Jeff seems like he really is a very good person. Get him out of the environment he has had to live in all his life and he may become a very outstanding citizen. I have always thought that organized sports, especially football helps build character. Football more so because the teams are the largest of all the sports. More teammates to be around and bond. But really its not just sports, it can be any organization where you have to be part of a team. Marching band, Choirs, Key Clubs, anything that has structure and takes coaching, or responsibilities can help do that. I played footballs so that is my experience. I think it helped build me into a man. Our head coach was really hard on us during practice and we hated him then. But we really loved him. And it just wasn't the team I was on, but all the others that he coached. He passed away about 10 years ago or so. Some 30 + years after I graduated. I came from a small town. There was no church or chapel around my hometown that would hold all the people that were coming to his funeral so it had to be held in the Highschool Gymnasium/auditorium and then it was standing room only around the outsides. Not only was he a coach to a lot of us he was more of a father figure to some of the other guys that didn't have fathers that were active in their lives. I know for a fact he helped many a kids with warm coats, or shoes and other needs that they would have gone without if it had not been for him. I drove almost 450 miles to get back home to attend his funeral and some other a lot farther than that. So I would like to think that maybe sports helped Jeff be more of a better person than what his father ever did. I would like to think his coach had a lot to do with that too. I feel like Jeff is going to be taken care of now. Hopefully he does get that scholarship and gets a great education out of it. If he is an honor student then he should have no problem being one in college.

Mark I am reading this story almost 10 years after it was started. I fell in love with your story "Bridgemont" and it is now my favorite of all the stories on this site. But I really am enjoying this one too. So I have a long way to catch up to where you currently are with book 16 of this series. Thanks for all you and other writers do to keep us entertained like you do. Keep up the great work.

Me too!!!!! Long Time!!!!! That was a great Chapter. I have a feeling that Val is going to be a big and nice part of this story. I think he is a very good guy, and Brent may be have to admit that it was he was in the wrong, not Val. But maybe they can work it out.

I am just wondering if the cop had gotten Peter's wallet and identification before he cuffed him. I would figure that he would have searched him first and at least look in his wallet for identification. I don't know about back then, but today they are more looking for weapons before they cuff them. If the cop didn't, lets just hope that being caught off guard and the blow to the face and head will cause him to forget or have a complete blank of the last few hours so he can't remember the red hair or anything about Peter. I don't know if he got a glimpse of JP or not.

In chapter 1 of this current series Jonathan was brought by social services to Blu and told that Jonathan was his son. The lady gave Blu a letter written by Jonathan's mom to Blu before she died. After reading the letter Blu knew Jonathan was his flesh and blood. He first thought Jonathan might have been his Dad's son but after hearing the boy's mom's name and reading the letter he knew he was his kid.

That is what I also was assuming!

Bella's new love may make Blu actually love Sage! This has been on of the funniest chapters so far!

I totally agree with you on this. I also love Winkler. I always fear for his safety as he is so dedicated and loyal to Granger. He is my second favorite character only behind George. I want them all out of there and on the way back home as soon as possible.

I almost gave up on this story back around Chapter 4 or 5. I even commented that I was thinking seriously about it. But now I am glad I kept on reading. Ended up a great story.

Home Is Where The Heart Grows

Great chapter! That is going to be one spoiled kid! Glad to see Blu is warming up to Sage! -
I agree with you on Seth's Mom. Ever since that first time he met her and he had the weird feeling about her, I have wanted DomLuka to probe more into it. Would be funny if their Mom's were actually distant cousins.

I like Seth, but I really want Luke and Rory to get together! I know this is almost 9 years since you posted this. But I am just reading it.

Great Chapter Mark. Can't wait till the next one. I wish young von Galen was able to accompany Granger on the rest of his trip. I think they would be good together and great heat for each other on those cold, cold nights!

I have felt like that ever since the beginning when Rory moved in with the guys. Luke has had the hots for him ever since. If Rory would just open his eyes he could see it too. But Luke needed to said something as soon as Rory found out that they were not cousins or related in in way. Now that Luke thinks there might be something going on between Rory and Seth he will not make the move for sure.

I believe that Seth is a really good guy. I also believe that he has the hots for Rory and that is why he seemed to be jealous. I don't think they will become boyfriends, I believe Rory and Luke will get together. But Seth will become friends with both of them. Just my thoughts.

I agree, I started out really liking this story, but it seems each chapter it's the same dog chasing it's own tail. Rory is an idiot. But like you I just want to see what happens. But I don't know how much longer I will continue this. -
I think both Rory and Aaron both have a mental problems. And Seth seems just fucked up!

I am hooked! Great story!

Well I was pretty sure from the beginning that Eddie and Jase were a couple and also that Luke was gay too. And that Aaron is Luke's ex-boyfriend. Luke just couldn't tell Rory about Luke being his ex until everything was out about Eddie and Jase. None of the 3 Eddie, Jase, and Luke knew how Rory would react to any or all of them being gay. They didn't want to push him farther away than he already wanted to be from the beginning. I don't think it will go over to the 3 of them that Aaron has outed them to Rory.
