Chapter Eighteen - A Whole Lotta Benefits “So, would you guys like to tell me the whole story?” Shane asked, after their first round of shots. Mike looked like a lost puppy, and Jared still waited for the good buzz to start. He didn’t plan on helping his two friends finish the bottle, but he licked his lips in satisfaction. “The whole story?” “Mike, why don’t you just go for what you want?” Shane was direct, and Jared loved that about him, yet, right now, his protective side surfaced

Your questions are well aimed, Philippe! And yes, clues, when not together, may not make the final picture. Levine truly wants 'that' object from Rhys, without knowing, of course, that Rhys doesn't know of its whereabouts, either. As for why Levine wanted Rhys, I think it's all clear now! The team will get closer and closer to the truth, and some things might come as a surprise. But I'm not going to say anything else. It would spoil the fun, I think And there's not an awful lot of the story left, anyway. Thank you for your insightful comment, as always!

Very good point!

Maybe things will become a bit clearer after the next chapter!

Thank you, Wes! It appears that I made the story twisted enough for people to give up on guessing, lol! But I'm glad you're still enjoying it!

Renzo's insight, I believe, will be quite valuable. It may also shed some light over why he had withheld information until now. In my head, everything the characters do makes sense, but that might just be me! (Tuesday, hmm ...)

That's one more piece of the puzzle, for sure. And you might win the bet but not saying anything more.

Chapter Twenty – Moments In Time Mason began rubbing the back of his head and grimaced. Now, what the hell could he say in his defense? He didn’t believe for one moment that confessing to having have talked to Toby all this time was the wise decision. So, a lie had to do as much as he hated it. “It’s hard for me to admit --” he started, but his tongue became cloyed with guilt. Rhys’s eyes were on him; Mason didn’t have to look to know. Ah, damn it, why did it have to be so hard? He

The Only Wound That Matters
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Only Wound That Matters
That was definitely intended, about Billy, I mean. And you can wonder about his girlfriend -
Not bad guesses, not bad at all ... but I hope you won't hate me if I tell that only two of them are quite accurate ...

Thank you, that's a thorough explanation. Only that things will happen much faster than such procedures could be even put in motion -
Thank you! I can only hope that you will like the entire story until the end!

Well, you're right about one thing, Wes ... -
Chapter Nineteen – The Truth Will Set You Free “I will take the couch,” Rhys declared. Mason examined the respective furniture piece with wary eyes. Unless it could stretch about two feet more in length, it was unlikely that it could serve as a sleeping arrangement. “No. I will.” “You’re kidding me, right? I mean, the whole sense of the expression ‘crushing on a friend’s couch’ would be lost if I wasn’t the one to sleep here.” “There is no way you could fit in it. You would sleep

There will be some clubbing ... And Shane completes the group rather well, while Adrian is getting much tangled with a complicated man. As for the outcome, ah, I'm not saying anything, but I hope it will be a surprise!
-
Well, trust Adrian to tell Edward how things are. And yes, you got it right The next chapter will have more of the night out! Stay tuned!
-
Glad you do, because he has many ideas and won't hesitate to say them out loud, he-he-he ...

Chapter Seventeen – Dangerous Waters Adrian didn’t make a move to pick up the object inside the case. “What’s this?” “I am certain you know well what it is,” Edward replied. He kept his hands in the pockets of his pants, and he looked just as cool and collected as before. Right now, there was a half-mocking smile on his face, an expression Adrian couldn’t quite make sense of. “And you know that’s not what I meant. What do you want me to do with it?” Edward cocked his head. “It’s

It’s All About The Money?
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in It’s All About The Money?
I guess that's possible! Sorry, I'm not that knowledgeable about legal procedures ... but there will be plenty of other things to take the stage in the meantime, so that will kind of be the last thing on everyone's minds. Thank you for your comment! -

Ah, I'm so terribly sorry to hear that. I will certainly miss seeing your comments, but I completely understand. It won't be as long as other stories of mine, so I hope you'll come back and read it all when it's finished. -

Hmm ... I guess the fireworks will be more toned down than people expect ... or not, what do I know? (Sunday is the new Tuesday)
