tim's Bits and Pieces - 55. Today

I feel the isolation and loneliness you speak of so eloquently. All my students are gone, and I have to teach them online. It’s not at all the same. I cannot sit with you, but we share the emptiness of our enforced solitude. 

Great words as always tim. I think they sum it up perfectly, what everyone around the world is starting to feel isolation and loneliness. It's not the same for people working from home, or just having phone conversations, you need that contact with people.

this is a wonderful poem which reflects the feelings of a lot of us. i feel the same loneliness and wondering what is next. So take care my friend. Well done tim. 

Those who fear the loss of their humanity are typically those with the least to fear. They're the most human, feel more, and reach out when others draw in.

We will get through this.

I understand this situation is especially difficult for a depressed person. But you can do it so hang on.

Wonderfully written, tim I usually spend more time with animals than humans, but lately even more so. At least the horses show their appreciation for the care they get. Well mostly... Except for the ones that try to bite just because that's who they are   Hugz to you my friend ❤️

Imagine if you will the desperation if we didn't have this connection to one another ... then, remember this small part of the world does very much care little brother. Namasté

Awww, that sounds hard ... i am used to talking to people online but it is both great and weird to be home.  But i do feel more like working, and feel less stress because i do not have to commute 2 hours a day. I can sleep better as well.

Yeah, it's nice to have people around. If it ever warms up, i can take a short walk on my breaks or lunch.

I just got back from grocery shopping, so I have to admit, I am liking the quietness now.

The store did get in a lot of stock, more than normal I’m assuming, so there were stacks of stuff to replenish the empty shelves. Good humour abounded ( there was more than one bumper carts comment), but seriously, I would have turned around and walked right back out if I was just shopping for myself. 

I did get to meet the loveliest of dogs (and his owner was just as kind), so that was nice. 

As for you young tim? You’re not alone - as are none of we - because we have each other even if it is through the keyboard.

i'll be working from home 4 out of 5 days a week starting tomorrow. i was just listening to the banter & realized i'll miss it.

Excellent work. I think many people will relate to this. Ours is a world of unknown right now. Ontario and Alberta declaring states of emergency. We need to hold on to the small things … work, each other, our friends and neighbours. We need to stay home, but we need to remember others also. Call them … talk online, text, email.  For a little while our world will be smaller than normal.

Thank you. You're right, things will be a bit strange for a time, but it will be okay.

This says so much of what most of us are feeling and some more so than others. Here’s hoping we all find ways to bolster our spirits while we wait this out..

Haven't seen any of my friends irl for over a week. It's my weekly D&D game I miss the most. We do it online now, but it's not the same... Anyway, what I'm saying is, I feel you.
