As an Ex-Traffic Cop I'm here to tell you speeding does count as breaking the law. I'd have stopped you most likely and we'd have had a heart to heart about that. I'd then have to check up on you for priors and see just how naughty you've been. Depending on how badly you've broken the law, I'd give you a ticket or a warning. Tsk Tsk, K! LOL.

The majority of us are grateful for that. It's that thinking that's brought us 50 stories (with more on the way) and 9 books of amazing poetry. This chapter as well, excellent. I am looking forward to tomorrow.

A wonderful chapter. So much going on with Andy and his life. It'll be nice to visit with his parents again. He finally made the decision to end things with Tony. Though he knew what would happen he still did the right thing by calling the man. It shows he has some class. Then we have Ahmet and Matthew. Oh, this seems so ill-fated. I feel for them both and their lives. Things do not look good for either of them. Bring on the next chapter ASAP.

Our life has ups and downs, but I wouldn't change it or you. Now, about this story... Another wonderful chapter. You make us feel for these characters. As @Al Norris mentioned, life only in darkness or light is skewed. You have lived in both and your writing reflects that. Your characters are rounded and neither all good or all evil. I am looking forward to the rest of this incredible story.

I read your comments several times. The way you write and the words you choose, make you sound angry and full of spite. Based on comments that come after yours, it seems several others feel the same way. Are you so full of spite/ anger? If so, why do you read this? If we are all wrong, perhaps that is something to think about.

Excellent chapter once again. Andrew is in a bit of denial it seems, but father knows best. At least Andrew has the sense to listen and will stay with his parent for a bit of TLC. Matthew must tread carefully. He's a world away from anyone and anything he knows and understands. Following Dante's advice is the smart thing now, do what you need to do and jump when there's opportunity. Must we wait until Wednesday???

Excellent chapter. I, like others am interested in the cost to Andrew for this insane visit. Black is based on a vile human being. His beliefs, I don't think I should mention here, so horrific are they. I'm a very patient man but I had to leave the interview room to take a break because I frankly, didn't think I could restrain myself for much longer. It's sometimes hard to believe there are people like this, so evil, so dead inside, but they walk among us everyday. I look forward to reading more about Matt and Andrew.

Great chapter. Andrew's parents are understandably concerned about what he is going to do. Should he have spoken to a lawyer about this plan? Yes I think so. Would he be considered an accomplice? I'd leave that up to a lawyer. It's a crazy plan. But in my years as a police officer, I saw more insane people with crazy plans than I care to recall. Never underestimate what a human being may do. Looking forward to meeting Andrew's host, Mr. Black.

Possibly, depending on the country you're in. In International waters if the crime took place on a ship, then it would be under the jurisdiction of the territory where the vessel is registered. In Ontario where we live, for the general public it is not a crime to not report a crime. Professionals such as doctors, lawyers and social workers have a duty to report. Failing to do so can result in loss of their license and possibly more. There are other situations involving people under 16 and elderly people, when you would be required to report. The smartest option if you're not sure would be to speak with a lawyer.

Another excellent chapter that leaves the reader wondering what's to come. Thankfully, we know those answers are coming soon. Andrew seems to think obeying the rules will protect him. It's a crap shoot as to whether that's true or not. Looking forward to what's next.

I enjoyed this chapter. I don't have much to add to all of the excellent comments here today. There are some sleuths in this crowd. Turning to @kbois and @Mikiesboy writing together. I'd like advance warning before that begins please.

You say there are more questions than answers and there have been no clues. Re the first question: There's a rather large clue in the title which might cause some readers to surmise there is some buying and selling going on. Given what we know about Matt and Andrew, it's a logical step to think Andrew may buy Matt. There are other possible meanings as well, but that's why some people might say such a thing. Turning to your second question: Obviously, Andrew isn't hurting for money, but perhaps since he stopped publishing for what was it? Three years, while he worked to get close to these traffickers. He had to live, and pay his housekeeper at the very least. Based on that those few facts, we may be able to assume he is no longer as wealthy. Why is he writing a book about human trafficking? That answer was in chapter two. He'd become interested in the topic after reading an article on the subject. In connection with your third question, I believe the author replied to that. It is quite true that many criminals of any type are still human. Often their criminal lives are hidden from the people they love. I won't continue as @Mikiesboy did reply in-depth to you. I hope the above is helpful.

Wow. Now that I've gotten past the 24 out of 55 comments that have nothing to do with this story, I can say it was a great chapter. I'm looking forward to see what is ahead for Matt and Andrew. Both are in precarious places.
