  1. Ah, so sorry about that! And we have two Tony's here, in the comments! I got confused for a second and I almost skipped your comment while writing my replies. Phew, good thing I didn't! I never want to leave anyone out!
  2. Jett is 20 years old, just like April. Father and son ... ah, difficult times. But maybe it will all work out. Maybe
  3. Thank you for reading and commenting! I know I sometimes forget to thank everyone, but I remember once in a while! Things will become clearer next time, although some of you, my dears, will probably feel even more confused! If that happens, feel free to throw rotten tomatoes - the virtual kind - my way! Allow a few more chapters for the truth! It's coming!
  4. You are absolutely right about the scars ... That's why April insisted so much that Jett should talk to his dad. As young as he is, he realizes that you don't sever the ties with your parents so easily without getting hurt yourself. Sorry about hurting you I'm fully responsible. But it takes a bit of hurting to feel whole as a person, right? That's what I aim at in my stories. And, until this one ends, there might be some other emotional moments, too. PS. Tom is important, let's not kill him
  5. I guess Paula Abdul was right! And wow, that song brings back memories ...
  6. Well, I did say that I let you guys, speculate, but I said no word about confirming anything! But you're right about Tom being a lot like Jett, since he's his dad, and actually, it's the other way around with Jett taking after him. (winking back at you)
  7. Well, that remains to be seen, right? (evil laughter echoing in the distance ...)

    Secret Crush

Sorry for ruining your sleep! This story will get updated once every two weeks, just to give you a heads up!
  9. Chapter Thirty-One – Two Very Stubborn Men April couldn’t sleep. Eventually, they had pulled the coffee table aside and placed a futon on the floor so that they could sleep without waking up with stiff necks or melded into each other. While that might have sounded interesting, being forced to sleep one on top of the other hadn’t worked that well, so the futon was the solution. There was another reason why April was thankful for their current sleeping arrangements. He could toss and turn

    Secret Crush

Oh, more than that will happen
  11. Chapter Four – Secret Crush Mike examined the fern guarding the door to the elevator like an extra from an alien-themed movie, something about overgrown biota taking over some distant planet. He could take the stairs, but it was just something about elevators he liked. The idea that he was, for several seconds, in the hands of a machine, pleased him and tickled his inner nerd. He felt the same thing about high-speed trains, but he wasn’t that much of a traveler to enjoy such joyrides. So, fo
  12. That you may be right about And I'm glad that you don't see Jett's dad as being all bad! I surely don't want him to be that, lol! Thank you for your comment!
  13. It will become clear at the right moment
  14. Yes, that's true. He really wants what's best for Jett Even if he shows his love in this way, he still loves his son.
  15. Sneaky indeed! Too bad I didn't think of it!
  16. Jett and April both are 20 years old
  17. I know, it's just I was working from home anyway, and the quarantine only seemed to have increased my load, instead of decreasing it like for others!
  18. Hey, I'm so glad there's someone who likes him! He's not all bad, but I can't really contradict the readers since they don't know him like I do! It wouldn't be fair. But I'm glad you see some good in him!
  19. Not just yet! Jett's dad is here to stay for a little while! (And he's a bit important for the main story line)
  20. It all sounds like a plan, but that would be too easy, right? Let the tension continue for a while!
  21. Jett's dad is, just as I told @Wesley8890, instrumental to the story. He's not present by accident, as you will see later on
  22. The next chapter will be Sunday, but I'm afraid I will disappoint you because the conversations to which Jett or April are not present can't be reproduced - changing to a different POV so late in the story is somehow not done in fiction. But Jett and April will learn some things in a second-hand manner from their dads
  23. Thank you for your impatience! It will get updated every Sunday! That's a promise, and I won't skip it!
  24. Ha-ha-ha, the kids should learn how to do it right!
