The Power Of Long Letters
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Power Of Long Letters
I know things look bleak right now... but I promise you... a Christmas... and a New Year's... and a HEA... so I'm sure that you will forgive me in the end! -
The Power Of Long Letters
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Power Of Long Letters
The only thing I can say at the moment is that the infamous Drew will make an appearance and not very long now. I'm not going to reveal anything that would count as spoilers, but I'm always interested in reading all these scenarios from readers. Just as I mentioned before, the whole 'how did they get their hands on that video' has the simplest explanation possible... and this is where I stop -

The Power Of Long Letters

Jonathan knew that Drew had it all on tape, that wasn't something secret. It was also one of the reasons why the others at his old school felt entitled to torture him. So the tape itself wasn't a secret, either. I'm really sorry if these details didn't come up as clear from the text so far. As for how the people at Sunny Hill got their hands on it... well, that's something that will be explain later, and it's, in my opinion, right under everyone's eyes... I'll just shut up now. -
Chapter Thirty-Eight – The Power Of Long Letters Jonathan had felt utterly alone before. It shouldn’t have registered as something new and never experienced, and yet, it didn’t fit. Time and time again, he reached for his phone, the need to call someone too great. But each time, through sheer willpower, he pulled his hand back and lay on the bed, his eyes on the ceiling. Maddox didn’t want to listen to him. He could insist, go on and on about the same thing, or send texts that would be

Clean Up Your Act, Rusty Parker!
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Clean Up Your Act, Rusty Parker!
To be honest, I never thought of him as a trust fund brat. It would be something his parents would think in advance for him, but he wouldn't be a brat, per se. That's more like Drew, if I think about it. -

So true words! Yes, it gives us a wrong sense of satisfaction to fuel the anger and pain... although it brings us nothing good. As for the hunting... well, we'll get to that part, but not yet (gosh, people, stop making me give away spoilers!) -

Exactly! Jonathan is coming back for finals. So, his time away will be short. As for the pain... I promise twists and turns. We'll see about the pain. Sincerely, I hope everyone's going to be surprised! -

There are many directions, yes, and the story could go either way. As always, I enjoy reading the speculations readers create. However, Jonathan needs to return for the finals week, so there's not enough time to stretch for everything you included. However... read the next chapters, and we'll see where everything goes! -

A bit of time away, yes, much needed, for clarity and not only. I may surprise you with what will follow, though... -

Happy Birthday, Wes! Ah, I wish I could... but I'm afraid of precedents... it's going to be everyone's birthdays until the end of the story! -

And you are correct, as well. I truly hoped that the conversation between Jonathan and his father before Thanksgiving would have enough nuances to get people to think, and I can see that it did, which means that I achieved my purpose. The relationship between them is strained, but dad would surely help, if asked, especially since it's the family's reputation at stake. As for strings, Jonathan would think the same thing. -

Good point, @Kitt The topic will be brought up at one point, and Jonathan will have some things to prove... such as growing a spine! -

And this scenario goes to prove that my readers actually have even more of a wicked and active imagination than I do! I will so have a laugh when you read the next chapters... and at one point, you might want to go back to this particular comment and wonder how come... All right, I'll stop here! -

Ha-ha, I liked that no need for the fat lady to sing since Rusty is doing it anyway, comment. Well, I can promise you that it will be worth the wait (I hope!) And I'm happy to hear that your Fridays are just more entertaining because of my story. -

There's not going to be a lot of dwelling on Jonathan's being away, but more important things will happen upon his return. You'll all maybe hate me a little (I'm kidding myself now, probably a lot), but a new chain of events will start to unfold. This is all I'm going to say, nothing else. -

Well, you're not wrong, but to reply to the first part of your comment, Maddox has a temperament on him, and it's the first time he felt true deep hurt. He and Jonathan have not known each other long, and trust can be built. As much as we love imagining that when we fall in love, we should also be able to trust that other person completely, that's rarely the case (because of various hang-ups, personality traits, and even just the whole novelty thing). As for the second part, Xpress is very close to that, but let's not take it too seriously (just yet). But yes, Jonathan's dad could totally turn Sunny Hill upside down and destroy the rag and those behind it - it's in his power. I'm not saying he will, just that you are right in your statement. -

I'm starting to get a feeling that I overplayed something here... people are already anticipating something bad happening to Jonathan. Well, it's the kind of situation where I can't deny or confirm, but to ease everyone's minds, no, Jonathan won't get hurt physically.
