Very true. Their prison of selfishness, greed, evil, and emptiness really is the greatest torment for them. But the havoc they bring to those around them is just heartbreaking. Mort isn’t perfect, nor is he an innocent child. But he doesn’t intend to bring harm to anyone, and is just trying to live a peaceful existence with someone who will finally love him. He has so much love to give someone who will show a genuine interest in him. All of those who have done so have died way too soon, or been ripped away from him. I have to believe that something, or someone, good is waiting on him in the future and all of the loss, hurt, and sadness will be forgotten. Yes, I’m a romantic who is a sucker for happy endings. Though they may be few and far between in life, I can hope for them in my literary fantasy world lol. ❤️

I will soon need a spreadsheet to keep track of the deaths haha. Seems as though all the good ones die, and yet some of the most vile seem to hang on. Perdita being the one in question. I’m not one to wish I’ll will on others, but in this case I’ll make an exception. I hope she dies, and I hope it hurts lol.

Very lucky teacher, getting to share that intimate experience with Mort. I find myself embarrassed to be so attracted to Mort as I know it would be considered taboo. But he’s so wise and intelligent. Intelligence, conviction, and curiosity to know more are all traits that I find most attractive. Physical appearance doesn’t matter to me. But someone who can challenge me in a debate, or expand my perspective in life is always extremely attractive to me. I dare say Mort would have me wrapped around his finger all too quickly. Now, if only the nasty mother would be killed from being over sexed by the nine men lol. I believe she would enjoy being sexed to death!

It seems as though Mort has spent his life mired in the Slough of Despot. I’m hoping that Help, Faitful, and Goodwill soon cross paths with Mort and accompany him on his journey! (Pilgrim was one of my favorite books. I still have a copy in my library, though it is a bit tattered from the years and use 🙂. You brought a smile to my face when I read your comments, and saw that you were referencing this great work of literature!!)

Poor Mort....will he ever find security and a stable life? My heart breaks that he’s had to endure such a life filled with loss. Poor boy....life surely has been unkind to him.

Very happy to see Mort feeling more secure and starting to experiment with friends. He’s at a good age to enjoy discovering his sexual likes and dislikes, and he seems to have found some very suitable mates.

No, I don’t believe he caused the deaths. But the bully, the grandfather, Fystie, Leo, the beach bully, and now the teacher....seems as though many around him end up dead. He has seen more death in his 10 years than most. I hope Marshall stays alive for many years. It’s nice to see Mort bonding with him, and I think Marshall will be a good role model and mentor to him as he approaches those confusing, frustrating puberty years haha. I don’t personally condone suicide, or assisted suicide, but it’s not my choice, and my opinion doesn’t govern anyone but me. I also believe strongly in God. Are those connected....I don’t know. Could be. 🤔 I’ve become a huge fan of your stories, even though I disagree with many of your political/religious views as presented in your stories. I don’t have to agree with your views in order to be a fan haha. You’re an exceptional, imaginative, creative writer. Thank you for creating and sharing these characters with us!❤️

Mort is starting to appear less like a little boy and more like the Angel of Death. If I were Marshall, I might start to be a little nervous since death seems to follow Mort wherever he goes.

Love nick and Noah! And I love the closeness and chemistry between the,. Yes, even the sexual chemistry. They have a special bond, and I’m so happy.

I find myself so torn between wanting Robbie to be happy with Nathan, but I also want him to be with Alex and Tom. So hard to decide where I think his heart truly lies. I know the obvious answer is with Nathan, but I also feel he’s still very much attracted and connected to Alex and Tom. So hard to know where his happiness really falls. And Daniel...that sexy boy needs some sex! Too bad he isn’t gay. He and Nathan would have been perfect together and then Robbie could have been with Alex. Don having two gay sons.....oh how I would love that 😂😂
