  1. Maybe this is what they meant by the Apocalypse... they just didn't specify that it was in fashion.
  2. Definitely have to agree with Conner and go with the Triple Crown baseball winner Miguel Cabrera, as much as I hate to since in baseball I'm all about Joey Votto.. lol.
  3. I'm a Capricorn too - what are you saying? ----- Happy Birthday!!! Have a great one.
  4. oo.. I wish I had time for this..
  5. I hope people are PMing this year. I'd hate to see this die and I know there are more readers than this out there.. so COME ON READERS! Make us Authors feel good about ourselves.. haha.
  6. Yesssss.. he seems to like women that have more presence than he does.. lol.. SO.. I might put him in line to be my second husband.
  7. Ahh.. SEC has won the BCS Championship - Again. Alabama plowed right through Notre Dame... poor Fighting Irish didn't have a chance from the first quarter on.. Now you guys can get back to your Pro-football talk.. lol.
  8. Lol. Benji. Thanks. I know right?! I've stilllll got it.
  9. Aww thanks everyone! (Except Yang who called me OLD).. It was a very nice Birthday.
  10. I was the only one that wasn't scared the first time me and my friends went to a gay bar/club. One friend is naturally really shy, very good looking, but shy. So he was a bit overwhelmed by the attention he got. It took about an hour before my other two gay male friends started to dance and mingle. We made a point not to drink that time, so we could take it all in and not get up to any trouble.. lol. My friends that are a couple were insanely jealous/protective of one another. When they were talked to, they got all snuggly in an 'in your face' sort of way to ward off any advances from the other guys in the bar. I at least thought I would get hit on a few times.. I mean.. it was a gay bar, but there had to be some bisexual or straight guys mingling too.. not everyone that goes to gay clubs are completely gay. Nothing... but I was relieved that no one mistook me for a drag queen. The laser lights and techno dance music was also completely new to me. I hate loud music, it is why I don't go to concerts. The crowd was also new to us. We were completely out of our element and it took us a few months after the first time to try again. Overall, it's not really my scene, I'm more for private parties where conversations can happen that don't involve screaming over the music or walking to find a quiet corner.

  13. Boo.. Gooo Green Bay, the only pro-football team I like. lol.. and I rarely watch them unless Aaron does..
  14. I tried riding a motorcycle once... it went really wobbly and I crashed.. said that was enough for me and never got back on one... lol. A Bicycle is as hardcore as I go as far as that is concerned. Having said that though - the hobby racing thing sounds neat, I wonder if they make motorcycles with training wheels..
  15. LOL! I'm not a fan of plums, but I am a fan of fruit crumble recipes.
  16. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.. Have fun, be safe, and nice.
  17. Pretty traditional here.. although some of my family have special demands. Turkey and Ham is the primary meats. Then a few different types of salads (Salad, Macaroni Salad, Broccoli, Potato). A few casseroles that people bring. My oldest sister makes a delicious Broccoli casserole. Baked beans. Some of the family are Vegetarians, so I try to have more than a few things for them to select from... although it really adds to my work load.. lol. We have desserts, usually pumpkin, lemon, and strawberry pies. All made from scratch by me. Then a few cakes, like a Cinnamon cake for those that like to sip coffee after and mingle. We have a large family.. so it's a large spread.. I usually have to cook two turkeys.. and about a dozen pies. My mother has two kitchens though. This year with my torn muscle it was a bit of a bother to run up and down the stairs to the basement kitchen and then the main kitchen this year... but I'm probably lucky I haven't tripped or anything yet.
  18. To address the speeding... it is never fun or a smart thing to do. It is against the law - yes, even if you're not caught. I should know, I get that lecture from the husband a lot. You are on a motorcycle as well, I doubt at that speed a helmet and a leather jacket, if you were wearing either, would have saved your life if you had an accident. Men your age and slightly younger do fall into these types of fun and speed traps... adrenalin and testosterone I guess.. lol. Just be a bit more wise with your fun and have a more healthy outlet for your stress and such, because no one wants to come upon an accident for anyone, but when a person has an accident when they are out.. "joy riding" seems to make it worse, because it was a poor decision to begin with. As far as blogging, blogs can be a very nice avenue. You can do sneak peeks, post poems, explain your days/experiences. People still read and comment, just like they are doing now. You can do polls and the like as well. It is a popular spot on the website and you can choose to show those blogs or keep them for your own personal reference.
  19. As long as Joey (My Second husband) Votto isn't gay... I like gay athletes. I believe they do a lot for Homosexuality in general, because it is still a bit taboo to be gay and an athlete - well - an out gay athlete anyway. Usually they happen well after retirement.. but lately active players/athletes have been coming out of the closet. They have also tried to address the Locker Room general vocabulary to not include the ugly words. Accepting that people won't accept you - works better than venting frustrations. There will always be those people in your life, in everybody's life, so you just have to roll with the punches and work on finding people that do accept things.
  20. Just about every weekend in High School... I may have done some not so lady-like things..
  21. Lol.. I want it to be hot again... ohh I miss Summer. I'm getting too old myself to know what constitutes a big hit or a total bomb anymore and I'm just twenty-six.
  22. Country Music... bahhaa.. At least I love it anyway. The Latest Tech gadgets are always hot as well... although I'm hating that my new SUV has more technology than my current laptop.. lmao.
  23. Happy Birthday Jan! Have a great one.
  24. Such a nice young man..
