  1. Hey, thank you!
  2. Thank you for your trust, Wes! I certainly hope you won't be disappointed!
  3. You're definitely right about that last statement!
  4. Chapter Eighteen - It’s All About The Money? “So, did you two follow me?” Rhys asked, as soon as Billy kicked the engine into gear. “There was nothing interesting on TV,” Billy joked. “And Mason doesn’t like watching TV anyway.” “How much did you hear?” Mason didn’t need to be told what that was about. “Did Levine trash-talked Toby?” Rhys sighed. “I’m afraid I’ll have to find another producer.” “Good,” Mason said curtly. “Did he try anything with you?” There was a sm
  5. Well, your niece was thinking outside the box, which means that she might have been on to something. On a somewhat more serious note, thank you so much for all your praises, as well as encouragements!
  6. Thank you! But Ary ... ugh, it's a bit complicated, and I hope it will all make sense once all the pieces of the puzzle will fit together!
  7. I'm mean ... ain't I? But I hope the story will present itself with such clarity that you will forgive me all my flaws!
  8. Hey, nice to see you again in the comment section! As always, your comment is insightful and touches some very important points. Guilt is a complex emotion, and that's exactly what Ary feels because of complicated reasons. And fear is a good companion to guilt (not saying one beep more). Levine's motivations are also not what they seem at first glance - and that's my fault for giving you very little to work with. It's my first foray of such magnitude into the mystery/thriller genre, so if I miss out on important points that could have made the story better, I trust you to tell me about them all at the end. It's the only way to get better! Thank you for taking this bus! (It's all about the scenic route, as I said before)
  9. That is definitely the case! It's a good thing that he has such great companions!
  10. Now that would have been something ... Toby being Levine's son, lol! Ary feels guilty ... well, for some very strong reasons, and they will be revealed at the right moment!
  11. He-he-he, correct on most accounts! Especially the last one! That's clearly the true and accurate description of that particular character!
  12. Chapter Seventeen - Halfhearted Love Mason took the locket from Rhys’s hand and turned it on both sides. It was solid silver, and it had a flowery pattern engraved on its face, so the fact that the string was just a piece of rope was striking. “What’s the story here?” Rhys took it from his hand and opened it. A small curl of chestnut hair was trapped inside. “I don’t remember ever sleeping well. Toby took it from his mother’s old case and gave it to me. We were sixteen, and he stole it.

It's very true that Jared took one to the heart since he didn't think of defending himself at all. Now he's overly conscious of everyone and everything. It's up to Shane now ... and boy, you couldn't have said it better!

He-he-he, a little bit of anticipation never hurt everyone, right? Now that sounded evil ... so sorry ... And you're right about Adrian and Edward! Bon appétit! (I mean, popcorn and ice cream ...)

Excellent guess You seem to know Adrian well! As for Jared ... well, he might put up a bit of fighting!

Thank you! That should be the tagline for this story - 'a lot going on' - that's because I have so many ideas while writing it!

It's not a ring And Jared might have something against you if you try to sweep in with such intentions, lol! He wouldn't even know why!
  20. Chapter Sixteen – Friends “So,” Adrian drawled playfully, “what have you been up to, J? I can feel it in your voice.” Jared straightened up and winced at the dull ache in the lower part of his body while adjusting the phone to his ear. “Are you a psychic now, Adrian?” “Hey, you sound sleepy but pleased. You either landed a job with National Geographic, or you got laid.” “Yeah, right. I’m already on my way to Alaska, to take photos of … what do they have there? Reindeers? You know

    Mr. Lonely

Well said! I'll give you all the pieces - actually, to Mason, and he'll put them all together, eventually!

    Mr. Lonely

Thank you! It will continue to progress, with ups and downs, of course!

    Mr. Lonely

Chapter Sixteen – Mr. Lonely Toby was silent on their way back. Mason appreciated it, once, because he didn’t care for Uber drivers thinking him insane for talking to himself, and second because there was not much to talk about. If he needed any confirmation that Rhys still loved Toby and would do so till the end of time, all he had to do was to replay in his head the conversation he had just had with Renzo Ora. Not that he could ever ask Rhys to give up on the memory of a lover who had
