I am getting a bit worried about Clints infatuation with Mac. I can see things easily going sideways. Lonnies lack of concern also seems odd. I hope this is just my pessimistic side showing....

Wow. William and Sasha dating. Hm, can bad people really change? I am sure we will find out soon. Maybe Marc will have to shoot William with his favorite hand cannon.....

Another huge error is that the school has absolutely NO authority off school grounds, therefore only the last event is within their realm to pass out punishment. Where are the lawyers? They should be filing papers with the courts as I type!!!!!

I could only react with angry because of the asshat math teacher. We had one of those when I was in high school and it took an action by the school board to "Advise him that his job depended on fairness". He was not there my senior year!!

It seems that now it is Adams turn to slow down and learn about Marc and his way of creating a BONDED future. Marc has grown up in a life where you live and die by your actions... his words. Adam does not really understand this...yet. Marc loves Adam and is trying to create a safe and stable future for both of them and their kids and grand kids and... for the next 150_ stanyears. Both of them need to open up and honestly communicate their desires, fears, doubts and hopes to each other or things will never be exactly right between them.....

I too will chip in with thanks for the background information. When I first found your stories starting with "After We Danced", I was hooked on your stories. You write with obvious feeling and goals for your characters. Well Done!!! RIP Graham, Smooth travels...

I am not a believer in having an abundance of kids, but having a circle of friends and family each with a few "shared" kids makes for a lot of kids to love with a manageable number to raise, If we figure 4 per bonded group, we could easily have 20 without even figuring Sasha and the twins and other past loves..... Yea, 40 or so would keep everyone on their toes 😇!

As said above, please explain the birthing process. It is wonderful that Marc opened up to Adam and shared his pain and stresses and allowed Adam to have input on the things their future involves. I also think the families will need a private sit down to work out exactly where everyone lives on the list of both corporate and family expectations. Grandpa Alexander seems to also have a bit of "My Way" syndrome. It might do him some good to have a heart to heart with his sister, Grandma Armstrong, for a needed wake up call.....

Marc is doing much better, but he still has a bit of that "My Way" thing going on. Maybe after an honest heart to heart with Adam he might ease up a bit. Great writing @P. E. Knapp. I will wait drooling for the next chapter.

Very glad to see Marc is on the mend. He will always have moments where the trauma of this war will haunt him. I hope he will be open and honest with Adam and tell him WHY he had the meltdown he had. It will also be necessary for Marc to help Adam understand how to help him when things go sideways. I also agree with @Al Norris. There MUST be compromise on both Marc and Adams parts. If Marc continues with "My Way or the Highway" attitude toward the family and Adam in particular, the future of Alexander Knight House is doomed. I ave faith that things will move forward but I also expect a few bumps in the gates as it happens 😇.

Marc questioning if he should have talked with Adam after the slaughter at Evelyns rock is positive sign that he has a SMALL clue to interactions with people. He and Adam and the two families are from very different worlds. The only way for them to understand each other is heart felt communications. Marc has grown up in a very small contained world where expectations of him have been exaggerated and frankly cruel. NO 21ish year old should ever have the expectation, rank and power of a Rear Admiral. He could be an advisor, but NOT the deciding voice. After this "War" is in recess he needs to take time to reflect, talk with Adam and explain his upbringing and feelings with raw honesty. Then, Adam needs to whisk Marc and the house marines away to a private and solitary planet or rock and explain Adams upbringing and views on life. THEN and ONLY then, both of them should begin to plot out the beginnings of their life as bonded mates. While doing this some mining in the private reserve with an escort of friends from both sides to help show both of them how life can be fun and challenging both ways. Maybe a ride on an old earth style Roller Coaster could make Marc need to change HIS skivvies 🤢!

I am still very worried that Marc is taking a very big bite out of space. Someone from the old earth past, around 1933 began to make an area that was under served a force to be respected. We all know how that worked out...... Yes, I am a 1/2 empty type of person, but I know how much I have left! This is a very good story, but the play has some sad acts..... I hope Romeo and Juliet fair better in this script.

Marc needs a brain reset for sure. He is one particle of space dust from starting a war he may not win. The board needs to put Marc on a timeout rock. Confed Navy is not helping with the promotions unless they demand he takes a desk on a miner for a while. Grandma Armstrong needs to rip the stars off Marcs collar and sit him and Adam in a mental health simulation until both get a clue and crawl back to the surface. I am VERY disappointed with Marcs actions 😢.

@P. E. Knapp, I am sorry for your pain. I hope you have people that understand and give you just the right amount of care, shoulders and love. My older brother does well most of the time. His wife and adult kids and grandkids all know the details and all know how to help and not push. PTSD is an evil condition and only understanding and care can help. Medication only masks the problem without giving any tools to deal with the thoughts, regrets, and pain in the long term. I found when we were younger and his condition was newer to us sometimes the best thing to help him was a simple game of chess. He said it forced his mind to work on a solution to a problem that required lots of forward thinking. He usually kicked my a$$, but the real game was won by all.

I thought more about the last two chapters and had some more thoughts. I know, that is dangerous 😇. This situation with Marc, Adam, Catlin and others is a very typical case of wartime PTSD. In Marcs case it appears that this is also a reoccurrence of an earlier battle. It seems that the earlier case very likely have hit both Marc and Catlin at the same time. These cases are all unique and require VERY careful handling. Marc should NOT be allowed to do this on his own. Hugo will be a good start as he is closer to Marc than any other person except maybe Tom. Adam needs to be brought into the loop slowly and with great professional advice. Marc is a ticking time bomb as shown by his simple threat of destroying the corporation if he does not get HIS way. That NEVER ends well for anyone. Hopefully Hugo can get the ball rolling and others can gently help. Adam will be the key even though, right now, he seems to be the problem. It would be nice if Adam could experience even part of Marcs pain. Maybe technology will allow Adam to silently ghost ride on Marcs implant and find out what Marc really needs from him. These things take time and like drug or alcahol abuse are never actually cured, but with help, understanding and a whole lot of love they can be kept way in the far distance. I have seen this in a close family member from the Vietnam war. He does very well 99.999% of the time, but that last .001% is hell and the only thing that helps is love.
