Just make sure 'ALL Perils' insurance is in place and make it look like accident. Creosote buildup in fireplace chimney could cause fires. Old gas appliances and 'faulty' electrical in old cottage that Realtor Chester signed off as "inspected" and in food condition (NOT "As Is) could cause 'unforeseen' conflagration. Being in rural Cats Kills means volunteer firefighters arrive in time to save the foundation. All of the above scenarios don't take into consideration evil spirits that might fight back.

And Lucy's wasn't all 'that' natural as she said in her later years (to Johnny Carson et al). Is this more: Is Connor's unique 'change' the result of a perfect storm with a confluence of everything hitting at the same time? Sorry, you'll have to speak up. Not herring so good.

WTH? There's still much more going on with and IN that house. The 'grime' on the inside of the windows is from an evil spirit spewing on the them as it is trapped. Chester is holding out important information and Coop needs to put the fear of Law, (worse than 'The Fear of God'), into him. If the place is haunted, then somebody died.

A sad chapter @CLJobewith Roger departing, but the serene smile on his face is evidence he slipped away peacefully. Armand spends time "chatting" with Roger in the mausoleum on the knoll, where Carl has added the first of many angels. GG 🐦 shows Roger happily with Arnaud and Jean. Colin saying: ”I really feel tired tonight” means he needs to get a checkup at the doctor, just to be safe. Richie will insist, while Tommy, Ronnie and Ivan will make sure Armand gets checked too. Changes at the trailer park means some space opening up at Angel's Home. Thank you Cal. 🫂

Didn't say if it was 'garden variety' cuke 🥒 (ave 15 - 20cm 6 - 8") or long 'English Cucumber' (30-40cm / 12 - 14") which normally comes sheathed in plastic. (NOT condom substitute). As for dildos, older sailing ships had wooden Ash or Rock Maple hard wood 'pegs' aka 'belaying pins' mounted on gunwales (side rails) to attach, tie down ropes. Traditionally, they are movable and of different lengths from 10 - 18 inches and varying circumferences. Just throwing info out there.

Armand will have Carl to help painting angels in and on the RR&F Mausoleum. Internal and external lighting will showcase 'Archangel Saints': Gabriel (God's messenger); Raphael (healer who used "extraordinary fish" to heal); and Michael (Protector) keeping watch, and some wings may glow in the dark. Plus a bluebird, 🐦 and the gentle echo of a rocking chair. 🫂 PS: Because it's late on Friday, and been that kind of week, I didn't properly attach it. There is an excellent book that's something of a primer on things you need to know (but put off for whatever reason). It sells for around $18 U.S. online or from select retail booksellers. Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart by Gordon Livingston 'Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart', by Dr. Gordon Livingston, MD is an interesting set of reminders on life from someone who’s gone through more emotional hardship than most of us ever will. Some topics might feel familiar, other topics new, but it’s definitely worth reading through.

What 🤯 ! Only two ways Armand and Colin 'depart' at the same time; either an accident (plane crash or fishing boat sinking, and NO WAY you would include collateral 💑🏼 losses), or heart attacks in bed from exertion (because they're ... Older). UNLESS they "meet" GG in a shared dream? Not time for cliff hangers @CLJobe. 🫂

Another thought provoking chapter, and a day early too! Is Sam's killer someone who stood to benefit (directly or indirectly) from Sam's late grandmother Charlotte's Estate until they realized Sam was frittering away the money on drugs, and that there would be nothing left? Safe travels @Libby Drew.

Suspect you two must have been what my grandfather called "a hoot" at recess when you were just kids (pups?) in school! Let alone at Halloween with all those sugary treats. Or is this (weird, strange, funny) give and take only recent as you're "mature" adults?

Or, (historically speaking) victors in wars / conflicts and wealthy or 'important persons ' get to write their own endings? I do recall when Vincent Astor's widow Brooke Astor was in her final years (in NYC 2006) there was a intra-family fight, between U.S. and UK Astor's over remaining inheritance of approx $15 Million left from JJA 'family'. The 1912 courts ruled in favour of the "first hand positive identification of his 'uncrushed' body by his personal yacht captain" to settle immediate inheritance. "Lost at Sea" would have tied up the 'American' Astor estate for decades. And so it goes.
-
In the aftermath, ships were sent out to retrieve the bodies from the site of the sinking; of the 1,517 passengers and crew who perished in the sinking, only 333 bodies were ever recovered. Astor's body was recovered on April 22 by the cable ship Mackay-Bennett.[4] Astor was identified by the initials sewn on the label of his jacket. Among the items found on him was a gold pocket watch, which his first son Vincent claimed and wore the rest of his life.[26] Captain Richard Roberts, the commander of Astor's yacht 'Noma', said that apart from some slight discolouration by water, Astor's features were mostly unharmed; Gerald Ross, an electrician on the Mackay-Bennett, reported that Astor's "face was swollen, one jaw was injured." Astor was buried in Trinity Church Cemetery in Manhattan, New York City. (His DNA was matched to that of his first son Vincent and second son John Jacob 'Jakey' born to his surviving widow Madeleine Astor, four months after Titanic sank. Trace DNA also matched to his grandson William Backhouse Aston III, (Jakey's son).

