Humpback whales do have natural living predators - Killer Whales take calves. Since Humpback Whales don't have large birthrates in a female's lifetime. Species such as Humpback whales only need one or two unsuccessful breeding seasons to become threatened or too limited genetically to maintain healthy existence and will become extinct. Them finding 1,000 extra individuals is great, but it's not something that will save them as a species. Specialist animals such as Polar Bears, Giant Panda, most amphibians (Newts, Frogs/Toads, Salamander), whale species, some shark species, and reptiles will become extinct, because they are too limited climate, diet, etc. Where as the non-specialists are thriving - like most of the Canids and Rodents. (And Humans, by the way). One of the most detrimental things that can happen to a species though is the infestation of non-native animals. Usually those are non-specialist animals that do not have predators, so they thrive. (Feral Hogs, Red Fox, Giant Snakehead (fish), Burmese Python, Common Carp, Rats/Mice, Cane Toads, and African Honeybees)

I don't know why we want our Athletes and Celebrities to come out while still being 'actively' pursuing their careers. We wouldn't ask that of normal people - or shouldn't. We'd want people to come out WHEN THEY ARE READY. The only people to know that is the person pondering their lives and their coming out. He came out as a free agent, he's still actively pursuing his career. If his numbers/contributions are good enough to make a team, they are good enough to make a team. If they aren't, so be it. But he put himself out there when he didn't have to. So be enthusiastic about that instead of brushing off his bravery with what you think is good or bad 'timing.'

If you oops up on a review, correct your booboo and write another one... if it is a spelling/grammar error, I wouldn't worry about it too much. That sort of thing happens to the best of us.

He's coming out in the most dangerous time for an athlete - during their free agency - I thought that made him more courageous. He doesn't currently have a contract protecting his status within the league. Now he's coming out as Gay and putting a possible stall or possible bargaining leverage against him. So it's not bad that he came out and may be forced into retirement, it's bad that IF teams were interested in purchasing his free agency and offering a contract are now backing out. I wish him good luck.

And that my dears, bumps him up a few spots in my second husband list.

The gist of her rant = she wants her Sorority to be like her. Which sounds like she wants them to be drunken sluts.

Attendance will be crap until the summer. Most games are played in the evenings and the evening games get cold as the innings progress. Also, schools are still in session. I don't attend Baseball games until July or later for that reason. It does suck though that teams are doing so well and there's only a fraction of the crowd there to watch... But I'd rather watch them on television, you can't see how good they look in uniforms unless you pay for the really good seats.

There's a gay kicker trying to become the first openly gay active NFL player. He was one of the best kickers in all College Football his junior season, but had a few bad kicking games last year. He still hopes he will be picked up by a team. As for predictions, there hasn't been that much negativity hit the media. The biggest being a college football player saying that football isn't a sissy sport. He later retracted that statement - of course. I hope he got into a lot of trouble. Also, don't expect anyone to come out until after the off-season contracts and rosters are finalized. So it will be a few weeks/months yet. I hope it's soon, I'm curious as to who it is.

Yeah, that just struck me when you said that (the spoiler part anyway). I doubt they will go that route now, it would be insensitive. They'll probably make it as unrealistic as possible. They may even take that part out completely, although I don't know how they would do it.

I believe the haunting part is how it reads, or I see where you're coming from with the comment anyway. Yeah yeah yeah, I have a soft spot.

Aww. My Poetry is easy to read in general, but I like that the imagery was projected really well and that if flowed. I just need to stop writing poetry about Aaron, if he knew I showed everyone other than him, he might blush.. haha
