@drown already covered, but yes.. Click Name to get Author Profile (Story Listing) and click Photo to get Member Profile (site profile) This is not part of the Story Archive and changes to its function our largely outside our control. Thus outside the purpose of this discussion. On the Activity system "All Activity" is, oddly enough, All Activity you have access to. there is no Follow or unfollow... it's All Activity. That's it's purpose. Creating your Own activity stream would allow you more flexibility, but it is a fiddly system and beyond the capabilities of most of our users. Thus we don't bring it up often. When you go to the Writing World Blog, just select categories if the normal sorting is too much for you. All Activity shows ALL Activity you have access to. Some Clubs are Open (anyone can post), Public (Anyone can see, but only members can post), Closed ( You can see it's there and request to join, but you can't see any activity until you do), and Private (You can't see it unless invited). Comicality Club, like other Fan Clubs are open to be seen, but you have to be a member to post. So, that's why it is visible in All Activity. Someone is using the Member Dashboard? That's a page with a lot of widgets and test features. As for the Story of the Moment, it is tucked away on the MEmber Dashboard and not being used any where else because of that limitation. There is a bug that we were not able to fix previously. With the changes to the underlying software since the last attempt, it might be fixable now. I'll add the "Story of the Moment" widget back on to our develop list. Please keep this topic on Story Archive and Story related features/functions. Those are much more under our direct control than other software and thus something we can do something about.

There is, yes. Though he asked for more. For reference, the site uses something called fluid design. There is only 1 theme which adjusts to fit the device you are on. The 'mobile version' just shrinks down and moves around the elements. You can see this on a desktop by making your browser really small like a phone. The theme fluidly reshapes to fit the size of your browser.

This exists now and is called "Reading History". You need to turn it on to make use of it. "Reading History Stores a maximum of 50 stories for up to 30 days. If you wish to keep your track of your stories long term, add them to a Collection!" I have made notes on your other request.

My uncle discovered that plate glass windows work wonders in getting the bird without the pellets. But the glass in the dining room and delivery of the uncooked, unprocessed quail directly to the table is a bit much...

Fellow Site Members: Welcome to 2024! There are going to be some big software changes this year as the software that powers our website, Invision Community, goes from version 4.X to 5.0. The big key under the hood changes for this version will be modernizing the software and removing some of the legacy weight it has been carrying for a long time. Their main target seems to be making the software even more mobile friendly. With over 50% of our traffic coming from Mobile, more speed, better function and more stable behavior on mobile should be seen as a good thing. The knock-on of these changes is that we have to basically heavily rewrite our Story Archive to work in the system. We have already started working with a new developer that will be helping us with improvements when that time comes. Before then though, we are working to address some of the shortcomings of the current system, some lingering bugs, and missing features. As we will be working on the system more actively now, I'm going to open up a question to everyone to make sure we what we can on improvements. If you could have just two things from the Story Archive on site, what would they be? * * Useful clarifications: Functions and capabilities of the Story Archive on Gay Authors More authors adding more stories is not a software function Please comment below and we'll see what we can do. One thing already in process is adding Story Status to our Genre Top 10 blogs. This information is pulled via a report we have built into the system and the report is getting updated.

Yes? example.. in the story you mention gadget, and a character moves it or something in a scene. in the world building entry, it might be an encyclopedia entry of the invention and use of gadget. This information needs to exist in some form, but breaks the flow of a story if you info dump it in the scene.

World Building is a special genre added to Gay Authors to group together the various elements that an author must develop for a speculative fiction story that occurs outside of our own experiences. The further outside the more that needs to be developed. However, modern audiences do not generally tolerate large amounts of exposition (Show, Don't Tell!). World Building genre is where you can post the various parts and pieces that aren't full on story, but fill your world for those that just want to know more but would slow down your story or be a cheesy infodump. You should NOT tag fiction stories with World Building genre. These tags are meant for story information and fragments in World Building category. Sub-genres: Fantasy World Building, General Fiction World Builder, Science Fiction World Building, Paranormal World Building Top 10 Most Read - Fantasy World Building The World of Pern by Mawgrim The World of the King's Rangers by Myr Top 10 Most Read - Science Fiction World Building The World of Psionic Corp by Myr Top 10 Most Read - Paranormal World Building No stories Top 10 Most Read - General Fiction World Builder Graduate School by Carlos Hazday Prospect Street - Summer of '22 Book IV by Carlos Hazday The Agean by Carlos Hazday The District - Summer of '22 Book VIII by Carlos Hazday The Grand Hotel - Summer of '22 Book V by Carlos Hazday The Big Apple - Summer of '22 Book VII by Carlos Hazday
