It's great that readers can find such imagery in this story! I'm constantly influenced by what I'm reading or I've read, so this particular chapter might have had something to do with a certain feeling I got while reading Dennis Lehane's Live by Night.

If you pointed out the mistakes you noticed, it would be more helpful. Otherwise, there's nothing for me to learn from your comments. And I don't understand what you mean about ignoring you. I think I repaired the shiny/shining armor mistake, and even replied to you. Of course, I might be wrong since when there are many notifications, I might skip some by mistake.

Happy Birthday! Wow, we're just a few days apart (mine was on Tuesday)! I didn't know you were a fellow Leo! Rest assured that Ryan does care about Mike; however, since Mike is one of the main characters, and Ryan is somewhat secondary, I thought of giving Mike the reins in how he will deal with this. But, of course, more of the story will follow! And Adrian will have a real blast at that event next time! I wish you all the best and to live until you're 120 years old!
