Great chapter, Com, I love it, and I did not expect that turn of events. I'm glad Kyle seems to be coming around, because I was wanting Kevin to ditch him and find better friends. I think he's right, though. Random hook-ups are great fun until you start wanting something more, and then you don't know where to look or how to find it. Kyle reminds me a bit of Robin from Billy Chase, except he's willing to accept the help. I don't have much hopes for Jason, though, my feeling is he'll slowly drift away from the group.

Another great chapter, Com, thank you so much for this! I'm not sure where things will go from here, but I'm optimistic that the bullying won't be as bad as Drew thinks. Ethan can hold his own, and it sounds like he has at least one friend in his corner, so I'd like to think they'll be okay. There's strength in numbers, after all. I don't think Ethan plans to keep that promise either.

Well, that escalated quickly. Leaving the compound is a bad idea to begin with because of Rage and the Elders, but I get where they're coming from. The more sensible thing to do would be to let them leave, it's not like the Jeweler doesn't have informants that can keep tabs on Justin while they're out. But it's too late for that, now Justin will dig his heels in like he often does. But at the same time, they are prisoners. I don't think the Jeweler would've been above taking them by force if Justin hadn't gone to him first. Another great chapter, I can't wait to see how this little exchange turns out.

Omigod, YES! That's why I like Com so much, almost every chapter has one of these gems that make you burst out laughing.

It looks like Zack had a breakthrough, I'm glad for that. This has been a long time coming. I think that, while doubts and fear can creep up on you and become 'part' of you, this is also true with hope and love, if you let them take root and grow. Zack is starting to realise this, that his "No ways" are turning into tentative maybes. I'm really hopeful that things turn out for the best, but there's always that risk of things going wrong. I agree, Tristan will need to be very careful with Scotty. I hope he's prepared, because what plans ever go perfectly? I know Tristan means well, but this could become a disaster if Scotty finds out about the plan before he can give Artie a chance. Besides, Tristan and Jesse can't keep their eyes off each other long enough to make this work. Great chapter, Com. I'm looking forward to the next one. But please don't hurt poor Scotty more than you have to, he's just too sweet to end up alone.

Exactly. I don't know what's so hard to understand about this. It's not a skill problem, it's an engagement and motivation problem (remembering my own time in school, what 16 year old wants to read "Wuthering Heights"?). Find the right books, and you'll be having arguments to get him to STOP reading.

Another great chapter, but it raises so many questions. The dream is confusing, but the thing with the circle makes me think that this could be a vision of Taryn's death. I've become increasingly certain that Justin will accidentally kill Taryn while trying to protect him from Alec, and the dream seems to support that theory. It could also mean that Alec managed to track them down and is on his way to attack the compound. As for the Jeweler, I think it's safe to say that they're hostages but don't know it yet. Of course, if Justin gets it into his head that they're leaving, he'll probably try to fight everyone that stands in his way, and that could be what the Jeweler wants. Leaving at this time would be a huge mistake. The Elders probably have people waiting to attack Justin the minute he sets foot outside the property, and even if that's not the case or they manage to escape, they'll be tracked down all the way to the lot and the whole gang will be in danger. Justin will also stop benefiting from whatever the Jeweler may be using to hide him from Alec. I get why they'll try to leave (and probably succeed), but if Justin stopped thinking about pleasing Taryn for one second, he'd realise that it's a terrible idea. Loved it, Com, I can't wait to see how it turns out!

What a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting this one. I think Johnny is starting to suspect something, but he looks like he'd be okay with it. Of course, there's also a part of me that believes Johnny is trying to set them up, so who knows? I've always found it a bit odd that he'd suddenly invite Andrew's "secret" crush to their little movie night. Or maybe Chris talked himself into an invite so he could get closer to Andrew? I have to say, I'm surprised that Andrew didn't make a mess in his pants when Chris was pushing against him. I bet that's going to make for a very steamy 'Andris' story. How long will it take for Chris to set up a movie night just for the two of them, I wonder? And at Chris's house, no less. So many questions just begging to be answered. I'm loving this.

That's what I was thinking as well. Unless there are still unblocked fire exits this could easily get shut down. I also don't understand the need for all that secrecy and security measures. I get wanting to keep the people safe, but I don't think this is the best way to do it.

I'm starting to think he'll find out from Artie after they meet and he'll be crushed. He's so adorable, I'm starting to move over to Team Scotty. Tristan Lynch has a nice ring to it.

Awww, poor Tristan. I'm sure Jesse will rock his world when they get some alone time. And poor Scotty. He's so deep in that crush of his that he's practically leading himself on. I feel kinda bad for him and I hope he'll do okay when he finds out his boy is already taken. (and I wonder how he'll react when he finds out who Tristan's friends are). That was a great chapter, Com, and I'm already looking forward to more.

This is a very engaging and compelling story. Some parts are harder to read than others, especially when Jason is a bit slow to see what's going on in front of him. It has very well-written characters, from the heroes who have their hearts in the right place to the villains, especially the main villain, who I found to be almost as memorable as he is easy to hate, and a happy ending for the good guys.

I don't know what to add to what all the other reviews have said, but this is definitely one of the best stories I've read on this site. A captivating journey full of ups and downs and characters that stayed with me long after I finished reading. I can't help but come back to this every once in a while, and I love it just as much as the first time around.

Com, why did you do that? Now we know how all your stories will end!

I almost stopped reading partway through because I felt bad for Dylan, but I'm glad I didn't and things are looking up. I know it was wrong to do it, but I'm glad Dylan went to spy on them because it stopped him from destroying their relationship before it even began.

I'm not an Apple fan myself, but at this point I think Comsie should look at getting a Macbook. Sure, it would suck to have to relearn how to do a lot of stuff, but I've never heard of Macs having these ridiculous data loss issues and general update-related problems that Comsie has with Windows 10.

Yeah, you might as well not have a computer at all when Windows updates decides to run. It's so incredibly frustrating, but at least your files are still there.

I don't know why, but I've got a bad feeling about this. Derrick's mom probably won't be happy about him setting this up behind her back, and she'll make Derrick spill the beans about Chris. She won't like having to lie in the interview either, but personally, I'm afraid it won't matter since she'll end up being late for one reason or another. That's my biggest worry at the moment. Anyway, another great chapter, feels like something big is about to happen. I can't wait!

Wow, this took an unexpected turn, but I love it! At least something good came out of his crass attempt at hooking up. I'm looking forward to Kevin finally being rid of those two losers he calls friends. They did say they'd ditch him if nothing happened, after all. But even if they don't, if I was Kevin I wouldn't want anything to do with the two people who almost ruined the best thing to ever happen to me. Another great chapter, Com.

Another solid chapter, so glad to see Brody hasn't given up. I feel like something is about to give. Not sure how it'll play out, but that call is getting made, I think.

Well that was fun. It's good to see Tristan get more confident and comfortable with the idea of being 'out'. I also love his reaction when he realised he pretty much confirmed his mother's suspicions. I wonder if Jesse will pull a Tanner on us and arrange a dinner at Tristan's place without his knowledge... Another great chapter, Com, I'm just sad that this looks like the beginning of the end for one of my favourite stories.