When @drpaladin said "The Great Spirit works in mysterious ways" he may have remembered what was written about John Jacob Astor IV. His American Fur Company nearly wiped out beavers in North America, which AFC fashioned into 'Gentlemen's long beaver coats, worn by the wealthy, elite and royalty'. Did 'The Great Spirit' use karma that sent Astor to a watery grave when the RMS Titanic sank? Reports were that after putting his pregnant wife into the 2nd last lifeboat, (that saved her and her unborn son Vincent) Astor appeared on deck, "dressed to the nines, including a full length beaver fur coat to ward off the freezing weather". That heavy beaver pelt coat would have dragged him down into the water. 🦫

Because of his work at Le Louvre and his connection to Arnaud, I'm not surprised that a arrangements were made for Jean to be provided a crypt or niche for his casket or urn inside the mausoleum. I am still disappointed Christian has not made time to visit Pierre in the U.S. and apologize for the way he was treated, but at least Arnaud provided for his future life. Roger will be joining Jean, Arnaud, Grandmere Lavigne and GG 🐦 soon at a Heavenly Gallery, with access to great works of art long since vanished from Earth. Perhaps over glasses of Bordeaux 🍷. But before he departs, he has made some budding Crayon child artists at Angel's Home proud with his 'official' recognition of their drawings: "approved by Professor Steinor, Yale University". As a lawyer, Colin should have put his and Armand's plans, Wills, Estate etc. in place; especially since it includes law firm, businesses (the Club, Gallery), Angel's Home, Trusts etc.. Not to mention their direct children and grandchildren PLUS their extended family of children at Angel's Home. Nobody likes to think about the inevitable, as it can happen anytime (and without a Will, the Government and Taxman get first crack at everything - boo! 👹 ). Thanks for this heart-touching chapter Cal @CLJobe, and your kind words. 🫂

Thank you @chris191070 for GABO (Great American Bake Off), succeeding where the 2013 American Baking Competition failed to 'rise' to the challenge. A yummy story. 🍴🎂

Sorry for delay in posting my thanks for yet another outstanding chapter Andre. Ryan and Andrew have definitely given 'Lodging Inn' and 'SA Yachting Monthly' editor Michael Gibsons something to write about; which will no doubt increase demand for charters on their marvelous Lady Janice. Her appearance at both Knysna and Mossel Bay YC set many tongues wagging and photos being posted on social media. Looking forward to coming chapters (something to do aside from recovery and physiotherapy after 'minor' ab surgery tomorrow). Hope all is well in the Cape. À votre Santé. 🍷

Showdown at the OK Corral dinner table, turned into "teaching an old wolf (dog) new tricks", and forging a new way forward for many.

WOW @kbois Coming " into the light", Asa and Caleb will combine their new 'beings' to heal Hybrid Pups, including the pair Corbin Taylor rescued. If both shift into 'Light' beings, can their 'forces' join together to become stronger? Next?

EPISODE 15: THE KING'S KNIGHT
Anton_Cloche commented on LJCC's story chapter in EPISODE 15: THE KING'S KNIGHT
Greg has every right to be "... not a trusting soul." His latest "employer" is trying to blackmail him into compliance, however being gay when it's an open 'secret' isn't much to blackmail. What has happened to Dr. Nathan? Surely he's discovered Brady and Greg's father (along with Greg) are missing, and contacted police? As for Greg getting enough £€$ money to quit and go back to his family and Nathan isn't an easy option. Agents don't "retire" from MI6. At least not 'specialist' agents. He has to keep track of the 'secrets' he knows and people who he can manipulate to help him "retire" without a target on his back, or his loved ones. -
NO apologies needed or required my friend. Ever. This site* is for authors, whether they be 'new' budding ones or accomplished ones like yourself, to post stories and (hopefully) get feedback. Comments that may helpful to both authors and readers. Stay well Cal. 🫂

"I Marcel, a Gault Millau* Chef" is a brilliant idea. Often a chef will assign a special task to his most promising assistant. This book is something Marcel would have approved of (and perhaps 👨🏼🍳 will visit James in his sleep?). Thank you Cal @CLJobe. 🫂 * Gault et Millau is a French restaurant guide. Founded by two restaurant critics, Henri Gault and Christian Millau in 1965, it is seen as THE guide to 'Nouvelle Cuisine' vs Michelin Guide's focus on more 'traditional' cuisine. https://fr.gaultmillau.com
