! Deadline is coming soon! Friday featured Disability Pride prompts, also brought to you by Valkyrie. How about a short challenge before tackling the anthologies? *hint, hint* Saturday Comicality spoke to elements that don't work in writing. Have you run into those? Myr was his busy, busy self as always and shared some truly interesting Word of the Day blogs: foible coup de grace buckaroo abnegate surly bouquiniste apodictic Since it's the last day of July, let's check out how we did on the month's goals. Looks like we need to up those story comments! 3. Party, dancing, booze with a good bouquet over @Carlos Hazday's place... (or for the quieter among us, visit a nice bouquiniste and pick up a used book in a genre you haven't tried out before...)
  4. It's not, no. This is on Story Publishing and you are reporting an issue on Chapter Publishing. Mixing issues makes it a lot more difficult to correct things, so please follow the posting rules. See your issue here: We are waiting on the bug patch for this.
  5. Yeah, it's a weird word that the etymology-inclined can have fun with.
  6. As we work to fill up our queue of features and what not, I thought I'd drop some stats information about some of things going on at the site. Your suggestion does not work for search engines. I've had 20 years experience trying that and immediately disappearing from search to prove it. Ergo, the Stories link provides Story focus while the Home link provides searchable content for search engines that allows Gay Authors to be findable in search. Click "Stories" on the red menu. 3/4 of the traffic at all times of day are in the Story Archive. As @Cia said, we are a writing community as well as story site. If you are concerned only about stories, bookmark the "Stories" link and just use that. It is set up to be functional as the homepage, less the issue with Google delisting us when we do it.
