I wouldn't exactly call him sheltered. But he definitely has some growing up to do.

His eyes followed the tiger's motions in amazement, taking in kick after punch after trip. Reinard flinched as Iason slammed the brown Egaro to the pad, the thud nearly shaking the ring they fought in. "Why doesn't he give up?" "That's a she. And she will. But if you see, Iason left himself open there," Galen pointed out. "What's the difference?" Reinard frowned. "Between he and she, I mean…" "Mainly the cock and vag," Galen shrugged. "Did you not research before you got here?"

Jeremy held up the wand, energy flowing into the intricately carved stick. With the head of a snarling cat and a spiky tail that wrapped around the length, Jeremy knew he'd never mistake it as a peaceful tool. It was perfect for the violent spell required to heal any physical injuries Jakun might have. As the cleric cast his spell into the wood, sealing the power away for later, Amnor Sen stood, stretching his legs. A day of sitting around was almost painfully boring, even with his whittling

His bag was weighed down, heavy with food. Jakun slid a new bottle of ink into the canvas, tucking it into a secure pouch next to a pen. He hoped Amnor Sen wouldn't be mad about the extra ten gold he'd spent for the ink. It would be simple to write out a scroll for the paladin to replace the money. "You really need to stop worrying about upsetting him," Anya said beside him. "That's easier said than done," Jakun replied, pulling a wool cloak over his shoulders. "Are we really going to do

Galen sat on the cold floor, the chill of the ocean around him battling his nerves. He could see the glow of the Cnidarian, the luminous eyes staring at him hungrily through the metallic glass. It was his first encounter with the beast, though he'd grown up hearing stories of tigers eaten alive. Galen knew the ocean was dangerous; he always took caution. But there had been no warning. If it weren't for Reinard, he would likely be dead. And it scared him half to death. Rising unsteadily, Gale

They left the group early in the morning, travelling toward the woods that grew ever more clear. Tall dead trees barred the entrance, a shadow covering the pathway within. Amnor Sen got a chill just looking at the dead woods. "This is a fell wood for sure," he sighed as he and Jeremy drew near. Pulling their horses to the side of the road, the two dismounted, Jeremy starting to set up camp as Amnor Sen pulled out the few rations that remained. "Do you think Jakun will get here before

A knife slid over a slice of bread, Reinard sighing as he prepared a sandwich. He hoped he'd gotten the food right. The last thing the Faro wanted was to accidentally be eating fish eggs or something. The jelly looked okay, a white, near translucent spread that didn't seem too lumpy. The fox prayed that it wasn't cum. But why would s jar of cum be here? He was being ridiculous. Reinard added a strip of salted meat, frowning at the rubbery feel of the food. "You don't want to eat that."

Jakun shut the door to the pyramid quietly, his eyes working to adjust to the magic enhanced gems that lit the interior. He knew this was a bad idea, no, a terrible idea. This place radiated evil, and despite his actions, the amurrun didn't want to be truly evil. Still, Anya seemed to think this was the best place for them. His collar still hung around his neck, a cheap yet effective marking, declaring him a slave. He held onto the rope gladly here, in this place where people and souls were

DEVYN His legs twitched in his sleep, and Devyn raced after Jason in his dreams. The wolf was happy running after his brother, smelling the joy coming from the neko. But suddenly that joy turned to anger. Jason turned to kick at the wolf. The air filled with fluff, white clouds of filling falling around them as Devyn whimpered, a stuffed wolf falling headless from his jaws. The wolf whined, retreating under his brother's rage. He didn't understand. Jason loved the wolf and Devyn brought t

"You don't expect any of the money to come back to you, right?" Amnor Sen let out a sigh, shaking his head. "It is a test. Nothing more, nothing less. He has three scrolls and a weapon for self defence. If he decides to use any gold he makes for a room, so be it." He pointed to a thin column of smoke against the twilight sky. "I believe that is our cue to pause for the night." "Great, I'm starving," Jeremy replied, nudging his horse toward the smoke. As they drew toward a

Yeah, eventually they will have to figure stuff out. Hopefully it won't take too long; the longer resentment builds, the worse it tends to get.

Galen set his tablet aside, removing his earband. He'd heard everything, the volume of the video low. And despite Iason's perfection in the video, Galen couldn't focus. He wasn't a child. Why would Reinard think that? "I'm finished," he announced. "Great," Themis said. "I have a few things to discuss with Pasiphaë. Why don't you head home and come back around eight Hephaestus time tomorrow morning." The Egaro nodded, glancing at Reinard. He wasn't sure what the Faro's problem was, an

We all have our quirks. I would say hopefully with time she'll get over them, but she's already had all the tome in the world to learn to overcome judgement. Clearly it wasn't enough time.

