Yes, you are so right about what you say in the first paragraph. Alexander knows Lyn - and presenting a challenge is part of their usual - mainly intellectual - games. Now, to say the truth, it's only a part of it. Alexander is also very, very proud... And he has his reasons to expect more from Lyn, while not giving up on him. At the same time, he enjoys rubbing Brad's nose in it, so to speak. But one might just interpret it as a defensive mechanism. Best defense is offense! I also like what you said last. It was easy to like Brad, after all, when they were young.

While Lyn might be set in his old ways, he can't deny that. And he'll come to realize it more and more!

The story will slowly build toward that - Alexander fucking Lyn. I just want to put it out there, so people don't worry But it will happen in a somewhat surprising way! And that's just me teasing future chapters a bit...

Lyn noticed it before! They're much alike! And Alexander would totally win the big brain contest, hands down!

He won't remain ignorant forever, I promise! As for the other guys, I'll keep my mouth shut.

Wow, I didn't think it before - or when I wrote the chapter - but that makes it feel like Brad was sort of writing Luke off a little by saying that!

He-he, a knight in the nude, I love it! And yes, it's true, the cracks are showing, and Alexander will stubbornly chip at them!

Well... I won't answer that! But I'll agree on the second point with all my heart!
  12. Chapter Twenty-Two – [Memory, Early December, Sophomore Year] – Don’t Read Into It Who knew lasagna could be such a bitch to wash off a tray? Lyn scrubbed furiously at it, determined to finish the whole stack before his shift ended at ten. “Wow,” a voice called from behind him, “did that tray kill your family or something?” It was the student he shared the shift with, a guy who seemed to be sleepy most of the time. Despite his lazy way of moving, he always managed to finish his work b
  13. Danny will remain human! And he'll be the healer of the pack, accepted and loved
  14. Thank you, Chris!
  15. That's where we'll go next And there will be Jack, Vince, and Theo!
  16. You have no idea... but I did some research to get to that term! I wanted to be something that would sound out of ordinary, all because of Danny's inner struggles with accuracy, and his refusal to lie! Yeah, town supervisor Ryder... his needed qualifications include fangs, claws, and a fierce need to protect his... town! (from bureaucrats or something)
  17. I loved the tech puns! Danny truly revealed his true self, lol! I bet his ears are still red, but Ryder will make sure to lick them and make it all go away. The sequel will start next week, without a doubt!
  18. Apparently, I missed the general vibe wanting Kat to embarrass him like that! But, in Danny's good spirit and heart, I couldn't put him through that much of a humiliation...
  19. Ha-ha, I could be saucy and give no clear answer... but I wouldn't, lol. Theodore's faith is all in Jack's cards. Let's see how he can reconcile with that!
  20. Thank you! The sequel will start next week!
  21. Yeah... I mean he better keep his mouth shut about it!
  22. Yes, and that's what that story will be all about!
  23. Of course. It was meant to happen!
  24. Thank you for sticking with it! I wanted to have a bit of comic relief toward the end... and mean co-workers deserves to witness a wolf changing shape once in a while!
  25. Epilogue Danny looked around with curious eyes. Ryder could tell that his mate was interested in getting to know his new home but, as his gentle disposition directed, he didn’t dare touch anything. He wrapped his hands around Danny’s shoulders and pushed him forward. “This is where you will live from now on. We don’t live like they do in the city, and we don’t have television, but I hope you will not miss much of your life from before.” Danny snickered. “Do you think I’ll miss hea
