Wow. Now that I've gotten past the 24 out of 55 comments that have nothing to do with this story, I can say it was a great chapter. I'm looking forward to see what is ahead for Matt and Andrew. Both are in precarious places.
I wonder for poor Matt, if he'll wish for the devil-he-knows once they get to their destination.
And Andrew is living on a knife edge, trying to get close to these kind of criminals. He needs to take great care.
tim often has food in his stories ... it's kind of his thing. he cooks for the three of us most days. he looks after Dan and I very well.
You mention there is hope. That's something in the ether at the moment. We don't know much about Matt other than his choice of Danny as a friend was poor. Tomas and Ralf are low life hoods, doing the worst of jobs to make money.. exploiting others through trafficking. However, this is common place in our world, though luckily most people don't see it.
Excellent start as Reader says. When are you posting this btw? Wednesdays only or??
You are no burden, rick. It's good to see you and know you're doing better. Thank you for that. tim has mentioned several times he's concerned about you.
Take your time and heal. I hope all goes well for you.
It was. He wrote six books, he did a lot in his life. Married to his wife for 69 years...she's doing okay. He cooked on a cruise ship, owned a car wash, was a DJ, a puppeteer, did some stand-up. A prize winning ad man, writer, creative director, agency owner. Author. Earned a degree in creative writing from John's Hopkins. Taught writing at the University of Toronto. He loved people and learning.
An amazing man.
I don't believe I can add much to what other reviewers have said. However, I want to mention that I enjoyed the accurate portrayal of the police and their procedures. These were very well done and correct.
This story is a journey of faith, morality, discovery and love. Jamie goes through highs and lows but does not stray off the path he's destined to walk.
I highly recommend.
An excellent piece of writing and a great entertainment. tim mentioned you've recently decided to write fiction. This is an excellent story. What an accomplishment. Congratulations.
Excellent. Jamie is left in a difficult position. Which option does he choose as both are untenable? And you leave your readers uncomfortable on their edge of their seats. Well done.
