    Dream

I'm just smiling. Wishing you all, the best.
  3. Yes, it is on the list as is some no sugar ginger ale.
  4. tim convinced me that we need to be prepared, not panic, not prep, not sit on 80 packages of toilet paper, or 100 cases of water, but if one of us or both get this, or the flu even we need to have things in. So we've got stuff we can use for about 15 to 20 days. I always resisted this, but it does make sense, if we both are ill, no one wants to go shopping. So we're good. I think both tim and I need to sleep more. We will have to work on that.
  5. Thanks Wayne … everyday, no matter what, is worth it. It's a commitment and it shouldn't be taken lightly. If you don't want to work at it, then don't bother to marry. But you know all about that.
  6. Thanks for you comments, Parker.
  7. Thanks chris .. 22 years.. congratulations, that's a wonderful thing. You two can be proud of that.
  8. Thanks very much, Kitt. You're right..
  9. Thanks very much, molly.
  10. Thanks, Thorn … we do and while it isn't all good all the time … it is always worth it. Thank you.
  11. Thanks, chris. You know yourself marriage is work (I hope I am recalling correctly here, that you're married). Commitment is a choice. One that we both made when we got married. There have been challenges but as tim said once, if we decide to end things, rather that work to make it right, then all those years together are a waste. The first years are harder, but it seems to get better the more we practice. Thanks again.
  12. Thank you, rick. you are right, of course.

    Family Ties

My subs/boys/tim, call me Michael which I prefer to Sir, when we are not alone. Others, friends/family for example, call me Mike, spelled the dull, unpretentious way. LOL.
  14. I understand that. I could share some stories with you and I'm not an author. However, you did influence some in a good way. Be happy in that my friend. A small, yet partial victory.
  15. Thank you, Brayon. It's kind of you to say so.
  16. Sounds like a great evening. Don't get hit with any bill boards on your way home!! Have a wonderful time!
  17. Thanks Reader. He makes me smile too .. thanks for your comment xoxo
  18. Not my first rodeo either … but I will say no more here.
  19. That was irritating but as Wayne says, not unexpected.
  20. It's a funny thing, marriage. We go through life together my husband and I. We work, commute, shop, watch TV, cook, eat, shower, make love, laugh, talk and all the other things we do, together each day. Often by rote. Often without a lot of thought. I care for him during those times he is in the troughs of depression. When he's ill. When he's afraid. During the nights when nightmares of the past haunt him. It's my duty as his partner to be there for him. It isn't a chore, it's a privilege to be married to him, and to be there for him. But life is filled with cycles. We go through them and sometimes I just wake up and see him. Who he really is and what he means to me. In those moments I know what love is. And it's so intense it takes my breath away. As I fall in love with him all over again.

The laws here differ from yours likely. I'm glad you survived that idiot. I'm not sure what happens to some once they are behind the wheel. Driving a car is a skill, it is not a right. And people should remember just exactly what can happen. Lives can be lost and forever changed. There are few reasons really, for the 'accidents' that happen. Most could be avoided if we just took care and left our rage at home. It has no place on the road.

    Family Ties

Oh the stories I could tell. Like yesterday … guy was at the front of the left turn lane … I was beside him at the intersection. Light changed for us, I move ahead in my lane. Dick for brains, decides to floor it, swerve in front of me before just missing the cement median. I had to slam on the brakes. Sometimes I miss being a cop. But yes, they know better than the authorities who block off unsafe roads. Time to start charging people for being rescued when they go through blockades etc. You will pay for your stupidity.

Then even more of a reason to close them. Hard enough driving without snow and ice.

Actually, an inch or two of snow is far more dangerous to drivers and pedestrians than you may think. And I'll tell you why. It's simple, two inches is not twelve inches. SO? Well, people don't take care driving in two inches, but they do if there are twelve on the ground. And, let me tell you, two inches on the road or sidewalk is slippery, but people don't realize it until it is too late. A lot of accidents happen in only two inches of snow. I know because I attended many an accident scene. It's worse still if those two inches occur rarely. But even here, where snow in winter is normal, people seem to forget annually that they need to drive more carefully; differently, and they need snow tires.
