Chapter Eleven – In the Dark He didn’t need to check his phone to know that sunrise was still hours away. It was the same damn thing, his brain was in overdrive preventing him from getting a full-night’s sleep. His genes were pretty strong, seeing how sleeping so little hadn’t taken a toll on his health yet. He’d rest once he made partner. Once he reached all his goals, then he’d take it easy. Only now he was on vacation, and he was supposed to rest. There were no files or documents wa

Jamie's too upset right now to listen to reason... but he'll learn more about his Cottontail (and he'll have some regrets about having a loose mouth)
-
Ha-ha, that is so nasty! (just kidding) They'd go from enemies to lovers, but in this universe Jamie belongs to Hearst!
-
Ha-ha, he does sound like the odd man out... But count on him to come up with something. Jamie won't be completely spared, but the help will come with the 'first light of the fifth day', lol.
-
And I dare to believe that it will get even more interesting...
-
Wencel basically wants someone to tell him he's right about how he chooses to proceed about the whole situation. Fueled by the desire for revenge, he still knows - something deep - that he's wrong, which is why he tries so hard to get his brother on his side. Hearst has some really clever ideas in his big bunny head. He'll surprise you, I'm sure
-
I agree with you that Wen is far from being the biblical type, but he thinks that because his parents were wronged, he's in the right to wrong others, too. I've seen this sort of logic before - it's weird, and it's not logical, but it exists. Hearst will have a game to play. He's a smart kid. Have faith in him

I don't fear spoilers when I say that Hearst will play an important role in solving the situation. And Jamie will have to see his Cottontail in his true light

Chapter Forty-Eight – Ill-Timed Confessions The nerve of that guy. Jamie couldn’t stop the muscle tic in his jaw as he walked backstage after their little get-together with fans of the show. While Will, Anna, and the rest of the gang were busy coming up with a plan, he had been charged with keeping the crowd entertained. Although Jamie had plenty of experience with talking to strangers and entertaining them, he had been barely able to wait to be out of there. The bitter taste in his mouth w

That could be the incantation of a curse... may a gorgeous opera singer land on you and smother your face, lol. Oh, what could that special sauce be
-
The epic-ness is just starting! There will be plenty of more action!

Very nice comparison! And Vince as Artemis, that's nice! Thank you for following and commenting on my story! I've noticed for a while that my stories fail to follow a mold... maybe I just have too many wild ideas in my head, lol! But I'd never write a story that bores me, because I think it would bore the readers, too! Hence all the quirkiness that's sometimes overflowing... A lot of people loved Otis. I'm so glad
-
He's getting that rematch in today's chapter! How that ends, however... I'll let it be a surprise
-
Yep, yep, and yep! And this is all I'm going to say!
-
Happy 4th of July (late, but still). Playing possum... lol. Theo would get so mad to hear such a thing...
-
I believe that most of the questions you asked are readily answered in today's chapter. They all need to learn things about themselves, but Danny is the one who's going to learn the most about himself
-
Danny has hidden superpowers! He'll learn about them in due time.
-
Very well observed! He had trained to resist the weapon, so it wouldn't have been credible to have him die from only getting hit with it by a human and from quite the distance. Also, he's relevant to the plot!

Chapter Twenty – Good Value for the Money “So, you’re telling me that he should be dead, but he isn’t?” Danny asked, only to understand what sort of new predicament fate was preparing for them. Ever since the news told them that Theodore Pembroke was still breathing, he’d been in a state that felt powerful enough to make him lose his mind. “Vince did his best. But it’s not easy to take down an alpha. You need more than just the right weapon.” “Okay.” Danny ran his hands through h
