  1. Indeed, they are!
  2. Chapter Fifty-Five – Family Is What You Make of It It was late at night when Wen came to visit him. Hearst was at work, bent over a bunch of documents that required ‘immediate perusal’ according to his boss, and since Jamie was away for two nights performing with Melinda and other musicians, he saw no reason not to pull an all-nighter even if it was Friday. His brother walked in, his hands in the pockets of his hoodie – although it was too warm outside for that sort of clothes – and st
  3. They worked together and brought Cassandra down!
  4. Yes, we can!
  5. Thanks a lot! I have a soft spot for rock goddesses myself if I may say so... Also, thank you for the songs! They're awesome and a good fit!
  6. Oh, yes, they're a team made in heaven
  7. The next chapter brings them all back (And I just posted it)
  8. She went the way of all bad witches!
  9. Although Jack and Danny did their awesome part in defeating Cassandra, I needed to have Ryder deliver to the readers his moment of glory
  10. I am to blame for not resisting the cliché...
  11. Yes, I usually don't like leaving unresolved hints along the way. That doesn't mean a few don't escape. So Danny's healing has been with him all the time, he only needed the right 'wolf' to trigger his special abilities.
  12. Chapter Twenty-Seven – A Wolfshifter Meant Only for Me “Wow. Just wow.” Jack’s voice sounded rightfully impressed. “Theo, do you see how it’s done? You should look up to Ryder. What do you mean, I should shut up? Tell me you’re not impressed. Ugh, you’re so annoying.” Danny peered at the battle scene from his safe place, still worried that he might witness Ryder bleeding, although Jack’s funny words had already put him at ease. His alpha was standing in the middle of the meadow th
  13. They will slide (the masks)... hmm, I hesitate between 'gently' and 'suddenly'... but both circumstances are correct, so I can't choose.
  14. Ah... should I say? It's a bit crazy... 61 plus epilogue... please, stick with me...
  15. Ah, Maestro, so many things here to point out... @Seraph28, I hope you don't mind me stealing the nickname you gave our resident analyst. The whole 'not risking' things - in a way, Brad does things more directly. Not to say something stupid, like he's a 'commoner' - but it does feel like he might see himself as that compared to his two friends. We're still in freshman year, memory chapter wise, and that also matters. They are their youngest here, but they will all evolve, as well as their opinions of each other and interactions. I know I'm asking quite a bit from readers by jumping between present and past like this, but I know some of you have a great time playing detective "I'm not stupid" is an important line. Brad is actually not stupid because he realizes many things, but when he compares to his friends, he says something he believes to be true as long as the others' way of perceiving him goes. It is insecurity, yes. But I love the 'cold, intellectual camp' phrase! A lot of things remain unsaid here. They are also important for the big 'why' - why Lyn and Brad didn't happen. (In more than one way, but let's leave that for another time). Oh, the way Brad plays dumb... He might have his own reasons to 'fit in'. He also strives for something he perceives as unattainable. But the truth will be revealed at just the right moment. (Yes, feel free to hate me, it's okay.) I also love how you used the 'unseen' - 'seen' parallel. 'Seen' is a powerful word. And it will play quite a role in a certain scene that will clarify a few things for Lyn. Thanks a lot, as usual, for your in-depth analysis!
  16. Jealousy, bingo As for your question on Alexander's 'strategy', we're talking here about a very stubborn man. He wants things a certain way, and what he does write now, in his eyes already counts as compromise. Lyn will think and say things about Alexander. Not all of them will be true Not even considering them as just being his opinion. In other words, Lyn will contradict himself... more than once.
  17. Yeah... I mean, I think we all do that in real life when we know someone for a long time. We're getting used to their idiosyncrasies that only an outside would consider them strange. It's also for keeping the balance, the status quo.
  18. Oh, yes! The way he speaks... of course! And they're both doctors! I guess things like that are so deep in my subconscious that they resurface naturally in my writing. How would a posh 'jerk' sound like? Ah, just like that.
  19. It does fit, but it says more about Brad's attitude toward love and commitment than anything else. Lyn might like to believe Brad doesn't see it... but the readers may very well read these scenes with a clear head.
  20. I think you meant Lyn But yes, we have both sides! And Lyn is way too rigid and harsh with himself...
  21. Ha-ha, and we have the other side, cheering then getting frustrated over Lyn's choice Looking for 30 seconds? Lol, is there a time limit before it gets awkward?
