    Chapter 7

When the whole antagonist protagonist "we arent that different" trope is agreed upon by both parties. I love it!

    Chapter 6

Lord Baldric had me a captive audience. I can only imagine how Kotik must have felt being in the middle of all this. By the way, breaking in a virgin while the estate listens... not the way I would have liked to be broken, but damn if that didnt make the kitty blush...

    Chapter 5

Armes Katze. The little kitty is in need of love, and I do believe he has found it and so much more.

    Chapter 3

I love working with hard magic systems. I tried to include a more soft system in one of my series, and honestly, I try to avoid the magic that I created because it feels too... vague.

    Chapter 4

Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and run. Or, you know, blow up in an agonizing ball of steaming ice.

    Chapter 2

You actually hit the nail right on the head. Why would a being need multiple pairs of ears? What purpose would the extra pair serve, other than making it obvious that the character is not human. But looking at it that way actually makes a lot of sense.

    Chapter 3

Magical theory has always fascinated me, and the idea of enhancing the body's natural abilities to ease learning while still speeding it along is a great use of magic. I can't wait to see what else these collars can do

    Chapter 2

I have to say, it took me a bit to pick this up (mainly because I absolutely abhor four eared nekos) but this is a great story so far. Can't wait to read on!
  9. Blood poured from Jakun's hands, Anya's blood, Aofe's blood, Jeremy's blood, all mixing together in a lake that threatened to consume the catfolk. "No… please…" The whimper drew him toward a window that appeared in a thick black fog… a dream? Or a vision? Either way, Jakun moved, silently floating above a ground he couldn't see. He saw a catfolk standing over a corpse, arcane words pouring from his lips. The body rose, a groan of air escaping its lips as it straightened. Jakun gasped
  10. So would I to be honest. Guess that's another project incoming.
  11. Galen stared at the knife in Reinard's hand, the Faro twirling it on a finger. The tiger was nervous; the water around them was choppy, and he knew that knife was razor sharp. "Do you really think you should be playing with a knife after-" Reinard scowled, gripping the hilt of the blade tightly. "Okay, okay, fine. But if I get stabbed by a flying dagger, I'm blaming you," Galen said, holding up his hands in a gesture of peace. He was going to have a talk with Themis, as soon as t
  12. Three tigers carried them into Graydirge, Jeremy's shoulders rolling as he tried to stretch. Sixteen hours of riding had left him far too sore, and he couldn't wait to get to a tavern and relax. "What is this place?" Amnor Sen frowned, looking at the thick walls of the buildings around them. "Ossuaries," Jakun replied. "The dead lay in the walls, serving their nation without undeath." Jeremy shuddered, imagining ghosts haunting the city. "I don't like it here," he muttered, his h

    Chapter 7

That remains to be seen. For now, he is a walking cat bomb. Let's hope something can be done to change that.

    Chapter 7

JASON The sound of quiet beeps greeted Jason when he woke up. His body ached as though he had just gone toe to toe with a werewolf. A soft, almost questioning whimper breached his ear, and his head turned painfully to find Devyn at his side. The wolf was wearing a strange white coat, one that covered every inch of his body. A biohazard symbol sat on the side, and Jason gulped. He was sick… really sick… Slowly, the neko realized his arms were covered in tubes, fluid slowly seeping into h
  15. He spent the rest of the night afraid to go back to sleep. The images he had seen, the dreams of his segal being blown up… Reinard couldn't go through that, not again. Beside him, Galen slept with no issue, the tiger curled up around a pillow. He was snoring quietly, almost, dare the fox say, adorably. Reinard was jealous of the cat, of his freedom from nightmares. He hadn't been so close to ending his life before. And Reinard looked back on his outburst with a mixture of fear and shame.

    Chapter 32

So, my posting schedule seems to have crossed wires and posted twice this morning. I apologize for any problems this causes.
  17. "So Jakun…" The cat glanced up from his writing, a small frown on his face. Did Jeremy not understand he needed to translate the spell every time he wrote a scroll? Probably not; Jakun doubted the cleric could speak anything beyond Taldane and rather messy Kellish. They sat on a bent tree, the inside of the druid's house a showcase for oddly shaped plants. Paper rested on a surprisingly solid mushroom, the cleric and the mage writing together in a botanist's dream house. "Tell me, ho
  18. Two days in, Amnor Sen recalled what the druid had said. A day's flight. He was starting to wonder about Lynaq's sanity. At least they were still heading in the right direction to make it out of the woods. "I don't think we're going to get your wood, kitten," the elf sighed as they walked, sparing the mounts. Jakun shrugged, the cat's tail flicking. Amnor Sen wasn't sure if that was resignation or frustration. "Well, we did find that one tree," Jeremy said. "Maybe we can find another
  19. He could hear the howls of wolves in the distance, Anya appearing beside him. "They must be on the hunt," she said quietly, reading the sound. Nearly six hours into his watch, a spell kept Jakun awake. If he got into a fight with wolves, did anything more strenuous than watching over his companions, the spell would fail, and he would be left to face the next day with no sleep. "How far are they?" he asked, reaching for his bow. "Maybe a mile? Two? Not far enough," the werewolf sh
  20. Galen slipped into bed an hour after the fox, making sure to stay on his own side of the bed. Reinard looked adorable, curled up in a little ball on the bed, tiny snores escaping him. Galen couldn't help admire the Faro, his body so tiny yet so perfect. The tiger shook his head, trying to get rid of that thought. They were roommates, nothing more, and lusting over the Faro would only end in disaster. Pulling a pillow into his chest, Galen sighed as he spooned the fluffy object. He was ex

    Chapter 29

This is set in the main world of the Pathfinder TTRPG. So the whole thing is a D&D setting
  22. The woods enveloped them, dead branches covering the road, ancient tree trunks forcing the road to wind. This wood was a relic from ages past, a casualty of the war between the archmage Nex and the lich Geb. Two individuals had scarred the land permanently in their squabbling, and the forest was left to suffer for it. Amnor Sen held his glaive as they rode, glancing around them warily. He didn't trust this silence. They had started out before dawn, taking just enough time for Jakun and Jerem

    Magic

It has, and I really need to work on it, but Jakun has stolen my heart and my focus... for now...
  24. As my story has been called into this, I would like to suggest another story I am working on. The Nekromancer is about a catfolk who is learning to navigate the world after being freed from his master. Due to the effects of his magic, and the way he has been brought up, he does have a hard time with morality.
  25. His entire body hurt. "Damn you Anya…" Jakun gasped, his eyes opening to a darkened world. The phantom didn't respond. Not that he expected her to. She rarely talked when he was angry. He still had to deal with what she'd done to him though. "Still in pain?" Jeremy asked, startling him. Jakun nodded, wincing at the motion. "lasau nurocuirgarh calti…" he groaned, hearing the tiniest meow near his feet. Rolling over, Jakun let out a grateful sigh as tiny, invisible paws wal