'Careful Anya… careful…' 'You want me to be careful, shut the hells up…' The werewolf's hand slid over a counter, knocking off a pair of ink vials. The thick glass fell into her other hand as she ducked, one laying on the floor as Anya stowed her prize. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Jakun exclaimed as the shop owner hurried over. He stooped down, picking up the fallen vial and handing it to the skeleton. "Wasn't there a vial of red ink too?" the skeleton asked in a clattering voic

I'm sure that's the only reason he won't run too...

They rode through the city at a trot, Jakun bouncing in front of Amnor Sen. Zephyr held them both with little trouble, the horse even helping the amurrun sit on his back. Amnor Sen felt something had happened to the horse. He seemed sharper, more intelligent. Moving through the city, it was almost like Zephyr was guiding the group safely around any who meant them harm. He gently stroked his horse's neck, a smile lining his face. How Zephyr had learned to do that was beyond him, an amazing tr

"I think that's enough for today," Pasiphaë said. The Faro turned off the camera, the tablet next to it full of video he had been recording. Reinard let out a yawn as Pasiphaë picked up the tablet. Six hours of training was rough, especially since he had no real idea what he was doing. He was learning quickly, but his head hurt now. "It's a good start," Pasiphaë mentioned neutrally. "But you'll need to work on your aim a bit more. We want to focus on the groin, not avoid it." "Right…

He was up not long after dawn, a candle burning on the desk beside him. Jakun stared at the scroll beside him, his eyes burning in exhaustion. But he was awake all the same, a quill in hand and fresh ink filling a page in his workbook. A second book sat before him, filled with necromantic energy. None of the spells within were evil, as far as he could tell. And yet, both he and Anya could feel the malicious intent within the book. It was supposed to be a simple tome, one a hedge magician cou

Themis set a sheaf of papers into a folder, smiling at Galen. "Congratulations, you are officially in the films. Let me explain how this works. Tomorrow we will place you with another actor, depending on your preference of course. We all know you aren't a virgin, but people like to pretend. So, we'll introduce you through a sort of… virgin breaking video. Daphne and Iason are both good at these videos, and Iason actually has a reputation among certain circles as a virgin breaker." Galen

Jeremy's eyes widened as Jakun fell. The cat had just shot a dragon point blank in the face. Without any alcohol to calm his nerves. He was fast becoming a legend in Jeremy's eyes. As the cleric watched, the dragon roared, destroying the pyramid as he thrashed about. Suddenly, the dragon vanished, as though teleported out of the city… or summoned… "I just saw that… right?" Jeremy demanded. Amnor Sen was too busy catching the falling amurran, Jakun collapsing in his arms. Jeremy didn'

No one is ever truly indestructible. Something people should really remember more often.

"You're holding it wrong." Amnor Sen frowned as he watched Jakun. The paladin was helpless here, with his reach hindered by his weapon. And Jakun clearly had no idea how to use the bow he'd been given. The amurrun strained at the weapon, his arms burning as he nearly pried the bowstring away from the arms of the weapon. He focused on Ivris, even as his arms shook desperately. With a cry, of pain and vengeance, Jakun let the string loose, screaming as it tore across his forearm and ripped

Lian curled up against Itumak, the neko snoring gently behind him. The guilt kept eating away at him, his mind forcing him to relive the failure of the day. And every other time he had said that word. They hadn't had sex. For Itumak, that was almost unheard of. His wolf was always hungry for the touch of his mate. Yet that one little word had made him back off. He still poured affection and love on Lian, but that only made the Daknar feel worse. Like the neko had given up his enjoyment so Li

Reinard- Making Friends
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in Reinard- Making Friends
A hug certainly would have been nice. But a hug from a strange tiger, however nice she seems... a Faro has to be on guard, always. -
The boat pulled up to a pier, Reinard scrambling out ahead of the others. He stretched as his head swiveled, taking in a palatial building, white walls shining in the midday sun. "One thing about porneos, they're generally only one story tall. That way you don't hear the thump of tigers mating over your head," Themis pointed out. "Yeah… that would be bad," Reinard agreed. "To each their own, but when we're filming, we don't want extra noise we'll have to edit later," Themis continued
