Ah, you said it so much better than myself. I did try just in the above comment to explain why Alexander's way of being does rapport to how he was raised. And you're right - it didn't kill his heart That gift is everything to him. -
You're correct, he's not like grandpa at all, but he has reasons to act in a... let's say more restrained manner. Because of his cold and austere upbringing.
-
I'm so glad that Lyn's visit at Alexander's made clear some aspects of Alexander's personality.
-
Lyn has troubles seeing beyond the walls of his own fortress... I think it might not come as such a big surprise that he misses on cues like crazy. That's what the memory chapters are for: to contradict him in what he believes to be such strong beliefs of his.
-
I have met various people in my life, and while I don't take them and put them in my stories, I do 'grab' pieces of them. I was put - not just once - in the position to act as an emotions translator - if that exists - to make some of my friends understand what other people were trying to tell them. Hence Lyn's flaw of being dense.
-
Yes, even back then! Alexander saw Lyn as he was. He continues to see him, too, in the present. And I really love how you said it... yeah, it really did feel like that to Alexander.
-
Chapter Thirteen – The Fourth Musketeer The first thing that registered with Lyn was how much light the windows let in. The second was the realization that he must have overslept for the first time in forever. He winced as he got out of bed, his bladder reminding him – as if there was any need for that reminder – that he was way past his usual wakeup hour. He had missed his morning run, too. Was Alexander’s mouth magical or something? Why had he slept so well, especially when he wasn’t

A lot of people left the reaction 'fingers crossed'. I left a heart - because I know Hearst's plan
-
Oh, it is. I think it will be subtle in some ways, but not less intense. As for Hearst, yep, he's a player. He's devious Xpress at his best
-
Hearst hasn't run Xpress for years without learning a thing or two. Angus thinks he's dealing with a newbie, but let's remember how no one on campus ever managed to uncover the true identity of the person behind the gossip rag. I like to think my little guy is quite intelligent.
-
Hearst is working on two lanes. The successful one will be presented to you Also, as always, I'm keeping a surprise for later - it's all based on a detail I suppose - with some evil satisfaction - that it might have gotten over readers' heads...
-
A bit of heartbreak and misery is bound to run its course. Jamie can't escape that. He needs it so his character can grow. Yep, I think I'm a little of a bad mommy here...
-
I did learn from other readers the same thing... that Wencel does deserve some pity, and I understand why. He is a victim of the circumstances of his upbringing to a point. And seeing how he's Hearst's brother, he might have had a chance to be different.
-
Chapter Fifty – The Work We Do in the Dark The sound of an incoming message on his phone jolted him awake. Careful not to wake Wen, Hearst slid out of bed and tiptoed to his phone. A smirk crept over his lips as he read the message. Today, he’d meet his future lawyer, which meant that the timing couldn’t have been more auspicious. Jamie’s reunion with mom and dad would be aired today, which would make his plea more convincing. Given how shady the people at LiveFeed were, Hearst wouldn’t be

I'm so sorry I didn't manage to make this clear enough. From chapter 1, Ryder thinks of Cassandra and her warning that he should mate with his fated one before the next full moon - and she even gave him details on who his fated mate is. As others noticed - I don't recall where, what chapter - she did say something true about that - that Ryder's mate lives at the top of a tower. And Danny lives close to all the noisy AC on top of his building!

Now that would have been a different sort of story... this one is supposed to be more light-hearted. -

Oh, that's great! The comment section here is wild and wonderful! Ask away whenever you have questions -
I'd love to know the name of that song! I often use songs as inspiration in my writing.

I wouldn't put the word harmless next to her... For now, she's ahead. But the gang is coming for her! In other words, stay tuned for the next episode. PS. Oh, you have no idea... how close you are... and what will happen...
-
Ryder was already wary of Cassandra at the start of the book. But since the others in the pack trusted her that a curse was upon them, Ryder put the pack first. You're right about Theodore. He's lived with the knowledge that the ones who destroyed his pack would find him one day, and decided to become stronger.
-
It was about damn time!
-
Oh, yes. That's where the mating will happen Visit might not be the best word... but they will meet for sure!
-
I'm always happy when I make people laugh. It's not so much that Pembroke lost his powers, as it's Danny getting stronger.
-
Yes, that's true. And it's an important detail.
-
Danny is already... something, but that bite will happen. I like to think that it's going to be a cute, sexy moment. As you will see by reading the chapter I just posted, the dilemma concerning Pembroke will solve itself.
